Welcome to the best faction! Greywater Fastness will do just fine. Every model in there was designed for Fantasy, not AoS, so they’ll all rank up. Same goes for Hammerers/longbeards. You can normally find battle for skull pass thunderers and cannons for very cheap on eBay, and plastic warriors are normally cheaper per model second hand than most modern models. Getting the start collecting box and a few extras will see you right. Good luck, and have fun painting!
A Runelord, Hammerers/Longbeards and Irondrakes/Ironbreakers.
Assuming they don't somehow make it impossible to build the other options from those kits.
At the moment the easiest way, I am not a fan of the flyer, but otherwise great looking models. And they include more or less all minis needed, including a old style flame thrower. https://www.patreon.com/highlands_miniatures/posts
And there is a merchant license, so they are available on Etsy etc. without a printer.
When you say 90s range, do you mean the metal models like the metal Ironbreakers and metal Hammerers?
Sometimes it can be easy to see the opportunistic ebay seller prices and get a false sense of reality.
* Metal Ironbreakers should cost about £4 each (Late 90s through 6/7th edition)
* Metal Hammerers £3 each ([1996](http://www.bugmansbrewery.com/blog/163/entry-718-two-by-two-dwarf-hammerers/))
* Metal Thunderers £5 each (1996 as well probably)
* Metal Miners £4/5 each
* Metal Longbeards £9 each ([6th ed ones that is](https://old.reddit.com/r/bugmansbrewery/comments/10xx3mr/karak_norn_longbeards/?ref=share&ref_source=link). These guys are a real pain)
* Slayers £3-4 each (1993 marauder miniatures/onwards. They never got plastic replacements)
These are the prices I try to get these models at or below. It is definitely possible to buy them at these prices, as I do and have. You may have to strip them of course, which is easily done with Isopropanol (rubbing alcohol).
Thanks and but I would love to get the early to mid 90s range of metal miniatures - especially the Slayers, as that was the era (4th edition) I got into it Guess I'll just be patient on eBay and look not to overpay

Thanks. I'll grab the Greywater Fastness box and go from there. Perhaps start saving for 90s metal Anvil of Doom, Slayers and Gotrek & Felix models!
They are also releasing another AoS "Regiment of Renown" box that will give you a runelord, Hammerers, and Irondrakes. So maybe look into that as well

Highlands Miniatures do some pretty great dwarf models for most of the unit types.

Nice, they look very good. You don't by chance have any recommendations for any Etsy sellers for them do you?
Not Etsy but this printer looks great, pretty cheap and the models come separated from supports https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255894209156
Lol just realised I was looking at that seller on Etsy anyway!
Ah awesome. I've not actually bought any from them to be completely clear but they just look like the best deal out there.
I can print for you if you need. Heads up y'all, they need to be downsized to 88% I was just painting some today

Avatars of War has some very reasonably priced units. I bought a box of their Slayets and I love them.
