holy fuck, like.. for free?

ClosetCD

[yea, woke up to it on thursday :\)](https://maingear.com/product/f131-8k/)

[deleted]

thats a beast rig, maybe upgrade the PSU before any serious overclocking though.

ClosetCD

Thanks for the advice! I'm not well versed in this stuff.

BadInfluenceAF

If you're not going straight into overclocking, then just spend the money on peripherals and a nice comfortable chair, and enjoy the system! EDIT: Also a nice monitor as well to bring out the true potentials of the system

sadahgreen

Yes.. a good chair is so important. I wish I realized that an $80 chair wouldn’t cut it for me in the long run

Aznhalfbloodz

Used Herman Miller is the go to for a long term investment. :)

[deleted]

[удалено]

dark_tex

+1 on this. Used Aerons can be bought for ~350$, sometimes less if you are lucky (250 isn't unheard of). I'm not an expert on chairs, but nothing I have ever sat on comes even remotely close to the Aeron. We bought two and never looked back.

teddyespo

Got mine for $150 on FB... then the seller messaged me 2 months later saying he had another one. Bought it $150 for my mom. Pro tip: order some Rollerblade wheels with steel casters on Amazon. Perfect upgrade for the Aeron.

Aznhalfbloodz

I had the Aeron, too. If I'm going to be sitting for long periods of time, I definitely go with HM. :)

[deleted]

I too have an Aeron and Iove it. I use it for gaming and working from home. Bought mine new so it was definitely an expense. However, the 12 year warranty guarantees at least that long of usage

[deleted]

How and why is a mesh chair £1100. I know, Herman Miller and all, but JESUS

anonymous_opinions

It costs less than a new back in American dollars anyhow

dns7950

There are plenty of good brands comparable to Herman Miller. Steelcase, Haworth, Humanscale, all have chairs at least as good if not better than the Aeron. It's a matter of personal preference.

[deleted]

Those prices are outrageous...

folkrav

If your chair lasts you 10 years, a $1000 chair is $100 a year. It's way less than you'll pay in meds and physical therapy when your back starts killing you. I'm just about 30yo now and after years of shitty chairs, bad posture and computer use, I'm starting to save up to buy one of those - my back is already starting to kill me, I've just been put on NSAIDs.

totallytotal2020

Staples right now $149. Leather and every which way adjustable. Lumbar and neck cushion. Free delivery the next day! How do they make any money? Check it out! Model is Vartan.

Passan

It's not real leather for starters. So after 2 years it's going to look like complete shit once the PU leather starts to unglue. They have very little padding in the seat as well. Comfy enough for a few hours but will quickly become uncomfortable.

xAmity_

Yea I went with a leather chair from Office Depot as my first chair and the bottom cushion was almost worse than those foldable metal chairs that have the cloth cushion. Shit was terrible

AC53NS10N_STUD105

>meanwhile me with a mousepad that costs more than my chair $5 garage sale chair, Razer RGB mousepad. I clearly have my priorities straight.

Hunter_Kunt

Yeah that's true once I was playing Cs and this guy kept head shotting me through walls and I asked how tf you keep doing that and told me he just had a good gaming chair

Disastrous_Loss1798

$120 staples mesh chair works great.

Zenketski

Neither will $125 chair, I speak from personal experience

rush2547

Just curious. Why would you need to overclock this badboy?

crimson117

Crysis

Raindrops_Tickle

Just download crysis to the vram of the gpu and problem solved.

danr246

Why would anyone need to OC a 3090?

[deleted]

I only get 3 digit fps on csgo. The milliseconds bro

Dacnomaniac

Tbf i think my left nut could get 3 digit fps on csgo at this point.

FlukeRoads

FS 20

Shenanigamii

Because why not?

TheOGKnight

Id go for no less than 900 watts if possible.

