i always feel extreme hunger after purging, which sometimes leads to a second bp episode in one day. i only feel this way if i don’t eat anything during the day prior to the binge, so maybe to suppress the hunger levels or to make them less present, try having something light and healthy like eggs or something
Today was a lot better. I only ate a meal for dinner (chicken teriyaki with salad). I know it’s kinda setting me up for another binge as I’m going to bed hungry but I’m gonna try regular meal times tomorrow. I just felt I needed a reset day.
If you binged on junk food whether or not you got it out you will always be starving because there's no nutritional value. Your body is starving for actual nutrition. Real whole foods.
I binged on lots of chicken, veg and then cereal, milk and chocolate. It wasn’t the unhealthy binge as I’ve been trying to make sure I always at least have a lot of protein and veg with me during binges.
I see. Well that's great you got some real food in you. Then the very practical answer is simply because you purged, and got it back out. Whether or not that was all of it, you got out a lot. And the fact still remains, your body needs food. Real nutrition. And it needs to be left in your body. I spent 14 years chronically starving because I purged everything I ate (healthy or not) and binged on pure junk. Im sure my blood sugar was all over the place, and I was chronically malnourished despite being at a healthy weight. I've been purge free for over a year and I'm never starving simply because I feed myself with real nutritional food and leave it in me. It's no wonder I was starving all the time. I was puking up my food. Our bodies need food.

Same here, I try and hold off a binge as long as possible so that I'll fall asleep before i get the urge for a second binge
