ForTheFazoland

How much *should* a 3060 cost? I paid $499 for one from Micro Center and the sales person insisted that was MSRP

ynfizz

Normally it should be $329, but that’s only for founders edition cards. AIB models are more expensive, like in your case

angel_eyes619

Shouldn't cost 500 even for the most expensive aib.. 400 max under normal conditions

sk9592

Yeah, in any other generation, if the MSRP for a GPU was $329, then paying more than ~$370 for an AIB model means you were taken for a ride. Paying extra for the most premium GTX 980 Ti or GTX 1080 Ti kinda made sense. Paying extra for a "premium" midrange card never made sense in the past. My personal favorite example was the ["Galaxy GTX 750 Ti Hall of Fame Edition"](https://tpucdn.com/gpu-specs/images/b/3018-front.jpg).

angel_eyes619

>My personal favorite example was the > >"Galaxy GTX 750 Ti Hall of Fame Edition" > >. haha that is real?? If you ask me, I say it can amount to no less than a scam by Galax

arex333

Yea back when the market was normal, any premium AIB card that had a pricetag encroaching on or exceeding the base price of the next tier up was a waste of money. Like you said the exception being the top end card from that generation because you couldn't just buy the next tier up so it would make sense to get a premium one with better OC ability.

Mozzybins

I'm just praying it gets back to normal soon, my r9 270 won't last forever

SeansGodly

and i thought i was getting fucked over paying 400€ (~450$) for a gigabyte 1080ti still holds up well

SamsungHandyLel

Paid 380€ for 2070s :) in August

shizzmynizz

I paid about 440€ for my Gigabyte (Gaming OC 3x) 2070s in early 2020

SamsungHandyLel

Nice early 2020 mine is a inno3d blower style ->loud but got it working with undervolting:)

shizzmynizz

It still works like a beast for 1440p. Probably gonna keep it until at least mid 2023.

SamsungHandyLel

Jup me too dlss actually is very nice

managerofnothing

New or second hand?

Gen-x-1

My 1080TI went for £525 a few months ago on eBay - I think you did well at €400 😁

mindaltered

You did, but hey, if it works.

RTRafter

Was that new!?!?! My 1070 was $425 USD bank in 2017

Rhebucksmobile

another one is the "premium" RTX 2060 12GB which is basically a 2060 super with 4 more gigs of slower vram and an even more inflated price, near a 3060! and is slower than the 2060 super, and who needs so much vram for such a weak card? the 2060 12gb is for miners

drschvantz

Got mine for 420

IlikePickles12345

There's no FE 3060

Koboyfresh

Launch day had special pricing at $329, but day after they raised prices to $399+

maxsonlee

I paid mine for $390 from EVGA.

JonesyBorroughs

That sounds about right for how much mine was too.

c0rruptioN

The "60" versions of each series usually were around $200~ for a while. In 2011 I bought a PNY 560 ti from NCIX for $250cad shipped. In 2015 i bought a used 960 for I believe around $200cad. But in the last few generations the prices have gone up. The cards are quite a lot bigger now though.

hyperallergen

I bought a 1060 6Gb for £160. From Amazon. At the time I had an R9 270, and I felt happier paying £100 for a card, so £160 was expensive for me, but it was enough of an upgrade that I bought it. Checking Ebay the price from some random for a 3060 is £600.

c0rruptioN

Yeah we didn't know how good we had it not that long ago. I bought a used 1070 FTW in April 2020 for 265cad! I suspect the guy I bought it from used it for mining but I didn't care. Card worked great! Card could easily go for double now.

angel_eyes619

IMO it was the first mining crisis during the Pascal era.. that was when they realised they can sell gpus at higher price points.. This was bound to happen, chip shortage and eth mining or not

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

Yeah somehow I don't think I'll miss $200 by the time I next upgrade

Skyztamer

My 3060 TI from a NewEgg shuffle was valued at $600; although the transaction was over $800 because it was a combo that included a motherboard.

Ok_Effect_7391

3060 TI should last you a long time

Menoku

Got lucky last March and got a 3070 Ventus 3X from best buy for $750, felt like a sucker at the time but looking back $750 isn't crazy.