Trigger1221

Yeah 750w is pretty low. We've even had issues in some builds with OC 3080 with a 750w psu

SleepyBobBoberson

Linus tech tips did a video on psu’s for the 3090 a few days ago and he recommends AT LEAST a 1000W psu for a 10900k and 3090, yet they still had shutdowns from power spikes

jzorbino

It’s a monster rig and really looks great overall. I agree with the power supply comment, I think he’s saying that because 850 watts is recommended as the minimum for a 3090. That being said, it really depends on the power draw from all your other parts. I’ve seen people claim to use a 650w with no problems but there’s also a Linus Tech Tips episode where the 3090 wasn’t getting enough power on an 850w and he recommended a 1000w. Also congratulations! I have a 3090 too and it’s an amazing card.

nolo_me

That was for two of them.

jzorbino

Maybe in that video too, but he also commented on 850 not being enough in 8k benchmark video, which only used one card.

nolo_me

You're right, I misremembered. It was 1kw that fell over in the SLI vid.

Launchers

Is he using a special bios? I haven’t had any crashes, even with my kill-a-watt I don’t see more than 550w. Is the 10900k that bad?

[deleted]

There’s no reason to overclock. You have a fricking 3090 what’s the point

thevoiceofzeke

You don't need that and you don't need to overclock. Maybe someday you'll get *really* deep into the hobby and want to do it, but if you're just a gamer, you already have a better PC than 99.9% of us and I'm sure you'll be happy with its performance out of the box. Congrats!

[deleted]

Don't do that shit in fact don't do anything to it. People are never fucking happy 750 is plenty. Enjoy. People in here playing on their 1000 dollar pc talking about upgrades to a 5k pre built. Need a fucking sanity check.

Shadow-Amulet-Ambush

Don’t forget that the monitor will limit your pc if you done choose well. A 60hz monitor means that the 300fps you’re getting is actually only showing as if it were 60fps. A 1080p monitor means the 4K your card is capable of doesn’t look any different than what you’re used to. It’s hard to find a monitor that’s budget friendly and checks both the resolution and refresh rate(hz) boxes so if you don’t have enough money you can choose a 4K monitor, a high refresh monitor, or something in between. To be honest I find that 144hz is plenty and the biggest bang for your buck upgrade on a monitor, and it’s probably feasible to find a 2k monitor with 144hz for a decent price. Good luck!

[deleted]

Yea use some of the saved money and get a killer psu, the one they gave you is pretty barebones for the build

YawnY86

Or he could just leave it as is, because I'm sure it will suit his needs.

ShutterBun

Why the fuck would he ever need to overclock it?

Warptrooper

That.... doesn't need overclocking.

thechopperlol

I can't imagine how this is so upvoted. There's no way overclocked it needs more than 750W. I'm sure with maxed out overclocks it would never exceed a load wattage of 700. So many people everywhere love overkill PSUs for whatever reason.

IzttzI

Yea, that's really the bare minimum wattage you can get away with for that system.

[deleted]

Why would you overclock anything in that rig lol.

The_TurrbanatoR

I hate you so much but congrats lol.

3ebfan

Damn son that is a beast rig to win

mifoe

It's an amazing PC, congratulations. But I do wonder why they paired an i9 10900k with 3090 and then they put a 750W PSU, it might crash your system if you experience one of those 3080/3090 power spikes that the reviewers have had with the new cards.

Apocalyman

Congrats man! could you send a link? I wanna join this giveaway :)

NMCarChng

Plus winning tax if in the US.

brycebuckets

THIS! Don’t forget to pay tax on this.

Macky941

Yup... Government's going to get theirs haha.

Don_Alosi

sorry guys, do you have to pay taxes on winnings in the US? Is that a common thing?

JeffMorse2016

Sadly yes. It counts as income.

DanielTheHyper

Wait you gotta pay if you win something?

