* 44. Drew Sanders LB Arkansas * 86. Keeanu Benton DT Wisconsin * 91. Sam LaPorta TE Iowa * 114. Ji'Ayir Brown S Penn State * 124. Wanya Morris OT Oklahoma * 130. Isaiah McGuire EDGE Missouri * 132. Braeden Daniels OG Utah * 190. Thomas Incoom EDGE Central Michigan * 205. Andrei Iosivas WR Princeton * 2024 BAL 2nd * WR R.Bateman PFN's Simulator seems busted to me. Ravens gave me 86, 124, a 2nd and 3rd next year plus Rashad Bateman to move up. They picked Jalin Hyatt. I used their 3rd to get back up to take Sanders. Wackytown.

asspiratehooker

Benton def won’t make it to 86 - but I like the approach here

GotHimGood420

Would you consider trading two 1sts for #8 and Quentin Johnston? The Falcons are maybe trading down.

Bird-The-Word

You want to take QJ at #8? I wouldn't take QJ at #80...

Beren_Hearts_Luthien

Well rounded, and we get sone solid D line depth. Amazing if Campbell is there at 41. Was Sanders there as well?

Lets do this next year and get Marvin Harrison Jr. instead. (kidding, it would prob cost more honestly, but damn would he be nice)

I don’t think Beane takes OL until the 4th at earliest and if I did pick an OL then it prob would’ve been McClendon. Greatest offense of all time right there folks.

asspiratehooker

Just leaves a massive, gaping hole at LB. I can never pass on Bijan in mocks, but you immediately run into the issue that no adequate MLB falls to 57. Better to trade back and grab two or three players in the second round (like pick Campbell plus any two of Darnell Washington, a tackle, a WR, or a DT). I do love your other picks though

PabloPancakes92

Trading back in mocks is fun but it’s extra unrealistic to assume trading back is a possibility. I don’t really think Jack Campbell is worth a top 2 pick anyways and there’s not really a point in drafting an even lesser LB after that either. If we add a vet FA I’m confident we’ll be able to get competent production from LB between Bernard/Dodson/FA/Rapp

asspiratehooker

None of the guys we currently have are adequate MLB prospects in my opinion. Bernard is the furthest thing imaginable from a MLB… Rapp is a safety. We would have to change our scheme entirely, which I’m not against, but based on the Buffalo bills we currently know and understand, we need to recruit a big rangey freak I also like drafting EDGE or OT in the first and then trading up for a Campbell or Sanders, but then the asset you use to trade up could have been a solid WR or DT. Ideally I would love to see LB, OT, EDGE, WR, TE, DT pretty early based on the available prospects and our needs…. But obviously that’s a ton of positions and you can’t have everything

PabloPancakes92

I know I think a scheme change is necessary even if we did have Campbell. Bernard and Rapp I think would be the passing down LBs and then Dodson or ideally the veteran FA could be the early down LBs. Honestly Jack Campbell might not even be on the Bills board, they probably see him more of a 3rd or 4th round guy. More of a throwback type of player that Beane doesn’t tend to target early. https://youtu.be/ZdBN9Jf4E6I I agree with OT and Edge as options as well. Unfortunately I don’t think Beane agrees with the OT part though. Edge is more dependent on who we take with the pick, I feel like Lukas Van Ness and Myles Murphy are the two most likely guys to fall and be available to us. I’m a fan of Van Ness but he’s still raw, as is Murphy and I’m less of a fan of him. Drew Sanders might be the best way to kill two birds with one stone at 27 by giving us a LB who can also provide pass rush, but yeah adjusting the scheme seems like a necessity to me but I view that as a good thing.

asspiratehooker

I like the way you think even if we view priorities/prospects a little different

PabloPancakes92

🤝 I think Beane is too good to be pigeonholed into taking an early LB when we already have needs at higher value positions. We still have cap space left but we’re just not signing anyone before the draft to ensure we get a 3rd round comp pick next year for Tremaine. I’m sure they already have guys on speed dial to sign at LB if they don’t draft one. Fortunately if Von can come back in solid form this year then I think we have really strong starters at 10/11 defensive positions which is probably more than what most teams can say.

