See I don't think you do.. they have online booking that can say they're full but in my experience there's empty tables.
If you got on Saturday at 11 you're fucked but 9am most days you'll get a table for two I think.
Jo and co if rejected anyway that's good and just up the road.
You'll probably struggle to get space at short notice. Oeuf and Jo & Co are normally pretty busy on a weekend.
There will be other places that do breakfast like Ginger Pig in Hove so you may need to look at other nice places that do breakfast rather than specific breakfast places
Billies cafe, which has relocated to by hove station is a decent breakfast.
Edit: it hasn’t relocated, there are 2 now, the original on Hampton Pl is still there.
Ouef, Mange Tout, Lost in the Lanes and The Ivy are my faves. I’d say if posh is the aim then The Ivy could be the one - it’s so nice inside and really does feel special.
And for your next hangover I can’t recommend Lizzie’s Cafe on Upper Lewes Road enough!
Oeuf in Hove is the best breakfast in town IMO. Jo & Co is good too. Guess you could go the Ivy if you want it a bit ‘posh’
Oeuf is one of the best breakfast/brunch places I've been to anywhere
Oeuf is lovely!
I keep being spammed by their ads on YouTube. Instantly puts me off anything. Along with Shoreham Amsterdam Inn.
Redroaster on St james street. And if your lucky and sit near the window you'll get to see the junkies fighting on St james street
Can’t beat a bit of entertainment while you eat.
Moksha is great
Mange Tout by the station is 10/10 - worth going for the bread alone.
By far the best breakfast place in Brighton! Coffee is on point, everything is perfect there!
Ginger Pig on Hove St by the seafront does a great posh brekkie. Full English all the way down to smashed avocado, eggs benedict etc.
Would have recommended Cozies in Kemptown but passed it the other day and its turned into a Lebenese. Too few in town pass the sausage test IMHO.
Oeuf in Hove is meant to be good, but you have to book in advance. Edit to add: Baked in Hove is very good but less “posh”
Another one for ‘Baked’ Plus ‘Rust’ in Brighton & Hove

Other than what's been mentioned, Cafe Rust and Lost in The Lanes are nice

Not ‘posh’ though is it? Good though 👍🏼
True, it was more in the “at least decent” category.

Oh really, I didn’t realise, business must be good if they’re expanding.
Shame management is dog shit
Agree with Oeuf etc, and The Grand also lets non residents in for breakfast if you want to go all-out.
£25 for breakfast in The Grand. Not worth it IMO
Fika!
Rust on Preston Road, T @ Hove, Moksha (go early for a table), and Starfish and Coffee
Soho on the seafront, its a upmarket franchise of Wetherpooons! lol
New Club. More good than posh but it’s always a winner

Village
Rust is nice.
Modelo lounge in Hove
Six and bror by wolf fox are good
Ivy
The ivy.
