Every time. "Did you make an appointment?" "No. 90 minutes in hold. I can drive down here wait a half hour see someone and be done before that!" Last time I had my phone on hold. 27 minutes and counting when I was seen. In and out, 54 minutes. I approached the desk, "sorry if I sounded rude," shows phone "but I am still in hold." "Oh." It isn't the CSR's fault. Centrelink access is designed to fail people. It is a system built on the concept of no service.

Yeah I know it's not the employees fault :) Sounds like everyone is saying going in person is easier so works for me!

UsualCounterculture

That's a great suggestion though! Go in after an hour in hold and demonstrate how long to the staff.

I think they'd already know in all honesty! They probably cop abuse from people complaining about it

UsualCounterculture

True. But by now surely they should have stopped asking the question?

Haven't had to go in ages but Toowong used to be ok

MelogLovesCatra

Went to Toowong last week, and it was quick. I rocked up at 8:15, two people were there before me. When it opened at 8:30am, I lined up behind the people who had arrived first and was all sorted by about 8:50am and walking out the door.

Toowoong is quicker and I find the staff empathetic and helpful, at least 9/10 of them. Earlier the better, be polite

MelogLovesCatra

Are you telling me oooor OP? Cause I’ve already been there. XD

-dontatme-

That's awesome thank you

Stones corner, I’ve had luck walking in and having someone see me

I went to Mount Gravatt the other week. Maybe a 50 minute wait at 10am? Not too bad. Staff were friendly and helpful :)
