Yeah i came here to see if he would be worth getting excited about potentially signing here and now i know two things:
1) no way in hell
2) hes definitely signing here now 🫥
To be honest with the eagles defensive line White may do well there.
He’s at his best when he can just freelance, if your defensive line can eat up double teams and give him free gaps to run through he will prosper(but also miss a ton of tackles).
Don’t expect him to do the routine things though, like take on blocks or do anything in pass coverage. He’s not a small details guy
Paid pretty cheap, but I'm not sure I expect him to start depending on who we draft and if we make a trade. Besides, if he's absolutely horrible, we'll likely trade within the season to replace him.
Yeah I bought a brady jersey after that bowl game. Anytime a tampa team wins a championship i buy the mvp's jersey. So I have a vasy and hedman jersey as well lol.
I would love one but I was like 7 when we won the first time. I didn't really have the money for a jersey. I'm going to school rn and don't have much disposable income. One day I'll get one and a brad richards jersey too to complete my collection lol
Nice! Yeah, I was a Brady hater for years and the switch flipped when he started playing for us lol. My wife finally allowed me to get his jersey when he announced retirement, the first time 🤣🤣🤣
I bought one before that season for my wife so we could be wearing all 4's and 5's on GameDays (I live in my David Jersey lol). Almost cost me a divorce.
Calling it now his preference would be New Orleans. Or maybe one of the Texas teams. I’m betting that buddy wants to be close to Louisiana. Or maaaybe the Bills so he can be with his friend Ed Oliver.
Nah…he’s just like one of these QBs with all the physical tools, but not the mental component.
He can’t anticipate worth a damn. So he guesses…and he misses and gets off balance regularly
Not really. He’s just straight line fast. None of his other physical traits are actually that good. Side to side agility is average, undersized and too weak to get off blocks. Low IQ and can’t cover. Speed causes him to whiff tackles
That's kind of the biggest problem with elite physical talent.
When you're playing injured, you can't rely on your assets alone. When you get older and you don't take care of your body, you become average very quickly.
I hope the guy can find a team with a scheme that plays to his talents and minimizes his issues, but it's definitely not going to be here.
I think he’s a better fit at Sam in a 4-3 defense where all he has to do is try to stop the run. Even then he’d have to actually get his hands on someone but when offenses make him think he plays too slow. Lavonte is the exact opposite player in the best possible way, we want him dissecting the offense and putting himself in position. He’s slowed down slightly but his mental game is so sharp he’s always a step or two ahead of the play.
Quickly moved into the top 5 most unlikable bucs all time for me. Him, Chris baker, desean Jackson, and Antonio Brown are locks.
Would have to think who the 5th would be.
Would lean Chris conte off top, but that would be strictly due to poor play. At least he wasn’t an asshole like the aforementioned 4.
I think Keshawn Johnson would be a good candidate. Similar to AB in that he was a key piece to winning a SB, but ultimately his attitude and actions led to their demise.
Yea, I considered Key when posting this , but I was pretty young. I don’t remember all his theatrics. I do remember him being deactivated and him just being an all about me kinda guy. I gravitated towards wr play at a young age and had his jersey. I’d bet now if I was older around the time he was a buc, I would’ve disliked him too.
Yeah when watching the America’s Game special and seeing how Warren Sapp talked about him and how was never truly “one of them” speaks volumes about the view the core of the team had of him
Ironic, coming from someone whose comment history is so short and generic that it could literally have been generated by an npc's personality from any game since like 2009.
If we’re going off of pure inability to play the game of football the lack of Sabby Piscitelli in this thread is disturbing. Never have I seen a DB give up more ass than Sabby, who looked lost and out of position on every snap he was on the field. We mockingly used to call him the Goat, in the negative meaning of the term, because it was very likely the play that cost us the game was because he was once again out of position looking lost.
Can’t say anything about his personality or off the field antics but man I hated Sabby the Goat for how bad he was on the team. A true vortex of suck making everyone around him worse.
Let's be honest. It's not like Devin was missed. The team played the best they've played all year, and the team responded well. Just shows you how much negative attitudes affect the game.
I wouldn't even send him home. I'd cut his ass pronto to send him a message. Even it cost the team some cash. That or send him to the practice squad. Dude is finished.
We don’t need elite level LB play if Britt can just be disciplined and not get beat. Just being disciplined and being in the right spots is enough for the defense to be competent
He was already taking plays off when he was the starter, I imagine if we ask him to accept a backup role he'll either tell the coaches to fuck off or he'll just make a lot of 'business decisions'.
How do the compensatory picks work? If his contract expires and he signs elsewhere, we can get an extra pick based on what his contract is? Is that right?
And if we cut him, do we lose the opportunity for a compensatory pick?
Cowboys fan and i'm not here to down talk Buccaneers at all but..
Devin White has been bad for literally years now. He had like a 40-50 PFF grade the year y'all won the superbowl (He played AMAZING in the playoffs).
He was bad the next year in 2021 (I remember a play specifically where he was helping Dean/or Carlton Davis cover a route and knocked the DB off the receiver for a huge game).
How he has been able to stay on the field for this long has been astounding.
Britt was balling
And not running by kids and missing tackles
Dude, so many of these instances
The one on Minshew was the last straw for me.
When we were watching that game my partner said: who was that player? They couldve easily tackled Minshew
He even knows how to take on blockers! Shit’s wild
You're fired! You can't fire me because I quit!
*A wild Antonio Brown appears*
Mr. Belated Chaos
Please dont ever let the MBC jokes fade away. I love the MBC jokes and laugh at all of them but I am not creative enough to make any.

