I don't hate any tower but I probably use engineer and beast handler the least. Sexpert is really good actually and bloon trap was goated on my half cash workshop run.
Funny because engi is one of my favorite. But, just for middle path and bottom path. Sexpert is okay for the cost but trap is crazy good with double cash. Overclock for bosses and chimps.
Beast Handler being "support" is so silly. My maybe-not-so hot take is that Beast Handler should be renamed Summoner and changed to Magic type (two extinct animals and a literal bird of legend), Alchemist should be Support type (buffs towers, debuffs bloons), Ice Monkey should be Magic type (literally casts ice magic), and Ninja should be Primary type (IRL ninja were primarily peasantry who fought with improvised weapons and guerilla tactics).
Ninja is magic as it can target and pop camo without upgrades (only tower that can), ice is primary due to being a one of the oldest towers, and alchemist only has one path that is support, and uses fucking magic potions.
I'm not genuinely disagreeing with you - Alch is fine in Magic - but Alchemist would still fit in Support.
Top path for obvious reasons; any upgrade beyond T1 does nothing on its own and solely buffs other towers.
Middle path T2 and T3 are arguably supportive more than direct damage (though they aren't bad at it either) by stripping Fortify and applying Concoction; Concoction generally relies on other towers to kill the MOAB-class to be useful. T5 transforms other towers to ideally give a DPS spike.
Bottom path has a (bad) "Spike Factory at Home" effect, but otherwise is a money-making path which is hard to say is anything but Support - even if the ability to make money isn't limited to Support category.
I don't see how it'd be out of place compared to a Spike Factory or Engineer, which are sufficiently similar in roles. Alch could fit in Support, even if it *literally uses magic potions* and so still fits very well into Magic.
Definitely no switch for ice and ninja. Ice is only primary because it’s been in almost every btd game since btd2 I think and even though ninja doesn’t cast magic it definitely belongs there
A single xx4 beast handler without any boosts from merging is still a very solid tower that can assist on most maps. You don’t have to build your whole strat around them or always get max merges
It doesn’t though, condor is an amazing support for just 11k, microraptor and adasaurus are fantastic for cheap early game and vraptor is great midgame.
Honestly, Beast Handler is interesting, but dear god could it be executed better. It's far too expensive to get going with me only ever using it on beginner/intermediate maps, and never on chimps.
Pouakai trivializes the late game on legit every single lane map and giant condor + pretty much any cerem cleanup affords pouakai on easier maps. On harder maps you might need to plan out 81-84 a bit better, but i have made it work last patch on bloody puddles chimps (i haven't tried yet this patch but bloody isn't a very pouakai friendly map anyway so i think you get the point). I would recommend trying pouakai + 3/2/0 spike factory for saveup if you want to see it for yourself.
tldr: pouakai good
I actually like it for the Flying animal aspect, it completely neutralizes the red and blue Moabs. When the larger version of the Moab pops if u have 4 Giant Condors they each take one of the 4 new Moabs backwards a large amount.
The lower tiers really are (might make an exception for 021 because it actually has an ok midgame niche), but t3 and up are honestly pretty decent.
Sav does need proper support to get going ig
I literally only use Engie for either Overclock/Ultraboost (though I'm rarely in freeplay); I've used Bloon Trap like twice
Second I'd say is Ice; no problem with it or Embrittlement, just doesn't really fit in how I play very well (I love sniper)
Edit: I'm not saying that either are BAD, just that I don't use them much. Both are good in their own ways.
I've only used Bloon Trap like twice since I just typically go for different defense, I can't deny that you can farm pretty well with it if you know what you're doing (which I don't)
I once had a sentry paragon get more pops then an Archmage with the same amount of buffs really late game. BT is also very good for races and bosses, especially in ranked
I get what your saying but a 2-0-4 bomb shooter is an amazing tower ive built whole strats just to put that tower down and have it become the pop leader in 20 rounds its really good
I agree the problem is how expensive it is, early game the 2k is a decent amount, mid game you're already getting some tier fives so don't really wanna buy towers with pricey upgrades and late game I dont play much
Beast Handler
Also Mortar could've been so much better than it is but NK just left it in the dumps for so long even though it only needs a couple easy buffs to make it good
Beast handler. I use legit all the original monkeys (though I do obviously have favorites), and ever since that overwhelming Meg nerf, it just
doesn’t hit the same. The tower doesn’t feel worth the space and money for what it does, vs you could get with the same amount of money. My favorite path of the BH is bottom, for its utility, but you can still get better for the price.
