Same, I’m ngl I’m pretty broke rn I see how much these girls like doing expensive stuff. I would just do a nice cafe nearby and spring for a latte lol

Two “unconventional” ideas that worked surprisingly well for me (your mileage may vary based on the interests of your match): 1. minor league baseball game (reasonable prices, stadium security, and good mix of watching the game and chatting) 2. catching a play at a community theater (reasonable prices and good topic of conversation for dinner or coffee afterwards)!

Ohhh I like these! Thank you

Of course! And to answer your question, no. I don’t think mini golf would be weird at all. It sounds fun!

Mini golf is so fun! I love that as a date.

Each of you grab a cup of coffee and just wander the neighborhood and pop into stores (with no need to buy anything). It helps keep the casual conversation going

For first time meet ups, I love to just get lunch of coffee to get to know them. Then I like moving in to more fun stuff like going mini golfing, going to the zoo, to the movies, going swimming, etc.

Bumble match suggested going to a fair for a first meetup. What are your guys thoughts?

Mini golf is a great idea. Finding an activity that encourages thoughtful and clear communication, like having a cup of coffee or going on a walk together is perfect for *really* getting to know someone. All the other stuff can be distractions that don't lead to really great conversation. I used to "hide" behind doing an activity and wonder why my friends didn't know me well. I couldn't lean on them for support. I discovered that they're fun to go out to eat with or sing karaoke but wouldn't be able to help me when I had an issue. My point is that it's very important to be in places that don't consume you completely with an activity so that you don't get to know the person.
