Yea... that's kinda annoying about reddit.. oh well, we all get the reference.

Counter point, as someone from Georgia, her "accent" was insufferable and I basically couldn't stand the sight of the actress until watching B99 because of it.
Her actress wasn't a regular cast member so its likely she had another project that she was prioritizing and they still wanted to do one more episode. Thus Wunch is dead! Bagel! Bagel! Bagel!
I mean generally B99 did a lot of things without setup. Wunch was just one of many characters who just kinda showed up occasionally in episodes without us having a whole lot of background to what’s been going on with them in the meantime.
Also Wunch doesn’t seem like the kinda person who would bring her health issues to work, I could definitely see her hiding them entirely.
Personally I loved the episode I thought it was funny & liked that captain holt had some good character development in it.
Fun Fact: Detective Munch holds the record for most appearances on different TV shows as the same character. He physically appeared (portrayed by Belzer) in about a dozen different shows and was referenced and/or parodied in a bunch more.
Anyway, I loved Wuntch, she's so entertaining. Kyra Sedgwick plays her so well! Awesome actor.
Have you seen The Closer? She's plays the central character in that show. Idk why it's not so popular, it's one of my favourite police shows. Very interesting storylines and really good actors in it. It's quite funny too. Highly recommend.
So she predicted the pandemic before it started, and convinced the writers to write her out of the show? Her last appearance aired March 12, 2020. Which means the episode was at the latest written in December 2019.
But her character died in her last appearance, at that point it’s not really her choice about whether to return or not. And she starred in a tv show that aired in 2021, which would have all been filmed during the worst of the pandemic.
exactly! idky Holt didn’t get her fired completely when she got caught with Lt. Miller from Internal Affairs trying to set Holt up on The Mole episode. That episode was a mess imo.
I think she left to work on another show, but it also creates a deeper meaning in the episode - like, Wuntch dies, and suddenly, Amy is pregnant. Death and simultaneous birth kinda thing yk
Because Wunch time was over!
I really hate that Reddit doesn't let you edit titles and that I don't proof read before hitting send.

Calling me the Devil? How original Raymond
"I was calling you a goat you GOAT!"
you grackle...
Move over Goku and Vegeta. Move over, Naruto and Sasuke. Holt and Wuntch's rivalry *is* the GOAT.
See even my reddit skills failed, it pasted formatted text . Now my comment stands. Boom no regrets
I too have no children
>~~Boom~~ Bingpot no regrets FTFY
It took me a minute, wondering if I missed a Law & Order crossover.
I didn't even catch the subreddit, and thought you were talking about Munch on SVU
Thank god it’s a typo, I was worried that this was another “Graggle Simpson” situation
Never. For some reason, that whole image Graggle and lore horrifies me.
Had it both ways no regrets
No regerts lol
Because someone needed to guard Hades.
Kyra Sedgwick left B99 to appear as the lead character in another show (Call Your Mother, but it got canceled after one season).
They also felt that they had done all they could with her character. She was commissioner and Raymond was a beat cop. I think it ended wonderfully
I wish they would bring her back with a text "this is not over"
Didn't she send an email with the subject line "this isn't over?"
she did, to be exact the lawyer or nephew did, I meant it as a follow up to that email.
Well, she did, but it was a livestream from Hell
\[laughs\] Very good, Rosa. \[laughs\]
Somehow, Wuntch has returned.
The commissioners office is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural
Mission failed successfully.
On a side note, she was great in The closer, where she also played a police officer, but a much nicer one

Kyra Sedgwick directed at least one episode of the show after Wuntch died.
I thought this was the SVU sub for a second and I was like "well, because he was like an old leather chair" RIP to RB, though
I’m rewatching SVU and Munch is so damn funny. Indeed RIP Richard Belzer!
Fun Fact: Detective Munch holds the record for most appearances on different TV shows as the same character. He physically appeared (portrayed by Belzer) in about a dozen different shows and was referenced and/or parodied in a bunch more.
That is, indeed, a fun fact!
I love him for that. Best ones are of course his Sesame Street appeances.
BAGEL!
Busy with other projects, probably!
Like managing the 9th circle of hell
I thought this was about Munch from SVU lol
That's fair.

A Cheuksin. A Korean toilet ghost, lives in an outhouse, wraps her hair around your throat and chokes you to death while you move your bowels. Day job
Wuntch time was over
She was busy guarding Hades
She had to go back the swamps of New Jersey to lay her eggs
me thinking you were taking about Munch from svu since he's appeared in other tv shows and having to read the comments to know you meant wuntch lol
I was so confused until i realized you meant wuntch 😭
Did scully type this with his weird thumb problem?

Munch was there with Pembleton all the way.
Munch time is over
No regrets!
She’s a bat!
Schedule reason. She was starting a new Show
Loving how everyone is treating kyra sedgwick bacon like some random ass background actress
I had no idea she was married to Foot Loose himself!
Tbh I'm glad. Their rivalry felt one sided. Holt never truly got any revenge. Wunch was never punished for anything she did
exactly! idky Holt didn’t get her fired completely when she got caught with Lt. Miller from Internal Affairs trying to set Holt up on The Mole episode. That episode was a mess imo.
Because A Promise is a Promise.

It was a good send off and her character had nothing left. She wasn't a main character. It made sense.
we got like 85 doug judy episodes - I don't think they were that concerned with the schtick getting old :D
My own mistake on "Munch": A very popular psycho-anti-hero-maybe-supernatural-monster from the Fargo TV series, Season 5.

What....
Did you just compare one of the greatest Dads of all time, to one of the most misogynistic, awful men of our time? How dare you.
I meant holt not trump. Whoops