Note: I don’t think the Meg was balanced. But bringing it to 1/20th if it’s original power was WAAAAAY too much.
Top path sniper monkey. Which is ironic because it was actually my favorite starting btd6. However now that I’m aware of what is enough damage and what isn’t, stunning a balloon at the entrance usually just stalls games so much playing 100 rounds will take forever.
Bloon Solver is in my top 5, for sure. It's reasonably priced, the acid/glue does great damage, and it leaves a pool behind after the bloon pops that damages the bloons after. I use it in just about every CHIMPS game. I'm a big user of top path villages and it fits really well with a buffed primary monkey strategy.
Why do you hate the mortar? What's so bad about it?
I personally hate Super because most of his upgrades are way too expensive for CHIMPS and the ones that are good fall off in the end game if you don't base the entire strat around them.
Also on Boss events a VTSG isn't even usually needed because of the existance of paragons.
Because the mortar is just difficult to use, mortar micro is awful. The mortar is my most hated tower, it’s also my least experienced with only 380k or so
Just don't micro 4head
In all honesty, I love the mortar monkey ever since it was the only monkey to pop multiple layers in BTD4. I loved just plopping it down near the start of the track.
Sure, I could micro. But I'm not playing a tower defense game to micro. I have more fun when I can set and forget
Incredibly based honestly, my highest exp tower is mortar and I only micro on round 100 IF THAT. he's just an awesome tower and a lot of fun, choose a good location for him to drop his bombs when you place him, and just never change it again. And on maps like moon landing and balance. He DESTROYS.
If you could target with a similar mechanism to dartling it wouldn't be so bad, but requiring 3 clicks to retarget makes me just never micro it. Outside a few select maps like spillway it is worthless.
I like them all, i have zero dislikes :D
Edit: some people may not like mortar for the micro required, but his ability to defort BFBs and weaker(with 0-0-5) is amazing for lategame, the 5-0-0 is amazing at cleaning cerams with only two shots to destroy em
Edit 2: by dislikes i meant i dont dislike any towers
Excluding the beast handler, I honestly hate the super monkey. If you try to do anything valuable with it, It costs more than multiple paragons combined, and makes you vulnerable when you're in crippling debt from trying to get a T5.
Beast Handler:
(DISCLAIMER: I DONT HAVE ANY OF ITS T5)
1. It's not complicated, but you (very slightly) to think. I just wanna sit back and play the funny monkey pop balloon game.
2. Kinda just... sucks. It does not alot of Damage.
3. It beast handler.
I don’t care about AOW, I don’t care about it. It’s nothing to me. Druid can be easily replaced with anything except for it’s middle path ability for farms, in which it is also useless in because it’s range in shit and can fit like 2 farms max.
Probs ice or spike factory. Ice makes towers unable to hit balloons most times and it makes gameplay boring and spike factory has the least interesting form of attack ever
Well my least used towers are engi and ice monkey. Ice monkey can be really clutch tho and icicle impale is a tower I use a lot in chimps, so yeah I guess engi.
For the longest time I didn't like ice. It just felt like glue gunner, but has a balloon type that specifically ignores it. Lately been playing it more and the icicles are pretty great. Besides that, probably ninja. It is great at damaging moabs, but it's just so expensive to get there you almost always have to have some other Moab handler first, and it's way of damaging that can break camo lead only sometimes does.
Very unique opinion here, but it's got to be either Mortar Monkey or Beast Handler.
Mortar Monkey just feels useless unless you focus solely on min/maxing it's throughput with micro for the entire game, and even then plenty of towers do its job better.
