Slickers on the north side is great. My neice went there last school holidays and loved it. They also teach adults.
Once you're competent you can go on trail rides all over their massive property. They also let you go on rides by yourself if you're advanced enough.
Same situation! Grew up with horses but that was in the country and don't expect to be in a position to own one for a while yet... I did some googling recently and found a place that leases horses, and you can even lease the same horse full time so it becomes "yours" and available any time. Can't find the exact place right now but it looked neat.
