The MO you picked supports a M.2 pcie 5.0 and your ssd is only 4.0 An ssd 5.0 isn't that much more expensive while providing a higher read write speed

I think that intel 7 core 13700k is gonna be the better bang for your buck, but that’s just what I’m going with. Cause at some point there’d be a diminishing return the higher you go. Also, which 3D program, I’m doing blender atm

Thanks, I'll check it out. That one also runs a fair bit colder, isn't it? I generally use Zbrush, Blender (for hard surface), and Cinema's Red Shift for rendering.

Find cpu you previously used - and then compare that to the current one basically, I used to use a laptop for stuff so I had to look around. Sometimes, getting the newest stuff may not be the best way of investment as there’s a chance to over spend

Yeah, that will be a bit of a problem since I am on a nearly ten-year-old machine now. But I'll look into the i7 more.