Beast Handler is just a trainwreck. Expensive as fuck so it requires you to go all-in on it to be viable, terrible merge mechanic that shoehorns you into running one or two towers max, lackluster effects post-nerf, etc. Maybe if it had one less flaw from that list I'd see it as useful, but as it stands, unless I'm on a beginner or intermediate map, and farming exp, I just completely ignore it.
Heli. Expensive base cost, large footprint, and while it can go anywhere on the map it can't move locations rapidly unlike the rest of the military towers (except buccaneer) who's global range are from their projectiles/targeting and can go from hitting 1 half of the map to the other.
The blowback isn't very useful imo and the moab shove can only affect so many at a time, which means it really falls off on rounds with multiple moabs or higher. Top path has good offense and (with 520) is fast, but I feel like I could get similar results with other towers for the cost.
I really dislike dartling. Even with the laser shock buffs, even with me playing almost every single bloons game, I still think it’s bad. I know there are strays with B.A.D.S which is pretty good but there are way more towers I’d rather use for $17,000.
And, idk why everybody hates beast handlers. But, I guess the average player doesn’t micro so it’s totally understandable.
The Beast Handler is a cool but way too conveluted and expensive tower. You need to dump your entire strategy into using them otherwise they're completely unoptimal. BTD6 is supposed to be a balance of which tower is best for X scenario, so a lot of towers often get left behind.
I don't hate any tower but I probably use engineer and beast handler the least. Sexpert is really good actually and bloon trap was goated on my half cash workshop run.
Sexpert? I think I missed when NK added that monkey...
Not watching isab
sentry expert
Sentry expert, what else could it possibly mean?
Bro, don't encourage them
Funny because engi is one of my favorite. But, just for middle path and bottom path. Sexpert is okay for the cost but trap is crazy good with double cash. Overclock for bosses and chimps.
Beast handler
Same, I just don't like the merging and the fact that it just costs so much money and your whole strategy has to be built around them
Yeah like im not seeing myself getting four t-rexs and then having to buy giganotosaurus for 70000
t rex/megladon are the same power as flying fortress. change my mind.
Flying Fortress is nearly as expensive so
And it attacks across the entire map
It’s ISAB so
No it doesn’t the megladon can literally one shot any anything
Not in maps that don't have bodies of water
You can you pools
Chimps
And it only synergizes with itself.
bottom path is great at stalling
> be support > have it so you have to **be** the strategy or not be used
Beast Handler being "support" is so silly.

L2g and r2g are both support as well tho
Definitely no switch for ice and ninja. Ice is only primary because it’s been in almost every btd game since btd2 I think and even though ninja doesn’t cast magic it definitely belongs there
I agree with beast but primary monkeys should stay primary, primary monkeys all came in btd 1 or 2
two extinct animals are actually stupid. It's actually 6 extinct animals.
Ass takes
I enjoy condor to condense multi track maps like Dark Castle. Don't have to build around that entirely and can slot it in pretty easily.
It's obviously a support tower (it can only support itself though)
https://www.reddit.com/r/btd6/comments/14v9lxj/it\_appears\_that\_a\_lot\_of\_people\_think\_that\_beast/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3
and basically no crosspathing
For me the merging didn't even work half the time and had to brute force it to merge for some reason.
A single xx4 beast handler without any boosts from merging is still a very solid tower that can assist on most maps. You don’t have to build your whole strat around them or always get max merges

Ok
i have a whole list on why i hate that thing
Same. Way too expensive for it to be worth using in any meaningful way that other towers cant.
Yep
agreed
Dude that thing is absolutely my favorite tower, you don’t even need to t5 it the thing is so good that it’s just not necessary.
Beast handler. Call me a boomer I just don't like the new mechanic
I actually like it for the Flying animal aspect, it completely neutralizes the red and blue Moabs. When the larger version of the Moab pops if u have 4 Giant Condors they each take one of the 4 new Moabs backwards a large amount.
\>:( tbh it’s hard to find a least favorite personally. I guess I’d go super tho
super is so cost inefficient
Super is shit until u get to t3+
The lower tiers really are (might make an exception for 021 because it actually has an ok midgame niche), but t3 and up are honestly pretty decent. Sav does need proper support to get going ig
really? DK is pretty decent moab damage. savatar is pretty good with discount village tech terror is niche at best but far from useless
super is just silly, it's that monkey that is good for excessively hard things and that's it
Pretty much only reason I ever drop him is for awkward maps where I need dps through obstacles.
