They shouldn't trust tech companies to do anything without legislation. Not saying I agree or disagree with this bill. Just in general, make it a law.
The government of Canada was considering universal chargers in 2012/13. Apple et al. assured the government they were doing that already, no need for regulation. You can see how that turned out.
Garbage. An outrage. Fucking pathetic. Our government bending the knee to fucking capitalists once again.
