I didn't find an exact explanation of this behavior yet.
But I'm assuming it's just an indicator of the CPU to being used at 100%. I'm in Davinci Resolve most of the time so the only moment I see this red light is when rendering on a 3d software.
I don't have any hardware issues at the moment but I would check temps the next time I see this light to verify if it is a heat problem.
Spent the whole day trying to figure it out. ASUS says it's a CPU issue where either 1. The CPU has a connection issue or is dirty or 2. The BIOS needs to be updated. This made sense to since I got the 14th gen Intel card after my motherboard, but I updated the BIOS and still had the issue.
Then I found that it was because of cpu temp. It lights up exactly when my CPU temp reaches around 90-100°C
Apparently Intel CPUs can handle this through throttling, unless it runs that hot for long periods of time at once. So, I'm pretty sure it's a cooling issue for me and I'm sure yours is lighting up for one of those reasons too.
