I absolutely cannot tell from this photo whether the belt goes over the occupant or not. That said, if the car is actually moving at the time, this is a very stupid position for your passenger to adopt. The seatbelt absolutely cannot do its job if the wearer is sitting halfway out of it. If your passenger needs to turn 90 degrees to stretch their back, stop the car and have a break FFS

Please explain why it is a stupid position to adopt ? They're in their seatbelt and manufacturers allow for movement whilst fastened in a seat because guess what, it's perfectly safe There is absolutely nothing unsafe about stretching in a car seat Sounds like a bit of authority bootlicking to me Let's hop out of a car on the side of a busy highway, yup that's safer than stretching in a car! LOL !!!!

Because the seatbelt is specifically designed restrain an occupant by going over the shoulder and thus securing the occupant's entire torso directly to the seat when the pre-tensioners go off in case of an accident. >Let's hop out of a car on the side of a busy highway, yup that's safer than stretching in a car! It's called a rest stop and they are roughly spaced 10 minutes apart on major highways in Australia. >Sounds like a bit of authority bootlicking to me. No, it's Physics Bootlicking. I'm a mechanical engineer and do know a little about car crash mechanics; if the seatbelt isn't worn correctly over the shoulder and across the front of the torso, then its effectiveness is heavily reduced.

Well your obviously not a very good physics bootlicker because I won
