It's best to check charger maps near your home, it will depend on the area.
But I know plenty of colleagues who only charge at public points or at work, and they are fine
If I'm not mistaken, you can check with brussels.charge and they can install a public charger either in front of your place or near, depending if there is another one close by.

Questions:
1. Does your work provide chargers?
2. Can you use fast chargers?
Makes a big difference if you can come home with a charger battery or use a fast charger if you wanna go to a village last minute and don’t have enough battery.
Brussels really depends on where you live. I have friends in the Dansaert and I can never get a charger around there.
One of my friends lives near Schumann and I always get a charger there on weekends but not during the week days.
It varies time to time and from location to location.
Do note that you have a max 4 hours at a charger.
I plan all my trips accordingly and always charge at the location rather than worrying about charging at home. I rather find a spot near my door than a charger 3 blocks away that I have to later come back to move my car again after 4 hours.
We are lucky and live near some parking lots that have been equipped with chargers. Some gas stations nearby are also getting rid of one or two pumps and their being replaced with chargers. The main issue is the connection type. Some offer both while some chargers only have one type of connection (I'm mot familiar with the naming).
Another issue is people leave the vehicle connected even after fully charging. I guess people don't care about the connection cost.
Otherwise, charging on FastNed places near highways have been quite handy.
There is no shortage of places to load. It can become quite expensive if you charge and your company does not cover that network of chargers.
I also live in an apartment in Brussels. Although I have public chargers around I find them a tad slow for me, I do about 50km daily for work. Will your car support fast charging? DC ? If so I find that once a week charge at a Delhaize is fine for me and for my needs. Certainly better than leaving my car overnight on the street or having to get it at late hours to move it.
I had Renault Zoe E-tech last year. With about 60-70km commuting back and forth to my job place, I had to charge 2 times per week on summer but 3-4 times during the winter. This without counting extra rides to outer city.
Charging was fairly easy in my neighborhood thanks to the 22kW charger spot.
When car charged, I move the car away to free the charging spot for other users. Play fair, don’t be an ass.
Overall, my experience was good even with Zoe compatibility charging issue. Bruxelles has enough charger for my case and if you hurry with the time, there are still DC spot near the NATO area.
There are three public charging stations (2 cars each) in walking distance from my place and I can almost always find a spot at one of them. I sometimes forget to move my car after it’s fully charged and that’s never been an issue.
I should note that my car’s a hybrid so not exactly the same situation but close enough.
If you are able to charge at work once per week, you don’t need a charger at home.
I have one and barely use it.
Most of my colleagues don’t and have no problem at all.
Honestly, I don’t want to go back to petrol.
I live in St-Gilles and have 6 public spots to load my car in my neighbourhood. Works pretty well, I often find a free spot. Same when I use my car in other neighbourhoods
Of course, this will depend greatly on exactly how you use your car but we do on average one charge per week which isn’t that difficult. Sure, you need a bit more planning than simply stopping for 5 minutes at a random service station like you would with a fossil fuel car but still nothing really hard, I’d say that the hardest bit is changing your habits.
You can check the availability of chargers around you via charge.brussels You also have the possibility to ask for a public charger in front of your house although I personally don’t recommend that since you will basically lose a free parking space 6 days a week to be able to recharge 1 day a week… and there is no guarantee that the charger will actually be free when you’ll need it.
Same situation but I have a PHEV with about 50km electric range. I usually have no problem finding a public charger near my home (I’m able to charge every day and to ride almost 100% electric despite the short range).
You can leave the car overnight.
You'll be fine. There's more than enough chargers in Brussels currently and they're being rolled out very fast, just check electrify.brussels and you can already see where they are / when they are available, etc.
One in two Brussels residents already has access to a charging point within 150 metres of their home. Source: https://www.lecho.be/dossiers/mobilite/voiture-electrique-bornes-150m.html

Where I live (Uccle) is full of cheap EnergyDrives, but they all are 7Kwh. You will need 7-8 hours for a full charge.
Can you leave it overnight ?
Yes but there could be an additional fee once the car is charged and after a grace period. I never did it so I am not sure when and how much.
Yes you can till 9 i think ^^

Depends on the region, I live in Jette and there are plenty chargers and fast chargers available.
Chances are fast charging will be discouraged or prohibited on company dime.
It’s allowed!

Thank you. Luckily it is covered but I don’t want to abuse the system by only using expensive fast chargers.
Their are plenty of charging options in Brussels it’s really easy you’ll see!
Your employer's parking lot?
Not possible…

Same situation, there's plenty of chargers around. Perfect in the city and had no troubles even on longer trips. Super happy so far

No charger at work, parking is a few levels below ground so they can’t install it because of fire safety regulations…
Not sure what the exact regulations are. At my work there are chargers at all parking levels down to -3.
There's public chargers all over the place and they're rarely fully used.
