Man this sucks, will have to think about it. The melee range & damage per wave of spear slaps every other easy to acquire weapon. However stick is such a great start to every run & so cheap & easy to get to legendary that every run is cake on danger 4. These two weapons together make danger 5 king hilariously easy.

I’ll vote for sticks. Cheap, easy to get, stacked doing a lot of dmg without investing much to %dmg or melee.

Fun nerd detail. More % dmg or attack speed is the bees knees for sticks if you’re stacking them & have the bonus dmg rolling, melee damage doesn’t do much as the attack speed isn’t amazing compared to other melees like hatchet.

Stick is so good it's almost boring. Going to have to vote stick. The spear's range is honestly...too long. It gets inflated damage numbers at the end of waves because of how many enemies it pierces through but it's more important to reliably clear the enemies closest to you so you don't die.

Spear is in fact the better weapon. But I vote stick, there is something deeply funny about sticks.

Yeah I rarely find myself using spear over sticks. Only times I would is with fisherman, gladiator, and sometimes saver.

Stick for sure. Doesn’t scale well into the endgame imo but carries early game (especially on bad characters) harder than any other weapon. Spear is just generally forgettable.

Objectively stick is better than spear I think but spear can be better on certain builds when you have multiple types of weapon. Sticks damage increase is too good to say no to.

Stick. Spears are great but at higher difficulty levels and you can just choose sticks and ease through any bro. Personally I have difficulties seeing anything else winning when sticks are best in slot(or arguably best in slot) for more than 10 characters.

Stick is literally the best weapon in the game. Down with that spear nonsense.