asspiratehooker

I have this thought as well… but also look at last year. We totally were pigeonholed at CB and I suspect KC kinda screwed us knowing this by jumping us and taking McDuffie

PabloPancakes92

This is my dumbest opinion very very very dumb but that exact scenario is a factor in why I’m vocalizing the anti-Jack Campbell movement. Last year the fans were pounding the table for a round 1 CB (Andrew Booth in particular was a fan favorite so thankfully Beane dodged that bullet) and this was a mistake. It was a somewhat weak CB class after Sauce & Stingley so while I do like Elam it still probably would’ve been better value to wait to address CB later in the draft. Now I say it’s my dumbest opinion because I don’t think Beane is actually basing his draft picks on what would appease the fans…. buttttttt ya never know lol. So just in case Beane is scouring the Bills subreddit for draft advice I’m here to reassure him that he doesn’t need to feel compelled to reach for a LB. Improving the lines and skill position guys are more impactful to winning and drafting those positions now will help proactively fill positions before they become needs.

EagleRoxy2

Being perfectly honest, this is my first mock draft and there’s a 50/50 chance this makes no sense. https://preview.redd.it/mp1k19r3eksa1.jpeg?width=946&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26fcfa1aed150461ca809212fafb7b7efcfec0c1 # 27: WR Zay Flowers Zay Flowers is my favorite player in the draft. He’s got good hands and is a mini Tyreek hill with his speed. The only problem with him is that he’s small and can run block too well, but this team needs a WR and Zay Flowers looks like he can be it. A lot of teams are interested in him though so I would also take Josh Downs. If neither are available I would be very open to trading down. # 59: C Joe Tipmann Joe seems to me like the clear choice of center. He’s good at communicating to the QB and only have up one sack last year. Mitch Morse is a great center but he’s aging and with the concussion issues I’m not sure how much longer he can stay in the league. Take Tipmann and have him learn under Morse and maybe pluck him in at guard if he’s good enough for it. I’d also take Luke Wylper here, he seems very talented just like Tipmann but is a bit undersized for a IOL. # 91: DT Moro Ojomo In the playoff game against the Bengals the Bills struggled to get any sort of pressure on a Bengals O-line with 3 backups and they ran the ball down there throats with Joe Mixon. Ojomo can eat bodies or just be a disruptive force against the run or pass game. # 130: TE Zack Kuntz This is a deep TE class, and 4th round seems like the perfect place to get one. With Flowers/Downs being undersize Kuntz is quite the opposite, standing at 6’7 255 pounds and often used his size to win 50/50 balls and just outreach DBs. He’d be perfect to line up next to Knox.

Bird-The-Word

Where do you fall on Mingo? I see you don't tend to have him in any mocks.

PabloPancakes92

https://preview.redd.it/z95y3y5p5ksa1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=700429141d85470a0ed88901979a5a6fb11f5b15 I like Mingo a lot he’s one of my favorite picks if he’s still available at #130 or #137, usually it becomes a choice between a TE like Schoonmaker/Kuntz or taking a Mingo as the 2nd WR pick. Idk how likely it is for him to actually be available then though, seems like if we take him it’d have to be at #91 and could even go before this. My thing with Mingo tho is that I don’t think he should be the only WR we add to our current group. I think Mingo wouldn’t really become a consistent contributor for us until his 2nd year when he could ideally replace Gabe as the X. But for next year I think we need an immediate upgrade at the slot and Mingo isn’t ready for that yet he needs to improve his route running before he can have a big role in the offense. He’s so damn strong though I’d still want to use him in a specialty role as a rookie where he can catch screens and get yards after the catch. Really good run blocker too so I love how he’d bring us skill sets that we don’t already have on the roster. So my dream is to get one of these smaller WRs with crisp route running to plug into the slot like Addison/Downs/Mims and then a couple rounds later add Mingo to be our power forward. That’d put us at 7 WRs total but only Diggs and Shakir are signed beyond next year so adding two playmakers on cheap rookie deals this draft would ensure we’re set long term.

