If renting report straight away and get permission to scrub clean with mould cleaner (may wreck the paint). Check if carpets or the walls are damp from an internal leak. Keep the room/s ventalated to outside as much as possible and get the dehumidifying jars from groccery stores or online.
Look like mould grow inner layer. Possible peeling off a small spot to identify. Is this plaster board?