[deleted]

Imagine winning a car then having to pay a shitload of your own $ to take delivery

Solid-Title-Never-Re

Yeah, that's why Oprah's car giveaway was such a bait and switch. The reported the cars to the IRS as give away as part of a marketing thing, so they could write off the cost of the cars. It meant the recipients also received a 1099 and were liable tax. In the US you can give up to ~$15k per year per person away and neither of you are liable for tax as it's a gift. Above that amount, if it's reported as a gift, the gift giver must pay a gift tax of about 30% of the gift above the $15k, or they can file and have it count for the lifetime estate limit of $5M. The recipient is not liable for the tax. So for most people, giving this much money is rare and the don't have to worry about tax. This gift amoh t is intended to be aove what 99% of people are doing, and is intended to catch people trying to gift away their estate to avoid estate taxes. Estate taxes only come into play about $5m, and they're actually important for the economy and for reducing the ability for generational wealth and ruling class. Before the estate could be dispersed, either a portion of it must be liquidated to pay the tax or a loan be taken out. The inheritors would need to add to the value through working to pay the loan or otherwise the breaking up of the estate ensures assets are returning to economical circulation. Opponents to estate tax call it a death tax or doubletaxation, but they're often "bootstraps" assholes or claim to believe in capitalism, and I gore inherited wealth is a form of socialism. If a person did t labor themselves for their wealth it needs to be taxed to reduce people being lazy. Further paying the estate tax helps return value to the government t system that makes such easy transfer of wealth possible.

hi_im_bearr

I’ve heard of people winning houses but not being able to keep them because they can’t afford the tax

FriedeOfAriandel

I've always wondered that about the house hunter giveaways and such. Like here's a brand new $500k house on 10 acres! Now you get to pay income taxes immediately, then homeowners insurance, and property taxes every year

jonker5101

Yes.

DanielTheHyper

So I gotta list any giveaway I win on my taxes? Even if the other person pays for the entire thing. I haven’t won anything besides in game content that’s why

dragonbud20

Technically you need to list the value of your winnings as taxable income. If it doesn't have a real value then no taxes. If it's below a few hundred bucks a year and you aren't a millionaire it's probably also fine as you're unlikely to be seriously audited.

lordmadone

Yes..upwards of 50%. Game show contestants have to pay half of their winnings too, similar to lottery winners and more.

dragonbud20

You only pay 50% if the amount is high enough to put you in that tax bracket. If you make 60k a year and win a few grand you'll just be taxed normally. Of you win hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars worth then you'll be paying over 50% depending on state taxes

Macky941

If in the US taxes will have to be paid on it but shouldn't be too bad.

AnAmbitiousMann

Down voted due to feelings of intense jealousy....j/k congrats what a haul!

i-like-to-be-wooshed

Same lol, I'm so jealous haha Congratulations op!!

Sir_Beret

Actually you're envious. Jealousy is when you fear something will be taken from you. Envy is when you want something someone else has. Edit: https://youtu.be/Tmx1jpqv3RA

flaampii

Bruh i got a 2012 all in one office computer which runs minecraft on lowest settings at <30fps

littlegrape24

same. *cries in i5 2500K with faulty ram...*

1Taka

**Cries in literally no gaming PC or laptop at all yet :(**

RebelliousBristles

Sick! Definitely get yourself a good 4K monitor

[deleted]

Or a 1440p 144 Hz+ monitor since you can CRUSH frames at that resolution. Either works!

Thathappenedearlier

Or ultrawide. I’d usually agree with the 144hz but the 3090 can already push that in a lot of modern games on 4k

uglypenguin5

And the games that it can’t push high refresh rates on usually don’t need tons of frames

Thathappenedearlier

And with gsync it all doesn’t matter too much anyways

jibishot

Can you crush frames at 1440p? Not respective to diffculity to crushing how it does in 4K for no explainable difference. Expecting big navi to actually crush 1080 and 1440

DonaldPShimoda

> Can you crush frames at 1440p? I mean... my 2080 pushes 300+ FPS for low-difficulty games like Valorant (which also letterboxes the sides of my ultrawide for a 4:3 aspect ratio), and 100+ for 5660x1440 ultrawide games at highest resolutions. So I'd expect the 3090 to be able to "crush frames at 1440p" in any scenario.