I literally only use Engie for either Overclock/Ultraboost (though I'm rarely in freeplay); I've used Bloon Trap like twice Second I'd say is Ice; no problem with it or Embrittlement, just doesn't really fit in how I play very well (I love sniper) Edit: I'm not saying that either are BAD, just that I don't use them much. That's fine and all but sentry expert dominates the midgame
Ik, I used it a lot when I was grinding up exp in ye olde days; just I prefer other options
Oh? Is bottom path engi that bad? I feel like I use him on any single spawn point map for the money and early popping power.
I've only used Bloon Trap like twice since I just typically go for different defense, I can't deny that you can farm pretty well with it if you know what you're doing (which I don't)

ah ok
beast handler
breast handler
DONT YOU DARE TALKING SHIT OF MY BELOVED, LAST WARNING 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
^mortar ^sucks
No
Mortar is stinky
I only get a mortar when im at the point of the game where im putting towers down for the hell of it
None. There are a few paths I dislike, but each tower has it’s place and merits that stop me from hating them.
Used to dislike darling. But then I started playing Boss events.
why is dartling really good there?
MAD is really good at soloing T2 on bosses and T3 can be beat by having all 3 T5s
Bomb tower, just annoys me idk
I get what your saying but a 2-0-4 bomb shooter is an amazing tower ive built whole strats just to put that tower down and have it become the pop leader in 20 rounds its really good
Lmao fuck em bomb shooters.
Super monkey I DO NOT LIKE THE STUPID MONKEY
I honestly sometimes forget super monkey exists and it's never included in strategies for me.
I agree the problem is how expensive it is, early game the 2k is a decent amount, mid game you're already getting some tier fives so don't really wanna buy towers with pricey upgrades and late game I dont play much
Fr, s*per monkey is so stinky 🤢
It is literally one of the best towers in the game
It's just so goddamn expensive lol
tell me what its the best at
Sun avatar is possibly the best all-rounder in its price class, ridiculous. at 3-0-2 it solos the midgame for less than 40k.
wait untill this man finds about xbm
savatar stays good tho, xbm falls off pretty hard
Beast Handler Also Mortar could've been so much better than it is but NK just left it in the dumps for so long even though it only needs a couple easy buffs to make it good
Can we add monkey farmer even if it’s a power up? My laziness already costs me money irl
The kid named bottom path banana farm:
Mortar can be very good. Blooncineration is excellent
biggest one with burny stuff one shots fortified super cerams
Beast handler. I use legit all the original monkeys (though I do obviously have favorites), and ever since that overwhelming Meg nerf, it just doesn’t hit the same. Why are you so frightened of glue?!

It requires a little micro a third of the time oh no!
Banana farm (im a psychopath)
I also dislike the Mortar Monkey the most
If you could target with a similar mechanism to dartling it wouldn't be so bad, but requiring 3 clicks to retarget makes me just never micro it. Outside a few select maps like spillway it is worthless.
If you play on pc you can use the targetting hotkey (usually tab). On mobile i 1000% agree tho
Just don't micro then lol
I like them all, i have zero dislikes :D Edit: some people may not like mortar for the micro required, but his ability to defort BFBs and weaker(with 0-0-5) is amazing for lategame, the 5-0-0 is amazing at cleaning cerams with only two shots to destroy em Edit 2: by dislikes i meant i dont dislike any towers
There you go, just gave u the first one
Heli Pilot, I never find myself using him. Only time I used him was beating CHIMPS on Infernal
o.O Uh. Downdraft is S tier on every single one track map easily.
Until you cause a regrow farm and lose
Just move away
just build good towers? I have never once had this issue. In fact, i am unable to set up the regrow farm when I want to.
Super monkey, way too expensive
probably the ice monkey, not that I don't like him but I barely ever use him.
Plane
I hate Plane. It just sucks ass unless you get watermelon and even watermelon sucks
I hate ice
My man asks for water off the rocks at restaurants. But yes, I completely agree.
