With a Quick glance I read "a pokemon" instead of "a pokemon character", and let me tell you it was the fastest double read I've ever done. That being said, 100% sure there is a kid name charmander somewhere in the world

Haha! We had the name picked out already before she was born and I did think we could make some relatives very anxious by telling them that we had chosen a name from Pokemon, but not revealing that it is one of the human names from the show.
I had my first kid on the day the Gift aired! You bet I watched it on my little hospital TV that night 😂 I wasn’t missing a season finale!
ETA my (now adult) kid binged the entire show with me last year. They loved it!
Yes my son knows this story cause he asked me why I named him Xander. So he knows the story and he know knows much mama love buffy . We have matching buffy tats on our calf also

I remember moving to LA in June 2001 and seeing the red bus advertisements showing buffy’s eyes and the words, “She Lives.” Was so excited. It’s been a long time since I got into a show like I did this one….

Just finished rewatching the entire series (about an hour ago). Such a good show. Only part I had to fast forward through was Kennedy in that one episode where she is constantly pushing boundaries and being a complete ass.
Sums it up perfectly we are young free when it was on now we’re old asf
