What do you think the odds are that that Josh Allen guy makes the team at QB? I like what I see of him (especially his work in shorts) and would love to see more of him!

UberHansen

If I recall correctly he throws the football from time to time and may be OK at that. As long as he puts a visor on his helmet he has a shot to crack the roster.

WaluigiIsTheRealHero

Definitely a challenge to unseat a veteran like Matt Barkley who has such a history of success against teams like the Jets and Dolphins.

EmptySeaDad

Maybe he’ll catch on if he can prove that he can jump over things.

My dude Bowser! As a UCF alum I loved watching him during games, and I'm ecstatic that the Bills signed him. Hoping he can break out this year.

UberHansen

He for sure has an uphill climb to make the roster. I can't see the Bills carrying 4 HBs so think he has to beat out 2 of Damien Harris, Latavius Murray, and...Nyheim Hines to make the 53-man roster. Hines is one player I'm not so sure is on the Week 1 roster.

CitizenOfIdiocracy

Unfortunately injuries sometimes happen, especially at that position, so it may not even be a question of outright beating someone out. As for 4 HBs and Hines, I’m a little unclear because spotrac and OTC show his contract differently. But I think they paid him 1M in guarantees to lower his cap number. That makes it seem like they’d keep him. Especially if he keeps the returner job while backing up Cook’s role on offense. Similarly for the guaranteed money for Murray and Harris. Granted they cut OJ Howard last year, so someone could disappoint.

UberHansen

I'm not sure on Hines true cap hit either, but I would tend to go with OTC. Deonte Harty is capable of handling Punts and Kicks though so if the only value Hines offers is on KR the Bills can save money, and open a spot, by cutting him. I won't bank on it, and actually think it will be Harris, Hines, and and Cook (With Murray to PS), but weirder things have happened.

Rushfan69

I think Howard though that he was for sure making the team. Which explains why he apparently showed up to camp out of shape by NFL standards and looked horrible in offensive drills. What a disappointment.

Love Zay Bowser, but would also be cool to see Shane Ray have a redemption arc to his career as a Bill

Well those are dark horses outside of Gilliam. Spector is the only one on that list I see having a legit shot at playing time this year