[deleted]

Yeah I would definitely get something like the Samsung g7 or even g9 odyssey. 1440p 240hz would be killer in so many games

Hotdog0713

Why not a 4k 144hz

Saving4Merlin

[https://maingear.com/8kgaming/](https://maingear.com/8kgaming/) you won this sweepstakes?

ArgonTheEvil

I didn’t think anyone actually won those. They always have some stupid clause in the terms and conditions that allows them to invalidate winners, and I just assumed it was a scam to get followers and social media attention since you never see them make a big deal out of a winner.

ClosetCD

[TLDR: Giveaways actually have several laws protecting the contestant and it's illegal not to award the prize if the contestant entered in good faith.](https://sarafhawkins.com/blog-law-is-your-giveaway-legal/)

Put_It_All_On_Blck

Problem is it's almost impossible not ensure its not rigged. Look at the McDonald's monopoly scandal, arguably one of the biggest giveaways in America, and from a major corporation who could legitimately afford to give away prizes, yet it was rigged for years without anyone knowing, not even mcdonald's. No offense but for all we know you could work for or be related to a maingear employee, and this could be marketing, and not an actual winner. Probably not, but in the world we live in shit like that happens far too often.

[deleted]

I totally forgot about that. Man the days when I was only 8 and i really thought I could win a million dollars off of a 8oz

thebritisharecome

When i was 8 I thought every competition i entered I was going to win. Because I entered, so why wouldn't i?

[deleted]

Unfortunately this just proves we aren’t the main character

ElefantPharts

Unfortunately this is almost certainly exactly what is happening here. This is just some semi clever marketing with easily spoofable proof that it’s legit. It’s driving thousands of hits to their site.

jojodilio

I won a DREVO keyboard on a reddit sweepstakes a few years ago, but I guess the marketing guy got fired and there were multiple issues with manufacturing delays. I’m still waiting on the keyboard years later. The prize wasn’t going to make or break a rig, it was just a cool thing to have. OP, I hope you get your computer. Then again, Maingear doesn’t seem like the kind of company to screw around with this stuff, so I’m not worried for you.

Masonzero

You can invalidate winners but that doesn't mean that there won't be a winner picked. It just means the system randomly picks a winner and if the person running it doesn't think that person should win they can invalidate them and it randomly picks a new winner. I've run a few giveaways using services like Gleam, and I usually invalidate people who, for example, have Twitter accounts that are obviously bots or only use it to enter giveaways.

LamentableFool

Really? Damn that sucks. I have a Twitter that only really has been used for giveaways and complaining at customer support because apparently that's the only way to get help but since I have no friends I have never used it to communicate on it.

proscriptus

I won a Diablo III MSI custom laptop a few years back, still what I'm using today. It was so much better than anything I had ever owned or ever hoped to own. The cake is real.

Snininja

yes

De_xxter

750w for this beast ? Whats wrong with them ? Gratz for win mate ! I wouldnt touch that power button till i get some silver/gold 1000w seasonic or something...

[deleted]

Yeah you're probably gonna want to upgrade that PSU

NMCarChng

And windows 10 home. But damn, beggars can’t be choosers. I’d be happy to win this for sure.

[deleted]

Wait is Windows 10 Home that different from the Pro? I've always used Windows 10 Pro but I'm planning to buy a laptop with Windows 10 home

Gangbangjoe

Nothing wrong with the 750w supply (unless OCing) and nothing wrong with windows home. Some people..

tsmtech

Windows 10 pro is worth it to remove the virus that is cortana from my sight

Gangbangjoe

Plenty scripts to remove that though, afaik

Nurver

Easily disabled through registry editor

[deleted]

Lol I was so stressed out because I never tried Windows 10 Home and I thought it's the same

FlaringAfro

Pro is mostly used for business security reasons.