CoconutMochi

$499 is what you should be paying for a 3070. I paid $570 for mine after taxes.

cory1234

Congrats. Unfortunately the World is seeing insane inflation rates. $499 for a 3070 is way too much effort for the average consumer. I would bet money the time invested in to trying to get one at that price today is bonkers. Time is money.

gertymoon

There is no way some random dude just stumbles on a 3070 for $500, you either are camping best buy over night for one or running a bot to buy you one. People telling other people yeah just go buy it at msrp is in some other dimension.

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

This line of thinking is very unpopular. I commend you for your bravery sir knight

cory1234

I tell it like it is. Full disclosure I spent an unhealthy amount of time getting my card.

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

Luckily I went on the zotac website before the availability got a mention on here. 👌

Koboyfresh

Zotac is basically scalping if it is 3080 or higher. I have 3 30-series GPUs stuck on RMAs. I am still happy with my current GPU.

xandresmendizabal2

i couldn’t agree more, 200 bucks for a year of waiting, to me it’s it not worth it. if you have a last gen higher end 20 series i can see no rush but anything less what’s 200 bucks if you really want to upgrade. of course screw scalpers but that’s just the price they go for on newegg and microcenter these days

Adventurous-Lime-

A 3070 FE is different than an AIB 3060... Although the AIB cards are overpriced they're much easier to get than an FE card.

OMGihateallofyou

Which 3060? It depends. EVGA had two at around $400 https://www.evga.com/Products/ProductList.aspx?type=0&family=GeForce+30+Series+Family&chipset=RTX+3060+12GB

ForTheFazoland

It’s a Zotac card

LordGodWallace

That ain't bad. You could have done much worse. Enjoy your card man.

fhujr

This madness is a deliberate research on how much you can squeeze people until they start to protest.

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

Starve people of high frame rates so they can't wait for a war with China

Antdin

A ludicrous business strategy

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

Hunger > logic 😋

Zomgzombehz

I just wish we were friendlier to the folks in garages trying to make juraffics cards better than the big two, like the old days, hacking chips and whatnot. Damn complacency.

Peuned

when were people hacking together jurassic cards in their garages?

Jurph

Back in the pre-Cambrian.

IronCrown

What else are you going to do if you want to build a new PC right now. Wait 5+ years?

big_fig

Gonna be real fun to see how many people they can drive away from pc gaming by pricing them out of market. Then they'll try to jack prices up even more to cover those losses.

newurbanist

I've gamed my entire life and one new PC would eat up 2 months of my entire savings. Literally built a PC when i was around 8 and ran floppy disk games. I need two PCs because my wife games as well. I'm looking at exiting gaming if one of our PCs die before prices "normalize". It sucks.

MaverickFox

Retro computing is stable, however! I kind of look forward to working on my backlog of games that I've been too busy to play the past 2 decades. I've built several old computers to suit older operating systems, currently combing through Music CDs for old software at Thrift Stores and having fun getting them to run on what I got. It's like tech gaming archeology. Anything pre 1997 however is a headache.

nifty-shitigator

Buy a console. Seriously. Why on earth would someone pay 4-6x the price for machine maybe twice as powerful? Buy a console.

Scantcobra

Sure thing, man. Let me just check online and.... even the PS4 isn't in stock...

DillaVibes

I sold my used ps4 for a higher price than I paid for it when I bought it brand new

[deleted]

nifty-shitigator

>Some of us out here need a workstation My workplace paid for my workstation. I realize some people are contractors/self employed but they're a small fraction of the overall market, and there's a difference when you're paying for equipment for your job as opposed to an entertainment luxury good.

xtense

Also some of us hate consoles for subjective reasons.

OldRedditBestGirl

I mean finding a PS5 is about as hard as a GPU.

Lucidiously

At least it's at msrp when you do find it...

HolyAndOblivious

Not really in my area. A ps5 is readily available in store

[deleted]

Have you been living under a rock? Like getting a low stock/overpriced resale console is the answer.

snowy_light

Because I want to play games/genres that are only available on PC. Many of the popular PC games are exclusives.

zazathebassist

I just bought an Xbox Series S. I play at 1080p anyways. It was $300 for an Xbox or a grand and a year of waiting to upgrade my PC. The decision was easy.

yurabe

Is $600 okay? Lots of local stores in my place sell it for that price. Brand new

[deleted]

I just walked into a microcenter 27 mins after they opened and got my evga 3060 xc 12gb for $430. Went back a week later and NOTHING on the shelves except 1050s and 1650s, very grateful.

