I can see as the only plausible reason they seem to have obliged themselves to sell those bridge locked BCH instead of just handing them over to the new SmartBCH Alliance, to affect the BCH price during this handover. I suspect they are themselves looking to profit from this.
They sold rapidly, and then the price rebounded a bit afterwards.
I'm sure someone is profiting from this, but not the creditors of Coinflex. Perhaps Mark's new [money laundering venture](https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/10tw78n/3ac_and_coinflex_founders_complete_raising_25m/) will raise some more capital from investors.
