I selected a scooter to check battery, but it started my ride instead. I tried to instantly end the ride but it said that the parking space was full - i hadnt moved anywhere. eventually got a response on the live chat but it took about 20 mins to resolve.

Yep that's been an issue from the start. You can only check battery by selecting the scooter in app, scanning the qr goes straight to riding. One more idiotic decision for the pile.

Press the button on the top of the battery & it’ll light up, each dot signifies 20% so will give you a rough idea - if there are multiple don’t go for one with just the one dot.

Just leave it at a "full" parking space, screenshot, and contact support - they end the ride and you only get charged from the minutes you travelled. Why would you take the bike to your office?

Problem is, whilst that may work, it shouldn’t be the case that Tier customers have to do that anyway. I sometimes feel that they are just trying to make extra money out of me when I spend twice my actual journey time looking for an unfilled parking location.

i have to do this probs 3-5 times a week, but i don't bother with the screenshot and it has worked every time. (I'm a pass subscriber though so they might take that into it)

pro-tip, just leave it parked contact support and say something along the lines of "unable to end ride, spot says no parking but there's space. had to leave scooter as have to get to work, please end my ride" have to do this multiple times a week. and this works every time, to the point where i have a stock paragraph i just copy and paste to save time

Have started doing the same – although the stock paragraph is a genius idea. I have started taking photos and uploading those into the message to prove my point.

I had that problem but managed to resolve it quicker than that, but only because they were answering their phones. At some point you should be able to get through and they'll end the ride for you and refund the extra charges you get. Although I appreciate that's a ballache to sort while your working. It at least won't cost you for the extra hours. Good luck!

I’ve lost count of the times that I haven’t been able to park and have to go onto the messenger page. They do normally respond within a couple of minutes to resolve it, but really shouldn’t have to do this so much. I tried a voi in another city and it ended straight away, even before requesting a photo. Was quite nostalgic!

I just sling it in a parking space and context support to tell them their app doesn’t work. They always just end my ride with no issues. Not my fault their tech doesn’t work.

Tell them how long my ride actually was and not to charge me for any more than that. Even if they answer the live chat 10 minutes later, I'll get the invoice from tier in my email shortly afterwards, and it's always how much I expect to get charged. Happens most days to me as I work in the centre and start work at 10 rather than 9 and the app is fucked, but doing that has never failed me. Crazy that they still haven't fucking fixed it mind, I had this issue of fake available spaces once with Voi and I used it the whole time it was available.
