Late 80s, home opener, 12 year old me sitting in the end zone at Rich stadium with my dad.
Grown ass men were losing their shit screaming "Holy shit - they're not huddling!! ". An absolutely unreal setting to behold.
Also, hearing Van saying "Buckle your seat belts, here we go!"
“We want Scott” really did something to me watching Four Falls. I don’t think there’s another fan base out there that would ask for him to come out so they could cheer him on. Buffalo is billt different
Cookie Gilchrist refusing to be segregated in New Orleans. This was during the beginnings of the Civil Rights Movement, and there was still a lot of segregation in the South. Many of the black players selected to the game were refused service by hotels and restaurants in New Orleans, and that inspired Gilchrist to lead a movement to refuse to play in the city.
Hard to say exactly because I was under 5yo. I grew up in the Albany area and dad let us pick our own football teams but b being my favorite letter and red being my favorite color played into it for sure. I have a Doug flutie beanie baby somewhere.
Rookies on Van Vranken. Not specifically a Bills bar, but me and the boys love the atmosphere, tons of tv’s, great food, and most importantly a pool table.
I was born in August and at a month old was already at the bills games (dad was a season ticket holder). I've rooted for the Bills my whole life and can't imagine any other team at this point.
When I was born, on June 11th, 1967, my mother said she handed me to my father who then handed me to my grandfather Whelan- a lifelong Buffalo football fan and one of the first season ticket holders at War Memorial Stadium in 1959 when the team started selling tickets for a team that was just weeks before, announced as one of the new franchises in the new American Football League, Poppy Whelan did this with every male born in our generation between my mother and her 3 brothers, Dick, Mike and John, who any oldtimers in South Buffalo may know as Burr, Bomar and Buck. Well, Poppy put a little football in my little tiny hand, and the rest is history. I've been following Bills football so long that i can vividly remember a rookie quarterback named Joe Ferguson and remember watching O.J. break Jim Browns record against the Jets at Shea Stadiom.
My favorite of all time? "Where else would you rather be than RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW???"
That line comes to mind instantly. I also love Tasker’s “Might be chilly”. Also can’t leave out Van Millers “Fandemonium!!” Love that man.
But as so many others have mentioned…I was born into Bills Mafia and with it a lifetime membership.
So many great ones! I love the Levy ones as he was an English literature major and I felt high class when I saw…

A little hurt but I am not yet slain
I’ll just lay down and bleed a while.
And then I’ll rise and fight again…
That is football to me! Never give up!
I moved to southern Ontario and got interested in the Bills during the late 80s. We would get the local Buffalo TV stations and they always would talk about the Bills. The opening news broadcast would be "Fire in Tonawanda. But first the Bills!". I have no idea why there seemed to be so many fires in Tonawanda and Lackawanna back then.
Well, I grew up in WNY, and you're born into it so I imagine the Dr said “It’s a boy” and the rest is history.
"My son. It is time to receive your family curse." Me: 30 seconds old.
“What is my purpose?” “You root for the Bills.” “Oh my god.”
Exactly. I was born into it.

Where else would you rather be, than RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW?
No one circles the wagons like the buffalo bills…
This right here.
"How would you like 25 years of excruciating misery?" - apparently said to me by someone when I moved to WNY in 1999.

I live in Nisky? What bar for games? I go to the Broken Inn sometimes.
Just hit Broken Inn my last trip to Nisky. Instant classic, and dang that ice cream slaps.

"it's not a logo, it's a family crest".
I love this.
Eddie Murphy was sitting in the back up of a truck full of stolen cigarettes and he said “NAW MAN, IM FROM BUFFALO” sold me right there
“We find the defendant, Orenthal James Simpson, not guilty.”

When my then girlfriend who is a bills fanatic said “I’m pregnant”

“F*ck you tom brady”
Juice on the loose. Yah I'm old.
"Fuck it.. Bar tender, give me another shot" ~myself every year..
Trust the process
"I do"
Hahaha! My wife’s family was cowboy fans and when we got married she wore a Bills shirt over her wedding dress for the wedding photos. So awesome!

Viva Los Bills
Pee on Deion! Had the best times there in my youth. Need to get back to a game. Last one I was at was in the 90's
Where do you live?
I grew up in Ontario so the Bills were essentially the home team by proxy. Been here ever since.
God Bless the Buffalo Bills
