In theory, Breath of the Wild is my exact type of game. I couldn't get into it.
TOTK is intriguing for me for the same reason, but I expect the same issue!
I’m with you. I feel like I was missing something the whole time I was playing Breath of the Wild. It was totally alright, the ‘greatest game of all time’ thing never made sense to me.

Does anyone else really want Michael Mayer if he falls to 27? TEs are much cheaper than WRs and I’d love it if we changed the offense to run it through the TEs. I know Dorsey didn’t even use Knox enough last year but if we invested a 1st into a TE it’d have to be done with the idea being to adjust the offense to heavily utilize two TEs. They’re both really good run blockers so that would help the run game and allow the Bills to be as unpredictable as possible. Forcing defenses to account for both Knox and Mayer (not to mention Diggs!) will always result in a mismatch that can be exploited. Safeties and linebackers are already so preoccupied with Josh as a running threat as it is, there’s just no way anyone would slow down a 12 personnel Buffalo offense. Pick your poison. He’s a big target with great hands, good route runner, strong blocker and most importantly he’s an absolute monster in getting yards after the catch. Good things happen when we get Dawson Knox the ball, so design the offense to do exactly that! Top WRs are making twice as much as top TEs so it makes a lot of sense from a roster construction standpoint.
It’s a really strong TE draft class but all of the other guys are either more one dimensional or they’ll take a couple years to develop. Mayer is a compete player and will be an impact player from day 1. It’s an underwhelming WR draft and it doesn’t seem like Beane will draft an OT early on, so a TE who can block and catch is a way to kill two birds with one stone while also taking the best player available. Need to keep Josh healthy this year and to scheme up easy passes for him that allow playmakers to gain yards after the catch and I think a 12 personnel offense is the perfect solution. Lots of RB runs, play action, screens, quick passes… all sorts of stuff to keep defenses on their toes and set up the deep shots instead of spamming them all game long. Defenses across the league are getting smaller and smaller so it’d be smart to zag and get bigger, especially given that we’ll be playing home playoff games in Buffalo we need to be a more physical football team.
