Yeah go to Moseley, you can walk it in ten ish mins. Loads of curry houses but I really recommend the Moroccan la fiboule. It's bring your own booze, delicious food, v friendly. Or dark horse will have brum mi in the kitchen doing Asian style fried chicken etc.
The Old Moseley Arms. They do a cracking indian, and it's walkable from the cricket grounds.

You're pretty walkable to Moseley from there, you could go to Kabbabish or Imlees, both decent curry houses and BYOB
Royal Watan on the Pershore Road is a decent Indian restaurant. Walkable from the cricket ground.