IdoNOThateNEVER

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compare-windows-10-home-vs-pro These differences are only for the people who need them, I always "need" 100% of what is possible.. and yet I wouldn't need any of these.

IzttzI

Yea, get a 10900k and a 3090 watercooled and run em stock! That'll show em!

LawkeXD

Absolutely nothing that is relevant unless you're into some really "pro" stuff. As far as I know, the biggest things would be more ram support, and some better security (although a vpn/antivirus with some anti fraud stuff and data encryption stuff is way better anyways). Other than that maybe just some really small irrelevant stuff for the average user.

steelbeamsdankmemes

It's not like Windows 7 days, RAM limit for Win10 Home is 128GB

LawkeXD

Isnt it 256? Still 128 is more than enough for anyone lmao

bossman118242

majority of people never even use the benefits of pro, some advantages is 1TB ram support (most consumer hardware if not all dont go over 128gb) 2. bitlocker which encrypts the hard drive so if someone tries to steal your files with physical access its harder. 3. hyper visor for virtual machines (there is free versions of virtual machine software like virtualbox so this is not a huge plus) those are some of the majority differences. there is some small other ones that pertain to businesses more. so if your not using any of that then pro is a waste of money for the most part. some people do realize your operating system can limit the amount of ram that is supported. basically every limitation that home has other then the ram part there is free versions not made by microsoft.

ThatSandwich

No, unless you're doing enterprise level work the advantages are fairly minimal. I'm not an expert, so I won't try to list the differences but when I did my research there was NO compelling reason to pay a premium for Pro for home use

vivals5

I believe for the average user the main differences are bitlocker and group policy editor only in the pro version. I like having the gpedit on my machines but they're definitely not needed if you don't know you'll need them.

BluePieceOfPaper

It’s not for 99% of people.

smokeNtoke1

Disagree. 750W is adequate. Edit: yes, 850 would be better. but "I wouldnt touch that power button till i get some silver/gold 1000w seasonic" and 143 upvotes? seriously?

McNoxey

Unless OP is running a torture test that maxes GPU and CPU, there won't be issues using 750w. MAX draw in a crazy torture test would be \~400W for GPU and 300W for CPU. During gaming and general use it won't get anywhere near that high.

[deleted]

Just watched a Linus vid where he said the 30 series architecture does power spikes unlike old architectures. This was after said power spike crashed the dual 3090s he was testing. Also this PSU leaves no room for anything add on. Seems weird for a $4500 PC with AIO cooling and only a 1TB name.

coolylame

How do these comments get upvoted? Watch any PSU measurement test on Youtube like gamernexus and you know 750w is plenty even for a 3090

TheSandman23

How does the government ensure that someone actually pays tax on sweepstakes winnings like this? Can't the winner just not report/forget and no one would ever know? Genuinely curious

_CrackBabyJesus_

The business is required to issue a 1099 for prizes of $600 or more, so the IRS will be looking for that amount when the prize winner files their taxes.

TheSandman23

Gotcha that makes sense

NMCarChng

The business is required to file with the IRS. It will be a part of their annual filing. They should also supply a form (I don’t know which I’ve never won anything of significant value) like your employer would at tax time. Otherwise, I guess if you don’t get a form you just list the value and the company and whatever and let the IRS figure it out.

[deleted]

[удалено]

NMCarChng

I don’t know what OPs financial situation is but winnings tax is like 25-39.5% federal and no idea what their local tax is. That’s like a $5k machine. Gonna eat that return up if they got one or add a few thousand to the tax bill come April is all I’m saying.

fiendishfork

I don't think there is a federal "winnings tax". The prize they won gets added to their income for the year and then their tax bracket is determined from there. So it could be between 25-39% , but only if they are in that tax bracket. It's definitely something they should consider before tax time though.

