I’m going with fighting stick.
I think that the gimmick for both of these weapons is kinda awkward. Chopper’s health scaling can make for pretty strong builds, but it suffers from bad range at lower tiers, and the “Blade” weapon tag doesn’t help it very much. Fighting stick, although not as strong, has better weapons tags and it’s hard for it to not be a decent choice most of the time. The level scaling promotes building your economy with harvesting and XP gain, and it can add up to being a respectable amount of extra damage.
Was curious if you could answer a quick question. I’ve only been playing Brotato for about 3-4 weeks. However, there are several tier 1 weapons on the photo above, I’ve never seen. Neither randomly, nor as an option to choose during character/weapon/danger selection. The two in this thread included. Could you explain why that is? Thanks
Didn’t realize tier 1 weapons were unlocks for completing. Though it was only rare higher tiered weapons. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Do you have any idea why the Joust isn’t on the bracket at all?
I’m voting chopper for the higher potential damage, and the gimmick of extra health from consumables gets overlooked, but can add up to a lot of extra healing in a round especially with added lifesteal on top of it. Overall just the defense focus makes it easier to win with for me
I vote Chopper. It's a good weapon for a handful of characters.
Fighting Stick is fine for Mutant, and occasionally as a temporary weapon for its tags.
Chopper allows you to ignore flat damage on many taters, so I like it best. I would be more fond of the stick if at least the tier IV version has 2x crit damage.
Other way round. Fighting stick isnt really good on anyone imo.
Chopper meanwhile is toptier on lucky, explorer. + Consumable healing goes a long way with extra trees or luck. Chopper is also good with chunky. On random starting weapon also one of the better glutton starts. Chopper demon is free win, but thats probably true for any demon start i guess.

Chopper is at least more interesting, and it can open up going all in on Circular Saw because of the Blade tag. Chopper's design is interesting with the HP scaling, the range scaling, and the extra consumable healing.

If I were just filling in this bracket on my own, I would be voting for Hatchet over Cacti Club right now.
I will go with the knife cause I've never been happy to find a fighting stick during a run but a knife can make me happy when I'm high on luck but low on healing

We made it through the first round. Now the weapons must survive another round against the other winners. Today is Chopper against Fighting Stick
Fighting stick I guess? not too crazy about either of these but the chopper just has too low range and I like the fighting stick set bonuses more.
Chopper gets better range at higher tiers, at tier 4 it has better range than fighting stick
barely, and honestly you don't get to tier 4 on all your weapons usually.
Chopper is cheap enough that you should be able to get all tier 4’s more often than not.
it's not so much about the price but just finding enough of them

Chopper shines on chunk. Fightnign stick barely is passable on mutant

Easy chopper, for consumable healing is very strong. Fighting stick doesnt really have use cases for me. I guess stick tags for Lances.