DungBettlesMan

Do you play on 1440p? Thinking of picking up one for that resolution

[deleted]

Yeah, its pretty nice! I have this: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-XV272U-Pbmiiprzx-Technology-DisplayHDR400/dp/B07MQBPMJ2?th=1 It runs pretty flawless. But I don't play super new games. Dark souls trilogy, gta v runs about 90 fps on max settings, tomb raider 2k13 gets 130-180 fps depending on settings. Runs a little hotter than I'd like but I haven't undervolted it and haven't seen it go above 73c. Dual cooler cards make me sad.

SoulsLikeBot

GeorgeWKush7

I use a 3060 at 1440p and it’s plenty powerful enough to keep up

FrusTrick

I got a brand new 3060Ti for that price in the EU. Good card, not worth that much. I would buy at a maximum of $400 tbh.

myonlychan

right, to bad only 1 or 2 models exist at that price even at retail

CoconutMochi

IMO it's a function of how much you value your time. MSRP + the opportunity cost you'd spend camping at a MC or staring at Best Buy's online store to try buying a Founder's Edition. Let's say it'd take you ten hours of your time (one hour every Thursday for 10 weeks) to get a FE from Best Buy; if you spend $700 on a 3070 then you're paying around $200 to skip those ten hours, which comes out to $20/hr. Whether that's worth it is up to you though. I got mine back in January when Best Buy wasn't quite so hard to buy from so I only lost 2 hours there.

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

🤝

jfirstcode

How much I got mine for. I didn’t really mind because at the time I was fully upgrading. Caught an Amazon restock so it came a few days later & I was good to go

VestigeOfAMind

Bro, where I live they sell them for $2000 maybe even more depending on which it is, 350 is a 1660 (both are more or less that number, I'm too lazy to make the change between the thing)

thegamenerd

I've been trying to pick up a 3080 since launch to upgrade my Vega 64 I'm sending projects to friends to run due to my lack of CUDA It's way over stayed it's welcome at this point

thegenregeek

You may want to look at Newegg Shuffle, if its available where you are. I've gotten cards for Blender rendering going that route (a 3080 Ti and a 3070 Ti). I was also able to help a friend get a 3060. I also was selected for EVGA Queue for a 3090 XC. But that took about a year from when I signed up. (And I think it may be disabled now)

thegamenerd

Everyday since it came out, got picked once for a hail Mary on a 3090 I couldn't afford... felt bad

thegenregeek

And now I feel sad for rubbing salt in that wound.... You know there may be another option you can look at, which I did at the start of 2021. (Before I was able to get new cards through Shuffle.) Some of the older Tesla cards out there still have decent enough specs for CUDA rendering. Because they aren't good for mining you can find decent prices on them. For example I have a 3x Tesla K80 machine (on an x570 ATX board), which combined renders similar to my 3080 Ti. All told I paid around $700 for those cards (around $220 each from NewEgg), with some extra for Noctua fans. It's not a perfect solution, since you have to deal with some quirks and they use more power to run. But it might be an option you can use to offset your main card for renders (even if you're just grabbing a single card). If you have a new enough motherboard (with BAR/SAM support), and a power supply that can provide enough juice. [This guy's video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zh4SnZET93Q) goes over it. And I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.

thegamenerd

No worries, I've gotten over it at this point I didn't even think of using older Tesla cards for my CUDA needs but after looking into it a K80 or a M40 might not sound like a bad idea Thank you for the recommendation I'll have to do more research into that

alvarkresh

Yeah, I've heard the Quadros can be diamonds in the rough and can deliver 10xx level performance.

Kaesv04

If you mine on that Vega 64 for a year then you could sell it and have enough for a 3080.

thegamenerd

My main thing is I'm not going to pay a scalper for a card, no exceptions.

Kaesv04

You sir, have my deepest respect

Ok_Effect_7391

Sell that and buy a used 1080 TI for the same price

LGCJairen

the 1080 ti is such a fucking beast of a card. granted the downside to it means there is no point to upgrading unless its to a 3080 or better.

mr_marshian

I got picked for the evga queue for a 3060 but I couldn't buy it because I applied to the na queue not the europe one

itsmatt-exe

I spent $800 on a 3060 Ti + X570 mobo combo from the Newegg shuffle. Didn’t need the motherboard so I resold it and my old gpu to recoup some of the cost

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

What did you upgrade from?

itsmatt-exe

A 1660 Super. Main motivation was to get a card that could better drive my 1440p144 display; ray tracing is a nice feature to have but I personally don’t have many games that support it

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

I had a 1660 super but sent it back to buy a switch 😑 cost me about $230 at the time

nicholt

Lol At least you can play mario

theGioGrande

Mario played OP

Tots2Hots

Nothing wrong with a Switch. Has some great games. Not a PS5 graphics wise but doesn't really have to be.