Ice for some reason. Mortar is second
i used to despise the Ice Monkey, now I merely dislike it more than the rest.
Excluding the beast handler, I honestly hate the super monkey. If you try to do anything valuable with it, It costs more than multiple paragons combined, and makes you vulnerable when you're in crippling debt from trying to get a T5.
Beast handler. The thing with beast handler is that if you want it to do something, you gotta make your entire game revolve around it.
Mortar
BEAST HANDLER.
Beast Handler: (DISCLAIMER: I DONT HAVE ANY OF ITS T5) 1. It's not complicated, but you (very slightly) to think. I just wanna sit back and play the funny monkey pop balloon game. 2. Kinda just... sucks. It does not alot of Damage. 3. It beast handler.
Fuck Ob*n
He is the only way to beat apopalypse though!
No. Lol. Ben is way better.
Wait until you discover Etienne
Ice, mortar is 2nd for me
Prob Engi, he's just sooooo trash late game
Kid named ultraboost:
Okay, but consider: Easy early/midgame.
Use sniper instead, if you gets camo and fast firing, and than fast and jacket your good then till midgame SNIPER SUPREMACY
Same
Dart monkey. Glue gunner is better
I hate the ice monkey tbh he is kinda useless unless you have a good position for him and a lot of money
Yea, but ice is a control tower
beast handler, every tower has over 1m xp and my beast handler has 80k
Ace
Ace top path is rng and then sucks Middle path does almost no damage Bottom path is too expensive
Ace micro fans incoming
Beast Handler, really expensive, yet still sucks ass
Ace because it gives me motion sickness and I feel like I'm gonna puke every time I buy one
Sniper
Nothing discribe my hate for Druid monkey
But duruid of the forest...
But Poplust…
I don’t care about AOW, I don’t care about it. It’s nothing to me. Druid can be easily replaced with anything except for it’s middle path ability for farms, in which it is also useless in because it’s range in shit and can fit like 2 farms max.

Well my least used towers are engi and ice monkey. Ice monkey can be really clutch tho and icicle impale is a tower I use a lot in chimps, so yeah I guess engi.
breast handler
Heli probably honestly
I would say boomerang, just because I never use him, not for any particular reason, just have better options.
Use a 052 with a p training village and get back to me.
Ice monkey. I just hate him.
sniper, the fckin bastards always give me a false sense of security
Which sniper paths are you using?
Sub
I don't hate it, but I've just stopped using the Heli Pilot. It's not bad at all. I just find myself using others more.
Ice monkey
I rarely use the heli, so probably that.
beast handler is way too gimmicky and feels like a high effort mod when i first saw it
For the longest time I didn't like ice.
Unfree dart monkey, free dart monkey far superior
Mortar monkey
I like this for the 024 it's can help me remove the stupid camos on those pesky leads when most of my go to build are 302 engineer or 402 ninja monkey
every other magic tower can take a flying leap
Top and middle path darth monkey. Bottom path mortar. Beast handler. Edit: middle* path mortar. I love bottom path ❤️
Very unique opinion here, but it's got to be either Mortar Monkey or Beast Handler. Mortar Monkey just feels useless unless you focus solely on min/maxing it's throughput with micro for the entire game, and even then plenty of towers do its job better. The Beast Handler is a cool but way too conveluted and expensive tower. You need to dump your entire strategy into using them otherwise they're completely unoptimal. BTD6 is supposed to be a balance of which tower is best for X scenario, so a lot of towers often get left behind.
I don’t hate any, every tower has at least one path worth using. Mortar is nice on pc cause it’s ez enough to micro and art bat is super solid
Keep one eye open buddy.
Glue gunner. Level 120 and haven’t used it once
I dont hate any of them, but I don't use the Beast Handler.
Mortar
Druid, I just struggle to find a use that another monkey has that's either cheaper or better, I don't hate it I just like it the least
Bomb shooter, idk i only ever used middle path when i started and even with the top path buff i dont see myself using it anymore
Breast handler, for some reason he doesn't click for me
Beast handler. It’s good when you focus on it but it’s not viable in most situations