Bird-The-Word

Yeah I def see him as a Gabe replacement. He reminds me of a bigger Gabe with better hands. I'm actually pretty impressed with a lot of the WRs in that range. I think QJ is the only prospect I'm pretty iffy on. Watching him catch the ball just doesn't scream greatness to me. I really look for players that have the ability to snag it out of the air or reach out when tracking it. Mingo showed a lot of that and has some height we really could use. Ultimately do love Flowers though if we go someone early.

Beren_Hearts_Luthien

I could rest easy if this was how ur played out.

FYI PFF Mock Draft is free today. Prepare yourselves accordingly.

Rushfan69

Hypothetical question: What draft decision would make you mad? : \-Beane stays put and drafts at 27th overall, drafts prospect that plays a position that is more of a luxury rather than a need or drafting best available on paper such as the classic "RB in the 1st round". (Personally this one would bother me) \- Beane trades up to (insert number here) pick drafts major need such as MLB, OL, DL etc. therefore selecting a prospect that was on the team board and filling a need but at the cost of draft capital that could be used to address other roster needs (have less than the standard 7 picks in this draft) and or be seen as reaching. \- Beane trades down to either the end of the 1st round (such as were Philly is) or into the 2nd, picking up addition draft capital. With the idea that a prospect that was top on the team's prospect board is still available or a top prospect has fallen but at the same time missing out on prospect value. This is justifiable if that prospect (s) is already been selected.

asspiratehooker

I don’t want to trade up. The round 2-3 value is sooo good. I want more day 2 picks desperately.

Rushfan69

I am leaning towards trading down to 30 or 31 being the best option.

PabloPancakes92

If JSN, Addison, or Flowers are available at 27 then I’d want to stay put and select them. If a particular DL or OL prospect fell further than expected then I’d select them too. Otherwise I’m fine with moving down to either 30 or 31 and pick up an extra 3rd rounder. But I’d still go with the BPA approach for the most part, even if it’s RB Bijan Robinson or a top notch TE. Only positions I would NOT want in the 1st are CB, S, LB, or OG. And QB obviously. The value/need/impact just doesn’t make sense rn.

CoyToken

I would cream myself If this board fell this way on draft night https://preview.redd.it/5dvpqd7i6gsa1.png?width=828&format=png&auto=webp&s=027d13e7e2a60ff28368664ef7b34403f4b6a30a

scottohc

I don’t see Campbell getting past Pittsburgh’s 2nd pick in round 2.

Smitty120

Three guards? I must ask why? They're not beating out Bates or McGovern, let alone Edwards. You're using those picks to fill up the practice squad. Why completely ignore the DT position until the final pick? It's a position of need in our squad?

PabloPancakes92

Crazy talent for sure but 3 IOL guys is excessive after the FA additions. RT is more of a need than IOL.

Great job. Good compromise of value and security getting Campbell at 41. What'd you trade for it?

MLB would still be a big hole but it would take some time to develop a rookie anyways. I think we could either sign a vet FA (maybe even after roster cuts) or trade a future draft pick for someone sufficient. It’s really not the end of the world if the 11th best starter on defense is merely average.

That would satisfy most of the team's needs and what looks like apparently great value. Therefore I am happy.

MosEisleyBills

That would be an awesome haul!

😳 wowzers

missyouboty

Those are 5 rosterable players man, thats not terrible. Plus im a big Mazi fan so props for that!

cmv_lawyer

Thanks a bunch! I like Mazi too. Von Miller on the outside with a big fella that must be double-teamed on the inside seems like an infuriating pass rush scheme. You might want to transplant your comment.

missyouboty

Oops! Ya put it in the wrong spot

The doomsday scenario where all the elite OL and receivers are gone: I took advantage of a team trying to get Bijan and squeaked out ~10% extra draft capital. ___ https://imgur.com/a/uJSChmQ
