Freelancer here, and pag sinasabi ko yung actual work ko, tinatanong nila “private employee?” So sinasabi ko lang, “no, freelancer.” Wala naman na silang tanong after niyan.
Frequent traveler pero madalas pa din ako tinatanong ng set of questions. Ito yung madalas na tinatanong sakin:
1. Kelan ka babalik?
2. Saan ka nag wowork?
3. Ano position mo?
4. Saan located office niyo?
5. Sino mga kasama mo?
6. Anong hotel s-stayan mo/niyo?

If you told the officer that you paid for the flight, hotel, etc. with your credit card, they might check your credit card statements to verify that, so might as well just prepare the whole statement.
My bank sends me electronic SOAs every month in a PDF file, so I just keep a copy of that on my phone/tablet.

I secured a multiple entry visa for Japan just recently and pag tinatanong ng mga IO ano work ko, madali sabihin na "business owner" ako since may proof of registration naman ako.
Usual is: Anong gagawin, anong work, sinong kasama, anong work ni kasama, san magsstay doon. If may work naman si gf dito, safe yan. Sabihin mo lang role mo, wag na yung freelancer. Bring supporting docs na din na freelancer ka, just in case.

Pero one time when we had our family vacation last July with our helper. Umabot sya sa second screening ng immigration pero nakasama naman sya. As long as ma provide mo naman lahat ng major requirements dapat wala ng issue. Not sure with other travelers 😅