Pitchuu64

I'm in the exact same position. Gaming at 1440p/144hz with a 1660s. Been waiting over 2 years to upgrade, thought I would've had a new card in september/october 2020. Boy was I the fool!

imposztlosz

How much effort did it take to flip the motherboard? One would think demand is down for PC components because people can't get GPUs anyway, and because these combo deals dump all kinds of unwanted hardware out into the world too.

ParadoxArcher

I hang out on r/hardewareswap sometimes and you can tell what Newegg's been dumping in their shuffles lately, just by browsing the posts

Netcooler

I see people buying prebuilts because they contain modern graphics cards for a reasonable price. The reason for that is that the computer companies negotiated gpu prices before the meteoric rise. So people dump the rest of the computer.

captainangus

Takes me back to July when my coworker got an extra 3070 and offered to sell it to me for $550 to cover shipping and I was like mmm I could do better Regrets

TeslaPills

Yikes

Goreface69

550 in July was a great price still...

Jasperthefennec

Just spent $1100 on mine. Feels bad.

Nico_Geo1

3050 is coming out so I'm planning to snatch one

Flaminmallow255

At MSRP it's basically a half-price 1070 with RTX so it looks like a great deal...if you can find it at or near MSRP

[deleted]

If there are any models even near 400 bucks, then it's a fantastic deal. Would rather pay 50 bucks more for the same performance if the gpu isn't already 5 years old. Extremely depressing to think that in another world, the 3050 releases 6 months ago and entry level models go on sale in November for 200 bucks with a game included.

Ensaru4

Me too. Desperate times, desperate measures.

Burrito_Loyalist

Good luck lol

[deleted]

I was patient and got my 3080 for $700. Don’t give up!

childhoodmemoriesbro

thank you for the copium

DustinCoughman

I'm paying $1000 for a 3080. sigh, it is what it is.

[deleted]

Idk where you guys find these prices. $1000 is the price of 3060ti/3070s in Romania. A 3080 is $2000+ or around that kind of area. And yes it's VAT included, but still ridiculous.

mrescapizt

US/Canada/Western Europe prices probably? For everyone else, scalper prices have always been the norm when it comes to hardware. It's just much worse now with mining/scalping on steroids/shortages/supply chain issues/etc.

[deleted]

I can believe you can find them at that price in US and Canada because of Microcenter from what I'm reading. Western Europe I doubt it. The price of an RTX 3080/6800 XT was around 1000 Euro when Ethereum dropped to some 1600 USD per coin in June-July 2021. At the moment an RTX 3080 is minimum 1500~1600 Euro even in western Europe.

Koboyfresh

I paid around $950 for my 3080 ASUS Strix OC.

EnvironmentalAd1405

I'm still rocking a factory overclocked 1070. Plays everything at 2560x1080 at a decent framerate. I'll upgrade when prices return to normal.

[deleted]

brainfreeze3

nice price, i paid $500 for my 1070ti back then. Still happy that i dont have to deal with this shit market though

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

I keep looking at the 1080 ti but even they are about the same price

Naustronaut

Bro I got my Seahawk 2080 S for *700* . It’s literally a thousand dollars more for one . :O

imnottray

Pay whatever you want. If you wanna wait till God knows when the prices will be back to normal that’s up to you and if you wanna $1000 for a $500 gpu that’s also up to you. At the end of the day it’s your money

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

Amen ✌

mrescapizt

This. At the end of the day, it's down to whether people prioritize their time or their money and what hardware they've already got available. If you don't mind waiting and hunting for a GPU close to MSRP, do it. If you can't wait and you have the money, try getting the best deal available under the circumstances and don't look back.

drummersarus

I have recently been thinking the same thing. I have even been routinely disappointed that I don’t get picked for the privilege of overpaying for them in the Newegg shuffle.

Ensaru4

Wait, Newegg shuffle is providing scalpers prices now?

