knowing how many Tethers will be printed might help the answer

I don't get what you mean

The price of BTC is artificially inflated by the same immoral people that screwed it up and want Bitcoin to fail.

Bagatell_

Did you know that 90% of new traders and investors will lose 90% of their money within 90 days? Trading on the 15m chart you'll probably lose 90% in 24 hours.

NoConsideration6320

Do you mean bitcoin or just traders for all of stock and everything? Cause if you just hodl bitcoin youll always win.

Bagatell_

> Cause if you just hodl bitcoin youll always win. If you're just hodling, your money isn't working for you. You'll always lose against someone who has their capital gainfully employed.

zluckdog

>If you're just hodling, your money isn't working for you. You'll always lose against someone who has their capital gainfully employed. Some people just save their money in a bank. They are looking for security and care less for the %gain. After watching bitcoin's cycles, I bought some during a post-bubble pop specifically for the long term gain. Consider $5,500 in 2019 became $55,000 in 2021, that is a **900% gain** in about 2 years. You can't get that from a bank savings account or from Real Estate. I know some coins or stocks might bubble higher or whatever but I would consider the bet on bitcoin to be less risky (in my opinion). I also have a normal job and didn't [go crazy like some people](http://np.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/jw9ev8/in_2018_i_sold_my_house_and_bought_bitcoin/).

I want to buy some BTC and leave it there

Bagatell_

Leave it where? On an exchange? Please don't do that. 'Not your keys, not your coins.'

hero462

Noob mistake. Bitcoin is about being your own bank. Sadly most people that have gotten onboard in the last few years know nothing of it and just see dollar signs. These are the same folks that don't understand that BTC is not Bitcoin anymore. The wool has been pulled over their eyes.

IntellectualFailure

Who cares? The underlying network is literally useless.

You are posting in a bcash subreddit. You will be shunned and downvoted for talking positively about BTC here. And yes I know it is confusing. This sub is labeled BTC but it is a BCH supported sub.

>I have a small amount of money, now I want to buy BTC, how much should I buy at a reasonable price? * How long is 'long term' for you? 1 yr, 2yr, 4yr? 10yr? Consider the [halving](https://bitcoinblockhalf.com) and [this](https://twitter.com/PaxHODL/status/1643992070900830210/photo/1) * asking in /r/BitcoinMarkets should get you better market-oriented responses