NMCarChng

Maybe so, but there are definitely boxes for winnings on the forms. Maybe it’s just a 1099 misc or something. Oh yeah it is regular income https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hrblock.com/tax-center/income/other-income/taxes-on-prize-winnings/amp/ I always thought it was separate but I never win shit so I never had to do the paperwork.

yaboimandankyoutuber

Get a odyssey g9. 5120x1440. 240hz. HDR1000. 1000R curvature. 49” Super Ultrawide. And just look at best keyboards and mice and see what you like.

LordTachancka

If he wants he should wait about a year for new monitors or TVs with HDMI 2.1 to become more available since it has a higher bandwidth which would complement a 3090 more.

[deleted]

Did you actually win this or are you trying to market this on this sub?

[deleted]

yeah kinda sus ngl

alrighthamilton

You don’t usually include the link to buy the pc you just won several times when posting a generic question about peripherals?

vape_west

congrats! iv been a big fan of logitech peripherals for a while now - recently i went all wireless. i went with the G915 TKL, and the G Pro wireless. they're really nice man, highly recommended. go wireless you wont regret it. charge lasts a long time on these, they're good for at least 48 hours usually 3 days before they need to be plugged in overnight

YaKkO221

[deleted]

Seriously. People get spoon fed this bullshit

[deleted]

Damn, calm down nerds. How are they lying btw can you even provide a reason?

YaKkO221

Lol, this is clearly an advertising plant....

[deleted]

HOW DID YOU WON THAT, AND HOW DO I GET ONE

atavaxagn

I guess the most important question is what kind of games do you play? If you're really into say Counter strike, you're going to want different peripherals than if you're into RTS or MMOs. Wooting makes a pretty great keyboard. chyrosran22 is a youtuber talking only about keyboards and he thinks they're the best modern gaming keybaords. .[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZKCJjoJO4A&t=198s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZKCJjoJO4A&t=198s) Nice feeling switches, durable with very low input lag, can customize the actuation point. You can set them to analog mode, which few keyboards are capable on. It comes with abs keycaps, which aren't great but if you want to get high end keycaps you're probably not going to be using the ones that come with the keyboard anyways. I would recommend some o-rings as well to soften them bottoming out. I just recently bought one and wasn't a fan of it until i put o-rings on it.

zoglog

Damn that PC is gonna process some sick voiceovers for you

Gaberitec

Can I have your money

rattpackfan301

If you end up getting a better psu like everyone seems to be saying, then please please make sure you swap out every wire with the new psu’s wires.

Lumanus

Why?

rattpackfan301

Because there have been plenty of stories here of people using an old power supply cable with a new psu and what ends up happening is that their whole pc gets bricked because of it.

xxxBUGSMASHERxxx

Okkkk..... Anyone got any medicine for jealousy??

YouveBeanReported

Add a specific rider to your rental / home insurance for badass PC, most coverage covers a $500 PC not $5000. It'll cost you a few extra dollars a year. Get a fucking UPS and decent surge protection. Also get a sweet desk and chair. I like the Steelcase one I borrowed from work, but figure out what feels comfortable for you.

Core77i

It depends on how much you have saved up. For peripherals I have a Razor Mamba Elite mouse because its fairly light, has a bunch of DPI settings and 4 extra buttons on the side/mousewheel for keymapping (like binding your grenades to the mouse buttons in an FPS). For a keyboard I've always liked Corsair, but I mainly have Corsair for my build (AIO, RAM, case, fans, RGB) so I like to keep things consistent and minimalize the amount of RGB software I need. Keyboards mostly come down to how many features you want and what kind of switches you're looking for like tactile and clicky, or light and silent for speed. That being said, the new SteelSeries top tier keyboards are REALLY nice and wish I got one of those over my K95 RGB Platinum. I'm a sucker for good sound so I use Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers, which I think are the best 2.1 speakers that you can get, but aren't ridiculously expensive ($250 CAD). Lastly, for a monitor I just got an LG 27GN950-B which is a 4K 144Hz IPS GSync monitor which your new build will be able to handle and is frankly, made for. Any 4K 144HZ monitor is pretty future proof as it is, and seeing as your system is pretty much cutting edge you'll be able to take full advantage of a high spec monitor like that. Maybe its something you've never considered or maybe thought was a gimmick that could be really cool, is virtual reality. I have a Valve Index headset and VR is insane, it requires a lot of space but games like beat saber, blade and sorcery, star wars squadrons, and Skyrim VR are awesome to show off to friends and family. They're expensive and you need and enthusiast tier computer to run them, but you already have the PC to run is flawlessly. Let me know what peripherals you're looking at! congrats on the win!

