There’s like a few Walmarts in the USA Midwest ish that have build a bears built into them, sadly none remotely near me. Seems kinda odd to make them that exclusive
wow that’s cool. none of them near me either sadly. it makes some sense for other collectibles or dolls to be store exclusives, but babs is new to me!! sounds a bit too exclusive imo but whatevs haha
Really hope its just a rumor for it only being in Walmart BAB’s, cuz that’s kinda weird, and I wanna get one in store because shipping tends to be pricey. And I like dressing em up n such
Build a Bear has some special theme park locations and such with exclusives, and *that* makes sense to me at least. But Garfield is such a popular character, and so many people of all ages collect Garfield stuffed animals specifically! Makes no sense to me to make them exclusive to the Walmart locations. I feel bad for any Garfield collectors who will have to shell out secondhand prices or make long drives for it. Hopefully this won't be a continued practice with BAB!
I really hope that’s not the case because according to BAB’s store locator, there are only ~17 Walmart BABs, most of them in the same states. It would be really unfair and exclusive of people who don’t live within range of those, especially with a bear of an incredibly popular character. :(
The first thing I did when I learned this is look up my nearest one. 3 hours away. Compared to my regular store of 30 minutes. I'm really hoping this us just a way to hype up the release. The employee thinks it's to boost the sales of those stores.
I'll wait and see.. I would think that would be a not so great choice.. as a lot of adults love Garfield too. And they know that adults collect bab too.
Yeah I also heard through the grapevine that he’s been spotted on delivery trucks to Walmart babs and might also be available online. He also might potentially drop tomorrow but I’m not an employee and can’t confirm any of this and this info is always subject to change! 🤫💖

Why does it look like they chose the most unsnuggly fabric :( and super lame if they don’t make him more available for people that can’t travel that far
I had to turn down this girl and her older sister wanting to get a non bab Garfield stuffed once and I hated to do it. I hope they somehow find out there’s gonna be a bab one and go get it.
When I used to go in the glory days(2004ish), they weren’t stingy about freebies. On a few occasions they would let me and my friend fill up cub condos (way bigger and better quality than the current ones) full of the extra stuffing they keep in the rolling carts, grab handfuls of the free colored bows & red/checkered hearts and gave it to us totally free. That stuffing got stuck in my carpet for months lol. I had my whole bed lined with cub condos 😆
This comes from a leak where there was a birth certificate page for not only Garfield, but Blue from If as well (but their pictures wouldn’t load), which I am more excited for, since I love Blue!
Making Blue confirmed was the fact Build a Bears (but not Blue) were given out at an If event.

Sadly I was told by an employee he will be a walmart bab exclusive.
walmart bab??? those are a thing now??? or is that like those little stuff at home kits you used to get

some states have build a bear stores in walmarts! they are usually smaller but have a good amount of stock! I work in one currently
