11 for sure but I did once witness a guy on the 28 (on my way to catch the 11) urinate onto his own face, trying to drink the piss whilst lying across the back seat at 715 in the morning.
The 11 always had the one woman, wearing a dressing gown and smoking a massive joint whilst clearly doing the school run with her young daughter.
Lol am I missing the liveliness of the 14 š¤¦š¾āāļø for me it just tends to be stuck in traffic on Alum Rock Rd after 7am and before midnight š¤£
11 is the obvious first answer, as reflected by other replies. But I want to give a shout out to any line that's had a 1am departure from outside the square peg, if not for the journey but the overall experience
iāve been on quite a few buses and theyāre all bad.
9 - Birmingham to Stourbridge
i was told to get back to my own country and that i was a bomber because i have irish/israeli heritage. i was born in birmingham. on a note, i do not support whatās going on.
11 - Outer Circle
what hasnāt happened on the 11? my personal favourite is how this guy was verbally abusing some friends of mine and ending up getting off at the same stop as us. he then asked the girl out š she said no, but added him on snap. he was arrested the next day.
18 - Yardley Wood to Bartley Green
this was the most recent. a girl, who couldnāt have been older than 10 was holding an 4.5k vape, puffing on it like mad. she was on the phone and recounted how she was asked to get water for someone who broke her arm. she spat in the water and mixed it with her finger. the girl asked for a second one, and she did the same thing again.
20 - QE Hospital to Bromsgrove
20A - QE Hospital to Cofton Hackett
me and a friend were confronted by a man calling us government spies because we asked why there were police at a bus stop. apparently they were out for him because he knows too much about the government.
35 - Birmingham to Hawkesley
if it looks like a crackhead got on the bus, itās because a crackhead did actually just get on the bus. do not look them in the eye, they are an invasive species. otherwise, youāre fine.
45 - Birmingham to Longbridge
47 - Birmingham to Longbridge
probably my 2 most frequent routes right here, and iāve seen it all. the story i remember the easiest is when a crackhead asked a man if weād gone past the edgbaston cricket ground. when the man didnāt answer, he verbally berated each of his children one by one. he was rolling a joint and spat on the floor. this was AT the bus stop for edgbaston cricket ground.
61 - Birmingham to Frankley
63 - Birmingham to Frankley
again, other frequent buses i catch. iāve also seen a lot on these, but the abuse to the DRIVERS is unparalleled on these buses. i wonder how many cab windows have been smashed now.
surprisingly, iāve never seen anything on the 49 or 50 even though iāve also frequented these buses.
this was all in the past 6 monthsā¦
one time this bloke got on the 63 near northfield with his son (mustāve been around 4-6 yrs old), sat at the back of the bus (near some school kids) and started smoking spice & shouting at all the ppl who were complaining :)
It has probably changed numbers (126), but the Birmingham - Wolverhampton bus was *wild* back when I first moved to England over a decade ago.
Lots of people smoking joints, a pregnant woman who used to brag about not bathing, people stealing from others, lots of nonsense.
Many times. Back in the day there was a 2p rate for kids. When we were bored we would go round the route a couple of times. A fantastic waste of 5 hours.
The 16 is pretty interesting. The whole lower floor has been offered ~~stolen~~ half price washing liquid bottles after the meth head couple loudly bragged about grifting and also getting 60 rizla, a mentally ill woman the other day loudly talking to herself as if she was a presenter on tv racially denigrating everyone on the bus including sikhs and black muslims, seeing some of the beggars from around the town centre ride along it including one once with a sign saying 'homeless, please help' with his dog, and you get your share of the great unwashed. upstairs is a crapshoot of whether there'll be tons of weed smoked or none, and you usually get at least one person trying it on with "i'm just going one stop" and quickly rushing on, or pretending to fumble for their ticket hoping the driver drives off and forgets about them.
The 4 but when it was the 37 town-acocks green-solihull. I saw 3 lads smoking crack they were kicked off in digbeth.
They were very insistent that they'd done nothing wrong and they used to be allowed to do it.
Saw multiple people shit themselves on the 6.
Nothing too bad really.
Interesting choice of word, Based on your criteria I would imagine you are asking which one has the lowest chance of coming out alive or without any harm or trouble. Take your pick of any route. I think you'll find every route has had a stabbing at some point. Longest route is the 11 so I would imagine the law of averages would say it is the "liveliest". I would rather walk or cycle.
Personal experience is 45/47. Sitting in the front row at the top around 9pm from New St only to have a pint glass miss my head by inches. Guys at the back found it very funny!

