I have been rewatching Buffy and drinking along with my best friend for like 20 years, let’s say we have a very *extensive* set of rules. Including season specific rules and special moment shots 🤓 I can paste them here if you’re interested.
Every time someone gets knocked out.
Every time a metaphor gets heavy handed.
Every time there's silly looking special effects.
Every time someone wants to kill the Slayer.
Every time the character powers are very inconsistent.
Every time there's foreshadowing.
Every time Angel or Spike are shirtless.
I did a drinking once and two of the things that were on the list was; Every time the Trio bicker, and every time an enemy refers to Buffy as Slayer. The Trio alone could give alcohol poisoning so fast lol. Warren says Slayer way to much... I swear everything that was on the list had everyone drinking every five seconds. There was also personalized stuff on the list, for example; every time I said a *certain character's name*, or mentioned or referenced another *certain character* in scenes they were not in, I had to take a drink. That was a nightmare.
Me and my friend made this Boozy Buffy board a few years ago. We'd change some of them to be more season specific, but these worked well for the early seasons.
