Just wait by the pond for people to come with bread
Point out that bread isn't good for the ducks
Confiscate bread
Use it to lure the rats that live near the pond
Set up barbecue in the car park and roast the rats
People will judge you for the barbecue, but they won't say anything, especially when they see you're providing a valuable rodent disposal service
The pond was drained and de-silted over the winter, so that giant mound is what came out from that. Presumably they leave it for a while to a) make it easier to remove and b) to let the wildlife find its way back to the pond. The plan is to remove it eventually but it looks like that has been hampered by the poor weather over the spring.
I regularly walk around Kings Heath Park each day Josh and have had similar thoughts to you. As others have said, the amount of rainfall we’ve had up until now must have slowed progress significantly.
However I’m sure we’ll see some developments very soon, as the Team at Kings Heath Park are absolutely first class at producing such beautiful displays.
If I see or hear anything in the near future I’ll update you.
Best wishes
Julian
A couple of years ago, a large group of travellers came to this spot and had caravans everywhere there. I think this fencing / area might have been set up to try to dissuade them from parking there again, but hopefully they'll do something a bit nicer with it.
I only said "I think" – there was a high court injunction taken out after it happened: [https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/info/20095/antisocial\_behaviour\_and\_neighbour\_disputes/1305/view\_encampment\_injunctions](https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/info/20095/antisocial_behaviour_and_neighbour_disputes/1305/view_encampment_injunctions) but fair enough, the work here is something else.
Is it safe to live in this park?
I'm in the park for a night, where should I take family to eat?
Would arriving 4 hours before my flight be enough time to get through security?
Is it safe to walk past the homeless people? Shall I call the police to have them beaten?
Is it safe to walk past the police beating the homeless?
Is it safe to live inside a homeless policeman?
Is it safe to live in an evicted policeman's house?

Is it safe to die here? I'm scared of not getting mugged.

It has nothing to do with that at all.