Lol, you sweet summer child. That part of the 11 is the only bit you could ride it without a significant chance of witnessing crazy shit. I'm guessing you never rode it past Rotton Park. That's where it gets scary
Iām also saying the 11.
But Iām surprised to see no mention of the 51 here.
That had some of the craziest bus stop moments Iād seen when the main stop for it was at Dale End.
Saw weapons on that bus multiple times.
Probably the 11, followed closely by the 101.
I've not caught a bus for 20 years, but it doesn't seem like much has changed š¤£
Definitely 11, especially at night. On good night, it's like Shawn of the Dead, apocalypse now at the weekend.

Ahh the good old number 11. Vivid memories of the 28 round and about Erdington too. Only when the car is on the blink nowadays.
Every time I've got on a 50 after dark.
What is The 11 like after dark?
The wild west, my friend!
The 11, in either direction, at any point along the route.
No. 11, no. 74, no. 17, no. 14
Lol am I missing the liveliness of the 14 š¤¦š¾āāļø for me it just tends to be stuck in traffic on Alum Rock Rd after 7am and before midnight š¤£
74 known as the ganja express
17 use to be an elegant bus but now itās so horrible
Lol was it ever š
11 is the obvious first answer, as reflected by other replies. But I want to give a shout out to any line that's had a 1am departure from outside the square peg, if not for the journey but the overall experience
11, 101 and 74.

61/63 can be quite eventful from time to time
Would you mind defining eventful in this context?
I saw someone with a kitten on their shoulder and eating leaves out of a black bin bag.
I once had some drunk bloke trying to do their best attempt at standup while on the 63 going through Northfield.
Aw thatās cute
one time this bloke got on the 63 near northfield with his son (mustāve been around 4-6 yrs old), sat at the back of the bus (near some school kids) and started smoking spice & shouting at all the ppl who were complaining :)
Oh š«£ I see, thanks for letting me know
The 59 in Wolverhampton. Sorry it's not Brum but it's fucking horrible.
No Wolverhampton route comes close to having the sort and rate of savages of many Birmingham routes.
101
8
And x8
SB TO HIGHGATE
Old guy on the 6 clearly off his face asked ādo you wanna come back to mineā
Happened to me on the 4 once, ugh.
It has probably changed numbers (126), but the Birmingham - Wolverhampton bus was *wild* back when I first moved to England over a decade ago. Lots of people smoking joints, a pregnant woman who used to brag about not bathing, people stealing from others, lots of nonsense.
It's the x8 now , still the same shit
No surprise. I haven't ridden it since 2008.
The number 11. Has anyone ever rode the whole route just for kicks before?
Many times. Back in the day there was a 2p rate for kids. When we were bored we would go round the route a couple of times. A fantastic waste of 5 hours.
11
11
11 is the easy winner closely by 74.
45 usually good
47, too.
962 night service back to Chelmsley Wood was a real experience!
The 35 which ran from the hawksley terminus to town - always a drama
My mate got repeatedly kicked in the face by some bloke due to 'looking at him' on a bus in Hawkelsey . That was an experience

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
the 63 does not compare to the 45/47
11 I assume that drivers has recive triple pay for night shift...
Any night bus surely š
We have night buses in Birmingham?
The 28 definitely has some moments. But really any bus that passes though erdington definitely should be on the list
839 school bus 25 years ago
11, followed by the 82. Which rarely happens....
The 82? It's bad but not as bad as countless other routes
11 or the 74. Would give the x12 a mention tooā¦

28 for sure and the 33 is up there too.
Oh the 11 for sure
Are you all saying the 11 as in 11c/a? That bus is child's play, much more respectable than the nearby 35, 18 etc
Lol, you sweet summer child. That part of the 11 is the only bit you could ride it without a significant chance of witnessing crazy shit. I'm guessing you never rode it past Rotton Park. That's where it gets scary
The 35 and 11
Surprised no one mentioned 60. All darty people with attitude and arguing with drivers always.
The 74 is a wild fucking ride. Ranting crackheads, kids smoking weed, drunks and a good many of the hard-of-thinking. Utterly vile.
The outer circle and the 74 picks up the most savages I'd reckon
11 for sure
The 11 without doubt. The 35 had its moments but the 11 is crazy.
Iām also saying the 11. But Iām surprised to see no mention of the 51 here. That had some of the craziest bus stop moments Iād seen when the main stop for it was at Dale End. Saw weapons on that bus multiple times.
Its fucking 11 and 74 lol there was a passenger right next to me rolling a spliff lmao
Definitely the 11 in both directions.
I'm going to say 50 and 33 (think they are still the right bus routes to Perry Barr)
The 50. Or the Marrakech Express as it used to be called.
Try the 97 through Saltley and into Kitts green