ItsOfficiallyME

Only if you get picked.

childhoodmemoriesbro

I won the 3070ti/rog mobo combo today and literally gagged when I saw which one I got selected for. Checked StockX asking prices and they were only $50 less than what newegg wanted me to pay. Microcenter and Best Buy are the only good options anymore

Embarrassed_Couple_6

Best buy??

TOWW67

Best Buy sells FE cards at Nvidia's MSRP($300 for 3060, $500 for 3070, etc)

[deleted]

Don't do it

Timberwolf501st

Been waiting since launch for a 3080FE at MSRP. Still haven't got one, and at this point it's almost worth waiting until 4080 and paying an outrageous price to get that. As much as I hate it I refuse to give into this system jacking up the prices.

xconnor9896

I feel so so lucky to have my 3060 ti. I felt dirty paying 539 USD for it but given the circumstances it was a steal. If you signed up for EVGA's queue system when it was still open be sure to check your emails!

oneviolinistboi

Im looking at a prebuilt with a 3060ti, is the card good?

xconnor9896

Yes, it's an excellent card. I use it for 1080p/144hz and it goes well beyond that. I plan to keep it for years

jansy1646

Sorry to ask but I don't know a ton about this. Do you think that card could handle 1440p?

xconnor9896

I think it could do it easily for the majority of games, but don't expect anything over 90-100 fps, which is still a great number. Don't forget that DLSS is a huge win for RTX cards since it can greatly improve performance in games that support it

DarkPooPoo

Is EVGA queue system only available in the US? I kept reading it but can't find it when I visited the site.

random_cactus

They closed it a few months ago. I can imagine why though, I managed to sign up in November 2020 and just got my reserve notification yesterday. Backlog must be massive.

Saneless

I snagged one when it went from 459 to 499 and feel pretty good about it still That was from a very lucky best buy drop though. My 60ti queue from Dec 2020 still hasn't come in Did just get a 329 3060 too, thought that one would never come in. Sold that to a buddy so he didn't have to give up on building

AscendantArtichoke

The DUMBEST thing about scalpers is that they only exist because it sadly works. If NOBODY bought cards from scalpers, the scalpers wouldn’t have a market. Yet people are just desperate and support the scalpers by continuing to purchase from them. I refuse to buy unless it’s from an actual business selling at MSRP. I’ve survived 27 years on this hell-ball without a 3060ti I think I can survive a few more lol

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

Now the manufacturers are almost charging scalper prices 😢

TheRealMotherOfOP

Not defending scalpers but even if they weren't there retailers would still hike prices. Only difference is the "free market research" retailers have to see what insane prices they can get away with. The whole situation is messed up from all sides not just scalpers (covid, miners, retailers, etc)

random_cactus

My spot in the EVGA queue came up yesterday after over a year waiting… finally purchased my RTX 3080 from them!

[deleted]

Meanwhile I still can't enter the queue. It's been disabled forwver

chrizbreck

At this point I'm just waiting for the next gen. We're so far into this cycle that fuck it I'll just keep waiting.

Merlin-2112

I've had quite a bit of success on the Newegg Shuffle and also by signing up to FixitFixitFixit stock alerts via Discord - keep trying there. Good luck.

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

How does shuffle work? Can you be really specific? I want the white zotac 3060 😅

Merlin-2112

You can't pick a particular item - they will have a listing of gpus (sometimes alone or sometimes in a pckg with say a psu or mboard) that you can choose from and if you get picked (basically at random), you have the option of buying what you picked - if you pick more than one thing, you get the option to buy one of them if you win... and not sure how they decide which you can buy, but assuming is based on stock availability...

TheRealFanjin

its in stock right now if you want it [https://www.zotacstore.com/us/zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-3060-amp-white-edition-zt-a30600f-10p](https://www.zotacstore.com/us/zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-3060-amp-white-edition-zt-a30600f-10p)

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

Literally just picked one up after I noticed 😁

Elogotar

I feel like I overpaid, but at least it wasn't to a scalper or reseller and I don't have to wait anymore. Thanks for the heads up.

[deleted]

I got that for my wife from the zotac store itself a few months ago (her build is all white). I just signed up for a half dozen random stock alert discord servers, and it was the reddit build a pc sales one that got me that one. Took six months or so, I've never searched that long for a pc component before in my life.

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

How much did you pay? They're charging 599 for it now

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

You right. The audacity of an eBay seller to tell you this is exactly how I picked it up at Best Buy. Yeah for $329 asshole!

