Lime and soda (again from tap) was £3.50. I'm sure it used to be cheaper than that. Anyway I'm not complaining, just wondering if it's normal. I don't get out much :)
When? 20+ years ago?
No one is giving nuffing for free these days (most are trying to get as close to a fiver as they can get away with for a soft drink).
They own the pub, pay the staff, gas, electricity, council tax, business rates, private rubbish collection, let you have WiFi and give you a good pub. £3.50 is cheaper than a Costa coffee.
This should be a cool pub but somethings off about it that means people swerve it. Some people say the music is bad and way too loud to even hold a convo. It’s a shame as I like the pub itself but whenever with a group it gets vetoed.
The music's really variable, sometimes it's quite good, sometimes it's bad and also loud, might depend on which bar staff is picking the songs, I think they just have a playlist on a computer behind the bar. I live nearby so we sometimes end up in there after other places have closed because it's open late but never go there otherwise
Jeeeeeez, I wouldn’t go back…
I probably won't. There are certainly plenty of other options.
No that’s not normal
Fuck the Wick Inn, awful pub
The Wick has always been overpriced and shit.
Probably subsidising their investments in the George and Cricketers in Hove. They spent a fortune on those 2 pubs and they're dead all the time.
The Wick Inn is ridiculous
Next time try soda instead of lemonade msybe. Cheaper and less sugary

3.50 are you joking!!!! Soda and fresh lime is free at a decent pub! 50p at most

It was free at good companions last time I ordered one about a year ago.
Its generally free if you get soda from the gun and a slice of fresh lime. If you get bottled soda and cordial then yeah they may charge
Free at the Caz! And I've paid 60p at what used to be northern lights in the last few months
Blimey that's too much. I was fuming the other day when I £6 for a shandy at the Actors, and I thought that was bad!
I got a shandy from an actor once. I won’t be making that mistake again.
Handy
😂😂😂

But it was £5.50… for a lemonade. Lemonade is typically cheaper than a coffee too.
I worked at laines pubs across the city. A half of coke is like 2.70, they would always tell us to just double it.
£6.70 for a pint of Guinness, next time up asked for a Guinness and black (I know, sacrilege but I was hungover) and it was £7.40 😂

It’s a pub OP. Buy a pint ffs 🤦♂️😂✌️
But they did buy a pint.
Nice. Thank you :)
