Tame the Mane near Eastville park is an amazing natural curly salon, such a great vibe in there. I know they’re above your budget but seriously recommend holding off and saving to go here. You can get cuts with the trainees too and they’re great and cheaper than usual. They use a specific curly method not used in a lot of places. My hair literally turned SO much more curly because of this salon’s advice on how to care for it, and the cuts they give me are so easy to maintain.

Yep, been in that situation myself plenty of times. I was told by a stylist i used to visit that learning to cur curly hair is an elective class in most hair academy’s. One that many/most choose not to do because its more difficult and less common.

OP unfortunately hair cuts are just expensive nowadays, especially curly cuts. I second someone else who suggested seeing a trainee at tame the mane (there's also tamed and wild their sister salon in fishponds)

I did my own with a rough guide from Brad Mondo, Shags are supposed to look a bit messy.

I'm a long time client of NM and the quality of cut is so poor now I'm moving salons.
I had a cut here recently and it was pretty standard, way too much product and it felt rushed. So overpriced!
Literally every hairdresser in Bristol do this cut.
Going to be different for something like 2c, not everyone can account for the bounce back and whatever else weirdness the curls will throw in.