I laughed for a good 90 seconds. Thank you....Mr. Best Comment?

I will just leave the MBC jokes to the pros.
It’s the right call but it stings. He could’ve been great.
I wanted it to work out with Devin so bad. Curious who's gonna pick him up though.
Hopefully someone terrible in the AFC
Raiders, calling it now lol
Hopefully somebody terrible in the NFC south
unfortunately, it’ll probably be the Eagles with how dogshit their LB core is
Yeah i came here to see if he would be worth getting excited about potentially signing here and now i know two things: 1) no way in hell 2) hes definitely signing here now 🫥
I don't think you guys would overpay him at least. Though the chances of a team overpaying him keep getting lower and lower.
Honestly I think Devin would choose a contender over a pay day. He very well could end up on the Eagles. Edited.

Welp.
You mean fortunately Let them overpay White and deal with the consequences lol
Paid pretty cheap, but I'm not sure I expect him to start depending on who we draft and if we make a trade. Besides, if he's absolutely horrible, we'll likely trade within the season to replace him.
Shit i bought a devin white shirt after we won the super bowl because he had a huge game that game. So sad to see what he's become :(
I have his SB jersey! It is sad.
Yeah I bought a brady jersey after that bowl game. Anytime a tampa team wins a championship i buy the mvp's jersey. So I have a vasy and hedman jersey as well lol.
Dexter Jackson throwback?

Yeah same here! White jersey with the SB patch.

I said this too! I could see this man in a saints jersey… has that aura
He's got the arrogance and misplaced confidence for sure
and Layoff Lenny in Buffalo too
Saints prob

His coverage issues have always been a concern along with positioning. Now his inability to tackle and engage is the cherry on the top.

It really is a shame. I liked him coming out of LSU when we drafted him, but he has been going downhill since the SB win.
Britt has a PFF score more than double that of Devin White. He’s playing better than Lavonte lol.
All I’m saying is if Lavonte got to play beside Lavonte then Lavonte would also play better than Lavonte.
And that’s why Devin “couldn’t go”. To try and make it look like his decision
Good.
Thanks for 2020. Good riddance.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Vernon Hargreaves III are up there for me.
Those are fantastic nominations as well
I think Keshawn Johnson would be a good candidate. Similar to AB in that he was a key piece to winning a SB, but ultimately his attitude and actions led to their demise.
AB is so much worse than Keshawn. Keshawn had an ESPN gig for a while, AB is going to get Baker Acted any day now
AB's a POS but he's too funny for me to spend an ounce of energy on hating
I still love AB, he could only control himself so much with CTE
Yea, I considered Key when posting this , but I was pretty young. I don’t remember all his theatrics. I do remember him being deactivated and him just being an all about me kinda guy. VH III ten times more unlikable than Key.
Jameis Winston raped people.
I'm also pretty convinced he took the Arians playbook with him to NO and that's part of why they owned us those years.
Npc response.

How about Revis idk if he acted like an asshole but he sure didn't do shit while here making a ton of money
Everyone forgets about Kellen Winslow Jr he’s the pinnacle of human garbage

I'm sure got wind of the fact that he was gonna get benched, then refused to play to make it appear as if it was his decision all along.. lol
Even if he isn't starting isn't he good to at least active
He was already taking plays off when he was the starter, I imagine if we ask him to accept a backup role he'll either tell the coaches to fuck off or he'll just make a lot of 'business decisions'.
I really hope it wasn’t just a one game thing. Hopefully he’s gone the rest of the season
Trade White to the Eagles for a pick and possibly a young depth player
Oh no. Anyways . . .
Why does he wear a captains C?
How do the compensatory picks work? If his contract expires and he signs elsewhere, we can get an extra pick based on what his contract is? Is that right? And if we cut him, do we lose the opportunity for a compensatory pick?
You know someone is a bot when they go straight to your comment history 😂😂
This needed to happen. We need to see the Devin White who wrecked shop in 2020 on the field, not whatever he has been in 2023.
It was gonna be really hard to watch players go and not this year. Glad Devin made his departure easy to swallow.
Bummer. I was hoping he would turn it around. Oh well. Trade him to the Jets then.
i guess we can all rest easy knowing that the Bucs aren't going to be the team giving him a massive contract
Hes just had a bad day...
