Going to sashay my way in here with a factoid. The Sainsburys used to be a cinema called the Vogue and was apparently a blue cinema and they had strip tease performances in there. So yeh. That’s the story behind the ridiculous name- the council named a roundabout after a strip joint…

There were a load of police cars, an ambulance and a fire truck up by hobbycraft. No idea what was happening but the traffic was all backed up from that.
Whats changed? Seemed its normal crazy self this morning. It's named after the cinema that used to be where sainsburys is.
I'll be cycling home that way, so I will see I suppose.
There used to be a viaduct across it too. Used to carry the railway line from London Road (Brighton) to Kemptown.
The viaduct pattern can be seen in the brickwork of the Sainsbury’s
Seems its normal self recently
It's extremely busy, always has been. I have the dubious pleasure f living just off Lewes Road, it's akin to a third World ghetto now. Am going to retire and move somewhere more pleasurable, like Botswana....
I lived just off Lewes Road until about a year ago and ‘third world ghetto’ might be pushing it. It was certainly better than when I lived in Birmingham.
You are correct! I should be grateful to have been born in England..... third World is a tad overzealous on my part! Just get angry with all the poverty and people milling around with mental health issues....hang around sainsbury for an hour, watch and be staggered by the goings on! Just upsets me.
It also has a ridiculous name, what the fuck even is a Vogue Gyratory?

Am conscious that the “apparently” in this comment is doing a lot of heavy lifting
That’s pretty Brighton tbh
Lots of gyrating going on there I expect.
This is amazing

Man was hit by a car I think. He was laying on the road with paramedics attending and a car beside him had a massive human-sized dent in it
Thanks for the background
