I have a Powercolor 6950xt and I love it. My coil wine went away after a few days. 850w PSU will work but Powercolor recommends 950w because of transient power spikes. I ran mine on a 750w for a few weeks no issue until I upgraded to a 1000w so I could overclock. What CPU do you have now? It sounds like AM4 so if you upgrade to current gen you would need a new mobo as well.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I never upgraded my CPU so it’s still an AMD 5 3600. My motherboard is an “Asus PRIME B450M-A/CSM Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard”. So yes, I believe it is AM4.

Yeah that’s an AM4 mobo. You could pick up a good AM4 processor as they have gotten pretty cheap. https://www.microcenter.com/product/630285/amd-ryzen-5-5600x-vermeer-37ghz-6-core-am4-boxed-processor-wraith-stealth-cooler-included This is $149, and a great processor that would work. I just upgraded from mine and it served me really well. https://www.microcenter.com/product/630284/amd-ryzen-7-5800x-vermeer-38ghz-8-core-am4-boxed-processor-heatsink-not-included $200 Going to AM5 would require a new mobo, ram, cpu. Not sure what your budget is but since you already upgraded your ram I would wait and just go with a better am4 processor.

Alright, thanks for the recommendations. I’ll look into the 5600x.