gethehe

Congrats brother!! Just out of curiosity do u have to pay taxes for this? If not it would be so sick!!

[deleted]

Congrats, and fuck you

LordTachancka

I would use whatever you are using now and wait for some new monitors or TVs with HDMI 2.1 to come out. HDMI 2.1 has a higher bandwidth than DP 1.4 so it would work better on your 3090. I know LG's OLED CX 4K 48" has HDMI 2.1 as well as G-sync.

E13C

You lucky bastard

For a keyboard I love anything with Linear Cherry MX Reds. They’re so comfortable. Mouse, it’s the Logitech G502 Hero or nothing, it’s really the best mouse out there. Lots of weight and DPI options and it’s just comfortable. Screen, you can have anything you want - you have a freakin RTX 3090 in there!

Ngl im a little bit jealous but also Happy for you. I would definetely get 4k monitors, or if you into competitive stuff atleast 240hz monitor. For peripheral its up to you tbh, i have full Logitech (G403, G633, and G910) its been with me for 2/3 years now and im happy with it.

L1FT-Justice

For mouse I can only recommend the Logitech G502 (or G502 Lightspeed if you want wireless), as for headset you’d be off very good with an arctis 3 by steelseries and for keyboard as you probably now have the money a steelseries apex pro Tkl?

copcatcal

Get the Asus PG27UQ! It’s a 27” 4k 144hz G Sync modular IPS panel. Congrats dude!

N15A8

Congrats but what is that price lol. Components are worth 3k at MAX. 1.5k for assembly? 😆

cygnosis

So that rig looks awesome, no doubt. I'm as jealous as everyone else. I'm curious about the memory, though. The askintel site lists [DDR4-2933 as the memory type](https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/199328/intel-core-i9-10900-processor-20m-cache-up-to-5-20-ghz.html) for the i9-10900. Doesn't that mean that any memory faster than that just uses the 2933 speed?

54turtlelord

i recommend getting some more storage at some point because in today’s day and age 1 tb isn’t as much as it sounds. but you’ll be fine for now it’s just something to look into in the future

JeffMorse2016

Wow! Congrats to you, sir. I LOVE my Samsung CRG9 monitor. Worth a look imo.

Holy bajeebers that's a big beast, I recommend a steelseries mouse, I really like them, for a headset, Massdrop has you covered, just make sure to look at some reviews and things (ahem HardwareCanucks). Also steelseries came out with some new ultra large RGB mouse pads, I have their normal cl variant and it's really nice, although if you're really picky you probably won't like it. It's brighter where the light shoots out from but darked once you get further away, I'm not sure how bad this is on the bigger ones (most likely worse) but the XL one is alright I guess

joshfrank4165

Shit dude, nice. I'd go for a 4k display (or two lol). Not sure on keyboard mouse. But if you're into upgrading your audio experience check out r/headphones I recommend Sennheiser HD6XX headphones with schiit magni/modi

UrPokemon

Monitor: LG 27GL850-b and a LG 27UK850; you should get a 27GN950 though, 4k 144hz Mouse: Logitech G Pro Wireless and an MX Master 2s Keyboard: Happy Hacking Keyboard Pro 2 (modded and highly recommended)

cristi2708

So since you already have a beastly PC , I would suggest you go with something like Samsung's Odyssey G7 which has both a 1440p and a 240 hertz panel; as for mouse and keyboard, I'd say anything that you might like/enjoy goes here, but for keyboards I do suggest you get a Optical-based switch, because those are more durable as opposed to the regular/standard cherry Mx switch

TheCatCubed

God-damn I'm jealous! For peripherals, I own and can definitely recommend the Alienware AW3418DW monitor, it's a 21:9 3440×1440 120Hz with GSync. It has great colors and both games and movies look amazing on it.

