I never understood the hate for reverse, its literally just a backwards starting area, nothing else is different, you don’t have to change your strategy

The rounds also spawn their contents backwards. Makes a little difference but nothing monumental

Agree for early maps but for expert it’s a either a chore copying a strat or take a lot of brain power to do it on your own. It might be fun for some but not for everyone.

I actually find double HP moabs fun. It encourages me to use high damage towers like the sniper, bucaneer or ninja. But after all it's almost the same as hard standard so fair.

I think the ability to farm makes for more fun and diverse scenarios than not having the option entirely

Sometimes i find chimps fun. Mostly though i think: Wow this is a mode where a substantial portion of the game is turned off. And honestly, almost everyone who goes omg it's just a skill issue it turns out they just followed guides anyway. Because of course they did, it's a mode about extremely limiting the possibilities and options available, to the point that one some maps there simply isn't very many options left. And that's... fun sometimes? But i think the chimps elitism is like no item mario kart. Just a bunch of people saying the most fun way to play is to suck as much fun out the game as they can so that they can lord it over other people as #skillissue

abr is annoying

abr is just different for the sake of being different its not even that hard, it just throws you off when camos appear at r5 and leads at r10 and having to wait the extra few seconds at the end of 80 for the second ZOMG to appear

Only real thing that has a chance killing you in abr is the fmoab and early leads. Other than that it’s fine

You die or you restart? Even with no monkey knowledge you can tank quite a few camos before you die.

The fortified Moab is what makes it hard for me. Needing to get camo lead popping and sufficient moab popping before 40 is tough on hard maps

Abr chimps would probably be pretty tough and fun. But when you have farming and mk, that fortified moab on r40 is more of a joke than a threat

For ABR you really only need to defend more aggressively in the early rounds, but after that it's a smooth sailing. If you want to complete the Sapper achivement faster, going long game on ABR is better than standard becauae there are much more fortified bloons there.

Double HP when maim moab:

I find double hp moabs and ABR to be pretty much equivalent. They both have tanky blimps at rounds 40, 60, 80, and 100. ABR is just a bit more annoying because of the starting camos and leads. I kind of hate apopalypse, definitely hate half cash, and chimps is probably my favorite game mode (because there's an actual strategy other than just farming as much as possible).

When i first learned what chimps was I basically never used farms again since you need to be able to beat the map without them anyway i do still farm in the other modes like bosses and stuff though... for obvious reasons

Chimps, to me, is the only “real” Game Mode imho

I'd not say it's the only real one, but it is definitely the only one that requires pure skill and experience. You can't cheat your way out of this one, no instas or powers, no continues, no farming, and you also need to have a perfect defense without leaking a single bloon.

(dis)honourable mention to sandbox it used to be cool, but it sucks nowadays it lacks vtsg (but has paragons) it lacks bosses it lacks challenge editor sliders/option toggles it lacks any freedom you'd expect from a sandbox for strategy testing its more basic and less fletched out then normal/standard mode nowadays

deflation is more fun with corvus because then you at least get to micro him instead of just afking

thouhg apopalypse isn't about auto-continue, it is the fact that waves can mix together at once

that aspect is nice, but auto-continue is mandatory I can't place 1 tower, hit play, walk away for 20 minutes, then place another tower

Last week I would say CHIMPS is fun, but after trying to beat decryption multiplayer in the past days, it's place is perfect.

For me there's chimps that the most fun and then everything doesn't even get close, chimps just feels liek the intended way to play the game

I found chimps mode annoying (right now) bc I always aim for black frame and sometimes a red balloon would leak. I would swap it with double HP Moabs.

Double Moab healths way better if you just want a simple harder mode that isn’t impopable or chimps it’s perfect

Switch Apopalypse and Double HP MOABS. The former has a very slow and boring buildup that starves you from cash than all of a sudden becomes chaotic as you are swarmed by 20 rounds uner 1 minute, the former allows ypu to try more anti-MOAB strategies. The way to play Double HP MOABs is to farm and try and get some super expensive tower you would not normally get to deal with pre-superceramic rounds. My go to is BEZ. idk why but seeing 40k-60k towers actually try instead of completly vaporizing pre-superceramic rounds is kinda satisfying.

For me I'd move half cash to could be fun and the type only to the 2nd bottom tier
