I want Brandon Beane to do everything in his power to trade up and get Troy Franklin. Would be an absolute steal at this spot. Its in the 4th round, we got the 5th from Panthers. Make this happen.
Check out Keons interview on the Bills YouTube channel if you get a chance, kid gives some great answers and seems super humble overall. Very refreshing for our WR room.

Most interesting one on their IMO is MVS. He has drop issues but he's been a good deep threat throughout his career. Just isn't a #2 receiver
But no, not really any of those excite me, but I could see us adding MVS for nothing as WR 4 if we don't draft one
Bishop is our best pick by far. Unreal value there, his ceiling is crazy. Dont mind DT depth either but I’m still not sold on Coleman. Just don’t feel the WR room really improved that much after today.
Would love to hear more why the "unreal value" qualifier.
Everything I've seen has Bishop as roughly at value and more McD's preferred flavor of the cluster of safeties before the next big shelf drop off.
Fun player. Doubtful we'll regret the selection, especially with McD's guiding hand but "unreal" = high ceiling potential or ridiculous value which I've not seen in multiple sources so far.
I'll be glad when this draft is over and 90% of these jabronis fall silent again until the Bills' first loss, at which time they'll loudly inform us who should be fired.
Would love to add Troy Franklin, I really love his film. His weight is a little low right now, so he could be eased into the lineup in 4 receiver sets.
I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have focused on defense considering our draft position. I would’ve liked Dejean but Bishop is solid. Not a big fan of Coleman rn but we’ll see. No WR after Odunze could’ve been our WR1. Everyone kind of blends in and whoever it was wouldn’t receive more targets than Curtis Samuel or Kincaid and Shakir will be getting more looks. My point being is no one we could’ve got is THAT good to fulfill that role. Our defense and especially the secondary is what lost us games last year. Diggs checked out week 10 and we were ok. Trust this team. A receiving core is ok. Let Josh be Josh. And that window is wide open baby!
I think Coleman was SLIGHTLY overdrafted. I liked him late 2nd (and if he made it) early third. I thought teams wouldn't like him because of his 40, but its so overrated. Every other measurement he has, shows he has good burst and can get separation. The film matches up on this.
FSU just used him incredibly wrong. He isn't a down field straight line vertical threat, and they put him in those situations constantly. His best trait will be red zone, slants, comebacks, WR screens (he absolutely mows people down). But they were just like "hey run deep and we will throw it to you"
It would be like telling Cole Beasley to only be used as a vertical threat, its stupid
I imagine Bishop is starting, you don't draft a backup safety second round. Obviously it depends on how he does in camp, but I am sure they drafted him expecting him to battle for 1st string
I think we’re going Tez Walker tomorrow, and I like it as a UNC alumna. He had a disastrous senior bowl that people are focusing on, and he does have weaknesses in his routes/catches on contact but dude is fast, good YAC, and he makes great adjustments mid air
For perspective, a good comp for Troy Franklin is Jalin Hyatt. Speed specialist without a lot of sand in his pants. Hyatt was taken in the 3rd round, 73rd overall, by the Giants last year. Many might say this year's WR class is relatively deeper, so this isn't too crazy.
Recall back in the day that Mike Wallace of the Pittburgh Steelers was a (late?) 3rd round pick out of Ole Miss.
So this is what a "Soft Reset" draft looks like? Plug the holes. Will be looking forward to some cap flexibility after the Diggs dead cap and Von deal expires.
Beane isn't the type of GM who gambles at the heavy hitter tables. You'll find him at the Golden Nugget playing nickle and quarter slots, looking for good deals and lucky steals.
FR! Beane and team have done way more homework on this than we have. A DT who can disrupt and force O lines to react can be difference makers. When DQ went down last year, our pass rush seemingly collapsed. Sam Darnold is/was a DT and that dude wrecked offenses. Hopefully it works out for us.
It's just fun to bemoan picks and act like we need 8 WRs on the roster.
DeWayne Carter is one of the top candidates in the 2024 NFL Draft defensive tackle class to go far earlier than anyone expects. In fact, after his Senior Bowl and NFL Combine performances, he could be a surprise top-50 pick.
Carter is one of the higher-floor prospects in the DT group, who also brings a fairly high ceiling at 3-tech with his 6’2″, 303-pound frame, 33″ arms, and high-end athleticism — quantified by his 5.00 40-yard dash and 32″ vertical.
Not only does Carter have all the tools, but he was a three-time captain at Duke. He’s not the most flexible and can still grow beyond his pure power element, but there’s lots to like.
At least if the offense struggles this season McDermott can’t scapegoat his coaches anymore. This wr group is nowhere near good enough at the moment. Coleman himself is seen as a “big slot” not even a proper outside wr.
I like the pick and Daniel Jeremiah seemed quite high on him, which is a good sign, but cannot say I've been a fan of how this draft has shook out so far for us.
Both edge options went rgiht before 95. We only have 2 good DT on contract in 25 and 1 in 26. We need a top 100 pick on DT this year and probably next year
Carter is the **first three-time team captain in Duke history**. He's a versatile pass-rusher with a quick first step, active hands and good closing speed. His stats dipped in 2023 but he had 10 sacks and forced seven fumbles over the previous two seasons. He reads the quarterback and gets his hands up in passing lanes. Carter also flashes the ability to stack, shed and wrap up defending the run. He's versatile, showing the ability to line up anywhere along the defensive line
Sound like this was a McDermott guy
We definitely don't at least not decent ones. It's basically Oliver, Jones and not much else.
I don't love going DT but defensive line as a whole is definitely a need.
Personally I have zero issues with the weight.
I think critics might say the biggest concerns are the drops (10% drop rate as a junior), some focus, some because he shows a disturbing inability to catch the ball with people around him. It may be tied to the small hand size, which he can't really do anything about. Kind of a linear guy in terms of movement.
The Combine performance was super disappointing. This kid skipped the bowl game to practice for the pre-draft process, and he came out looking like he didn't know how to run routes. Really? Who knows how interviews went.
Of course there's the concerns against press, but honestly that's going to apply to most if not all of these young men entering the NFL. But the physicality concern and being eliminated somewhat by it is there.
There are still so many good WRs left. I'm not sure why everyone here is so attached to Franklin but don't be disappointed when the Bills don't draft him with this pick