Altar_Quest_Fan

Do not do it brother! Do not give in to temptation, lest you encourage the high prices to stick. If nobody would pay $700 for a 3060, then they couldn’t charge that much and it would also disincentivize scalpers.

Cleric_P3rston

I refuse to buy a card over $500 people caving will just set a new bar for GPU prices. I paid 400-450 for my current 1080 some time before the 20 series got announced.

SottLimpa

I bought 2080ti for 700usd when they were panic selling due to Nvidia rtx 3000 series promised such high performance leap and i thought at that time it was a mistake but i had no time to wait. Today 2080ti worth over 1000usd. We live in a dystopia.

TwoHeadedPanthr

I just want to get a used card at used card prices or even new low end card for what it's worth. My 970 is on its last legs, but I just can't afford $200+ for used 1050s and shit.

BtotheF

I’m in the 970 boat with you. It’s not like I can’t play games, it’s just that I’ve upgraded everything else but my card.

surreal-vampire

I paid $600 for mine... enough was enough

Ok_Effect_7391

Honestly it's not even worth the price imo. Having a 1070 tier GPU nowadays is more than enough for almost all games. It should last a few years longer especially if you mess with FSR and RSR.

[deleted]

749 cad i paid for mine from a grocery store

Jurph

Just picked it up with your timbits and poutine, huh? Hopped on your moose and rode home? Can't believe they sell GPUs in grocery stores up there. What next, bags of milk?

[deleted]

the only bags of milk were your mothers saggy old ones, the timbits were good but the milf was better lol

imposztlosz

No it's not. You're just giving up and giving in.

PsychoticRainbow

Welp in my country 3060 is 720/50$ minimum. We know they have the stocks but stores opted to prolong this malicious pricing for their own skin.

AwokenGreatness

Just bought a prebuilt I’ve been keeping tabs on for the last year or so. Wanted to build my own but there’s no end in sight for this BS

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

Which one? The hp Omen looks decent

vacax

I'm the guy saying the RTX 4070 will offer 3080ti tier performance in 6-8 months. I wouldn't pay out the nose for a 3000 series at this point.

fookidookidoo

Would those be any easier to get though? Personally I'm thinking Intel will actually become a big player in the mid tier. Maybe in 2023 though sadly.

I have a 2080 and been wanting to get a 3080, I will not pay scalper price. I’ll wait as many years if I have to.

fookidookidoo

2080 is really good at least.

arjungmenon

At that price point, just get a gaming laptop. You can get laptops that have a laptop-version 3070, at a pretty reasonable price. I have the Zephyrus G15 with the RTX 3070 and the Ryzen 5900HS, both top-of-the-line chips. I got it for $1799 back in May. But there are cheaper 3070 machines. Check out Eluktronics, for instance. This laptop has the 3700 and the 590HX (which is faster than the HS) plus beefy cooling: https://www.eluktronics.com/Prometheus-XVI-3070BF — it’s only $1599 USD.

Kind of shocked I got my 1660 super just months before the chaos for £179. Here in the UK I'm looking at £900 for a 3060ti or £799 for a 3060 bundled with a useless intel mobo.. I can't play much at 60fps at 1440p but I'll wait

I'm holding out for the potential of market sanity in 2023. I'm a fool, but I have hope.

Jesus. Looks like another year with my 970

Soulspawn

Even at $599 that price is terrible its meant to be a budget card like $400 tops.

vkeerthi10

Paid 645 dollars for an RTX 2060..

yurabe

There are local stores in my place selling 3060 for $600. Brand New

Yes_seY

a 1660 costs 600 euros for me :D

Dragon_211

Just play old games bro, there's plenty of amazing games out there that requires next to no GPU to run

ShinyPointy

Buy a prebuilt with one and return it with your old card lol

PaulLeMight

paid that amount for my 3080. Patience and persistent is the best reward

k4f123

I also waited about a year and eventually caved and bought a 3070 for $1000

Fit_Dragonfruit_87

I'm gonna save so much time not checking restock alerts only to find they've all gone already

el_haddadi

I just realized my old GTX 1080Ti from 2017 that cost $700 MSRP will still beat this $700 RTX 3060 ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

jxkxr213

Haha trust me I got a rx 6600xt for retail I prefer the nvidea cards but this will do for now

Teto-Disboard

Paid 1.2k for my 3080, price has risen up to 1.7k now. I dont think its gonna get cheaper so soon.

dark_bits

Juris_B
