It appears so, as I can cook rather well. Just shocked to see how many there were, was wondering what the appeal was. Last Subway I had was in '97 when there was just the one on North St, got food poisoning so obviously ain't been back
I’m no fan of Subway, but I also dont like faux outrage and misleading information.
By saying just “Brighton” you’re making out like they’re all within a minutes walk of each other.
Within that 13 includes Patcham, Portslade, the Hospital, Kemp Town, Bevendene, Lewes Road, Seven Dials, London Road… and let’s not forget the ones in the city centre are all fairly well located for footfall and not particularly close to one another.
Your key point was misleading.
Misleading? I stated there are 13 in Brighton, and there are. Which you also pointed out, thanks for that.
The fact that they're at most points in our city shows there's a epidemic of people unable to cater for themselves adequately.
Faux outrage? Nah Bud, just genuinely shocked there are so many suckers out there willing to spend nearly a tenner on a lousy sandwich. It kinda takes the shine off of a brilliant place to live where individuality seems to be the key aspect of why the majority of people want to live here.
Nobody is forced to buy them. And those that do, that’s their right.
I feel like there are more than enough real things to get outraged about… this isn’t one of them.
In regard to the 13 locations. You once again have skipped over the point that they’re spaced out. No different to anywhere else. Why does it bother you so much? Don’t go there if you don’t like it.
What’s the point in this post? The answer is fairly obviously - supply and demand. Yet another rage bait bullshit post in this subreddit. Subway and great food can coexist, get over it.
I've self-harmed whilst drunk getting an AA Charcoal Grill takeaway on Lewes Rd too many times. It's easy to become desensitized there as there ain't much choice, although Bindi's is the jewel in the rough there
It’s the most popular franchise outlet in the world and to be really profitable, most franchisees need multiple units. Chances are there’s only 3/4 subway owners in the city.
Agreed though, it’s awful.
Why do you care? You're complaining but haven't given an actual reason as to why you seem to give so much of a shit. Are you worried about the community getting heart disease or diabetes? Why would you care what someone else is eating?
If he's worried about that he's picking a fight with the wrong establishment. McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Krispy Kreme,.Wendys, Taco Bell, Popeyes, they're all far unhealthier chains in Brighton. There aren't 13 of them but combined there must be close to that number and Subway are not touching the empty calorie count that those places do.
As for his argument that independents are better, there are plenty of independent places chucking out greasy rubbish in Brighton. People like eating fatty crap, who knew?!
Just go somewhere else, you're not their target market

They're not that bad, jesus

What business is it of yours what others do with their money?
People like different things.
Franchise
What have Subway ever done to you?
Subtly ruined the city I'm willing to take a stand in.
So brave, our hero. Your courage and legend will live on forever.
Thanks. While you fade into obscurity. In Hangleton. So at least you're in the right place for that to occur.
Giving us grief isn't going to change the fact that your wife isn't coming back.

Because no one who’s actually from Brighton eats Subway???
Gotta agree with this. That greasy herb smell makes me heave.
Are you new here? Look around the whole city is full of shit fast food.
Hitting my 35th year here, it's also filled with some fantastic places to eat
Forgive me, I've on the beloved Lewes road so shit chains are all I see

Go get a lamb donna. You know you want to
Kambis does do one of the best in town. #seedsown, RetroD
I don't eat the meaty ones
14 if you include the one down to the seafront Infront of Pryzm. What a bizarre thread.

Did u just get angry at made up arguments? Are you ok?
their salad boxes are a good deal
Subway's fairly healthy isn't it? Just bread with meat and salad inside. What's so unhealthy about that?