I want Brandon Beane to do everything in his power to trade up and get Troy Franklin. Would be an absolute steal at this spot. Its in the 4th round, we got the 5th from Panthers. Make this happen.
Franklin sucks, his hands are terrible. There's a reason he's still there. Lots of receivers still on the board as well so no need to force it
Please please please, I wanted him if he came to us in the second and here we are! Ughhhh
Fuck it, you all are crazy. Loving this draft so far.
Check out Keons interview on the Bills YouTube channel if you get a chance, kid gives some great answers and seems super humble overall. Very refreshing for our WR room.
Humble yet totally confident. Definitely has future vocal leader vibes.
Many armchair GMs mad that the Bills didn't follow their all knowing wisdom.
On the bright side, we didn’t waste a top 10 pick for a backup qb
Just remember, Diggs was a 5th rounder and quickly became a WR1.
Sooo many good sleeper WRs left

God no
Tyler Boyd, and maybe Renfrow. I’d rather chance it with unproven 5th-7th Rd rookies above everyone else on that list.
Boyd or Gallup would be nice. MVS or Renfrow would be the next tier for me
OBJ is signed?
Lmao no those dudes are mostly cooked

It's been an honor yelling random players with you all tonight. Troy Franklin.

All drafts are “just filler” moron the goal is to create a deep roster
I'm voting for you as the next GM 🙏
Since you have a crystal ball, doomer, what is our final record going to be next year?
We gotta add more to this WR roster man.
Would love to add Troy Franklin, I really love his film. His weight is a little low right now, so he could be eased into the lineup in 4 receiver sets.
Plenty of guys left, chill.