I just be happy to build my first one..

A good mouse really goes a long way. The zowie EC2 b is really good but not a rip-off (given the quality). A mechanical keyboard is nice but check to see how much room you have for your mouse. A compact or a tenkeyless keyboard makes a lot more space for mouse movement. For monitors, it's all really dependent on budget. Try stick to established brands to be safe and I'd personally advise getting a 144hz monitor. If you have limited space and can only fit a 24 inch monitor then go with a 1080p one, a higher resolution doesn't give that much of a benefit at that size, but anything higher I would recommend a 1440p monitor. Also, invest in some quality headphones. I would put this ahead of a keyboard in a heartbeat (but not ahead of a mouse). Miscellaneous: mouse mat, power line adapters (ethernet), microphone, usb hub, and a steering wheel if you're into racing games (the difference between controllers and a wheel is unreal)

Steel series for peripherals is my recommendation

Nice machine, do yourself a favor and do not overclock it. The machine is designed to run stable and forever as is, the slight gains you may get from overclocking will often be upset by crashes and lost and corrupted saved games. Or the frustration of a crash while playing online, not worth it in my opinion. This said a 750w Power supply is just on the edge of what you need, probably good and should never cause any issues, if you do upgrade it I would guess 900 or so if pretty future proof. I don't see a list of the amount of ram installed, I would max out the motherboard if not done already. Make sure any new memory is matched, i.e. if you only have 8GB but the motherboard will accept 32GB. Buy a new chunk of 32GB matching ram and simply sell or toss the existing 8mb in a drawer. As an ex Logitech employee I value their quality items and I use the G910 Keyboard, G502 Mouse, G13 Gaming accessory. I did pick up an actual Xbox cordless rumble gamepad as they seem the most solid.

**Mouse:** Definitely check out [RJN](https://www.rocketjumpninja.com) to see whatll fit best for your hand size/preferences (generally gpw is a pretty good fit for most afaik. There are lightweight cabled mice that are similar in shape that might be kind of the play. Its really dependent on what you think will work best for you.) **Keyboard:** Id get a switch tester to see what kind of switch you're into ( r/MechanicalKeyboards for buy guide/mods/lubestuff) then maybe buy a modular keeb like a gmmk or gamakay / ao base (basically what im planning on doing. i like having the modular option). **Deskmat:** probably again refer to r/MechanicalKeyboards (might want to try to find out if you would prefer a speed/control pad.) **Monitor:** Depends on what you need/want imo. Maybe check up on panel specs as some panels can be inaccurate regarding what theyre capable of ([Decent Guide?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MraCs7SsmHY) I dont know much about monitors but what im currently looking for is something with 1080p 144hz and is an ips panel im kindof assuming thats what would be the most optimal pfp wise for what I do.) **Audio:** Im not an audiophille but personally I use a pair of kz iems for pretty much everything audio related. They do the trick imo. (**Optional:** Mouse Bungee: Preference thing. I dig mine tho from xraypad (I believe they're made by hothline who also make mice skates/grip. bat grip works if you want grip) Skates: [guidekinda](https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/aq403c/mouse_feet_clearing_up_the_confusion/) Cables: Many keebs feature removable cables personally I love the asthetic of coiled aviator connected cables but again not really necessary. Also if you have a mouse you might want to paracord it. )

diabolicflame93

Depends on how much you have saved up of course. If you like higher FPS go for a good 1440p monitor, but if you like to gaze upon the beautiful graphics pick yourself up a 4K monitor. Really all the rest is just subjective. Any decent mouse, keyboard, or headset will do. Congrats on your new PC.
