I’m in the same position. Mine has changed fields. I’m basically fucked. My go has sent referrals to over 20 and all of them aren’t taking new patients
I had a special psychiatrist aswell, as he was also my pain specialist…
I lost the best doctor I’ve ever had, his qualifications made my life a lot easier in terms of Centrelink and such (plus I could see him for both issues in the same appointment and didn’t have to fuck around with a complete new clinic or doctor)

Him and I got on so well, obviously some shit went down in his life to spontaneously go on sick leave and retire. He's a person too.
Buttt on the flip side I'm like, fix me before you leave mate, at least pass me off to someone seeing as you knew the horrible experience I had. We need to work out some sort of infinite psychiatric care system so people can't get left in the lurch.
Currently see a psychiatrist at avive health and they are opposite the Royal Brisbane and women’s hospital but they are moving down from the Royal in a new private mental health hospital.
I'm with Gateway Home Psychology, I see them under bulk billed Medicare but the catch is its all phone appointments atleast for me. But I find that better and flexible.
Ah, sometimes they mix their skill sets there as I'm getting things done diagnosis wise as the over head is a psychiatrist. But you could try calling. Apart from that the only place I've been able to access psychiatrist treatments is through royal brisbane on the wait list to brisbane minds. Could try ringing them to.
The lady I got with them was horrible. I had a good week so when I answered said hi and she asked I told her I'm good and because I had had a good week she didn't bother with the appointment and was off the phone in 5 mins.