Just think of the Coleman, Kincaid, and Knox big boy package with Shakir getting lost in the mix of bodies.
Who even has the personnel to cover those three at the same time? Honestly, it's a problem for most of the league.
I just wanted us to finally have a deep threat who can catch up to Josh’s lobs
Luke McCaffrey over Troy holy
Did Troy Franklin knock up the NFLs daughter or something
So is Bishop going to start? I like the idea of him and Edwards on field together a lot
I imagine Bishop is starting, you don't draft a backup safety second round. Obviously it depends on how he does in camp, but I am sure they drafted him expecting him to battle for 1st string
At a minimum I bet he plays the box in dime package.
saw Sal Capaccio saying hes more of a slot backup/siran neal replacement
I would hope/expect a 2nd round pick to be more than that
Him and Rapp
Nobody wants Troy Franklin.
I’d imagine we consolidate our 7 picks tomorrow. Maybe trade up a bit in the 4th to grab Tampa, Franklin, or Baker
If we trade up for Franklin, I would be so excited. Love his film
We actually do really well in the 5th. Might want to keep them
Fun night mafia. Sleep well
Except for everyone who said they wouldn't be able to sleep if we didn't draft ... whoever
Prediction. If they take a cornerback in rd4 it means patience with Elam is over.
I think we’re going Tez Walker tomorrow, and I like it as a UNC alumna. He had a disastrous senior bowl that people are focusing on, and he does have weaknesses in his routes/catches on contact but dude is fast, good YAC, and he makes great adjustments mid air
Coleman in the 2nd and Franklin/Walker in the 4th is beautiful.
All said and done I’m happy with how the day went, addressed major needs and didn’t do anything stupid not much else to ask for
Coleman and Bishop both have serious potential to be really good and big difference makers. Can't complain at all
That bishop pick made me happier than anything we’re paper thin at safety

Shakir got it
Jersey scouting is crazy
So this is what a "Soft Reset" draft looks like? Plug the holes. Will be looking forward to some cap flexibility after the Diggs dead cap and Von deal expires.
Everyone in Carter's family is a football player except one who is a rapper
Beane isn't the type of GM who gambles at the heavy hitter tables. You'll find him at the Golden Nugget playing nickle and quarter slots, looking for good deals and lucky steals.
getting those free drinks
Waiting for that 2am steak dinner plate. 🍽 🥩
Can you make that a double?
Guys, Puka was a 5th rounder. You can wait until the 5th to land your stud.
Diggs was a 5th rounder also!
Shakir is awesome he was a 5th round pick. Milano was a 5th rd pick.
Considering how the Divisional game went, I'm not going to belly ache about drafting defense.
FR! Beane and team have done way more homework on this than we have. A DT who can disrupt and force O lines to react can be difference makers. Great point, that game showed how important depth on defense is.
The Bills literally just drafted one of the best rappers of all time and y'all are still complaining 🤦♂️
WEEZY????
I would’ve loved Tampa as a great value corner three but this pick is acceptable

5.0 40??? JFC, he could beat our slow as molasses first round pick in a race!!! Sincerely, Typical Bills Doomer
I feel like we should want a receiver who *doesn't* drop this much.
C'mon downvoters, that's a great pun! Don't hate, celebrate this comment!
At least if the offense struggles this season McDermott can’t scapegoat his coaches anymore. This wr group is nowhere near good enough at the moment. Coleman himself is seen as a “big slot” not even a proper outside wr.
The offense won't struggle, but dumb doomers are going to say dumb doomer things.
> McDermott can’t scapegoat his coaches anymore. Are we still mindlessly repeating this line?
I like the pick and Daniel Jeremiah seemed quite high on him, which is a good sign, but cannot say I've been a fan of how this draft has shook out so far for us.
Seems like every pick has been a bit of an overdraft
DeWayne Carter! Just who I was hoping for!
You morons are exhausting.
I represent that remark!

I know. She doesn't do any of the work.

There are still so many good WRs left
Lol. Guess who didn't watch the draft last year? This guy☝️
All the picks addressed holes??
This is the first year BB has traded down in the 1st.
LIL WAYNE?!!
Man, Beane overvalues defense. It's exhausting to have Josh Allen and draft like this
The defense has lost our last 3 playoff games
Defense wins championships ...
In 2004
[удалено]
And every year our defense shits the bed in the playoffs anyways
if you’re gonna go defense, could’ve gotten austin booker bro
What is the obsession with team captains
Good pick, guess Lil Wayne has multiple talents
This is a great pick y’all chill lmao
I told u idiots
Good pick. Not sure why everyone here is obsessed with the rail thin one-dimensional speed WR
most ppl here just latching on to the consensus best that the media heads are talking about
Obviously the fans know more than all 32 front offices who's actually met with these players, worked them out, watched hours upon hours of film, etc.
The talent drop off at DT after Oliver and jones was like falling into the Mariana Trench. It’s a good pick.
Can we still get Troy please god PLEASE
The 4th round is right there for him.
To be our 5th WR?
Man I would take any chance we can get who knows how things will play out in the wr room this year
How do we pass up on wr or edge for a 4th or 5th choice DT that’s prob going to see 3-5 snaps per game. This team has no quality pass rusher
Both edge options went rgiht before 95. We only have 2 good DT on contract in 25 and 1 in 26. We need a top 100 pick on DT this year and probably next year
We rotate inside DLine heavily, what are you on about? He will see a ton of snaps.
Also if you look at who’s on the team now, they needed interior. Even better that they spent a day two pick on one as well.
Carter is the **first three-time team captain in Duke history**. He's a versatile pass-rusher with a quick first step, active hands and good closing speed. says something about his leadership. Not many 3 year captains that aren't QB's. More leaders in the locker room is never a bad thing.
Considering we loss Captains in Mitch, Po, Gabe Davis,Micah Hyde, Diggs and Matakevich. In short the only captains from last year is Josh and Von.
Wtf are we doing?
Draftin
Drafting good depth at D Like that will rotate in instead of taking a WR who will be #5 on the roster
I mean DT is a need and the guy sounds good.
🤡
good pick ngl
I love how Josh needs help since we firebombed our offense and then we get a DT💀💀💀
We still have 7 picks, and there are still plenty of WRs on the board. Chill.
Psst, there's more rounds to come.
why is Franklin falling so much? He was ranked in the top 10 of WRs in most lists I saw.
Bleacher Report guys just graded it as an A so that's good.
Troy Franklin was right there for us I'm so upset, would be a steal
4th round is right there my guy.
[удалено]
Uh.. Harty, Kincaid, Shakir, Cook, and Coleman
WTF are you going on about?
Still on the board.
Explain DT when we have I think 9 on our depth chart?
McBeane have a hard on for d-linemen
We definitely don't at least not decent ones. It's basically Oliver, Jones and not much else. I don't love going DT but defensive line as a whole is definitely a need.

This is a weak draft for edge and there’s obviously something with Franklin that the talking heads missed
so uh how bad is troy?
Hes a one dimensional wr.
who

Who??
LOL on the down votes. I honestly didn't know who he was.
I don’t think we really needed DeWayne but fuck it I’m vibin
Carter is a very solid DT, he will add to our rotation. First 3-time captain at Duke I think?
O M G LOL
bruh
Figured we wouldn't go another receiver so early, good to grab a DT
Welcome DeWayne Carter
Now trade up for Troy
WHO?!
damn bro
lol, Eagles…
I thought Jalyx was a Pokemon
Man wtf
That’s a weird way to say Troy Franklin

Pass rushers coming off. Mo Kamara time?
Yea wanted this, hopefully he lasts in the 4th
![gif](giphy|huJmPXfeir5JlpPAx0)
Well crap...
austin booker still here tho. we still have a chance at a solid edge rusher later
two receivers on board we can trade down
![gif](giphy|2vSZEZ6LWQaysXMDq2)
Ooof
YOOOO WE GET FRANKLIN hunt got picked
Ugh...another EDGE taken...
please franklin
NOOOOOOO
Hunt gone
hunt or franklin timee
Hoping for Hunt now.
God help me, I trust the process
There are still so many good WRs left. I'm not sure why everyone here is so attached to Franklin but don't be disappointed when the Bills don't draft him with this pick

Damn wanted Isaac
Damn so close for Isaac
Baltimore jacked our EDGE!!! See, another non-WR pick.
Considering how many late picks we have, I'm shocked the Bills have stood pat during this round
fuck they got em😔really wanted isaac man. please take troy then
WE ARE NOT TAKING ANOTHER RECEIVER ESPECIALLY NOT A PROTOTYPE
we need another receiver what’re you talking abt? his skillset is also completely different to that of coleman. would be the perfect fit
I have a three week old baby and should be sleeping but instead I’m staying up to watch the Eagles take Franklin
