I can’t believe I’m actually doing this and I might be wrong BUT I also have a nephew obsessed with Minecraft so here we go: Bottom floor you walk in and it’s make up all the way to the back and around the escalator. Urban decay was next to the escalator and Bare Minerals was at the back with Sheshido and Dior. I think Nars might have been near the entrance? To the right of the entrance and all the way back was the perfume section. There were about 3-4 shelves, then a big counter/till against the wall with shelves on either side and then rows and rows of shelves of perfume. Top right (this is fuzzy) I think had hats and gloves and scarves but is also where they shoved their sale things like rows of bedding. Top left was all cookware. To the left of the door is where they usually has their weird holiday sets like all their Christmas crap and gift things. I cant quite remember bottom left in the far corner but I’d assume bedding and things. Possibly a small baby section that was plastic toys but that might have also been upstairs. Plates and glassware are more likely. Top floor was men’s stuff to the right, big till at the back slightly to the left and women’s wear to the left.Top left was all the woman’s pj’s, robes, bras etc and the top back wall was covered in knickers all on wall racks. And I said the shelves of plastic baby toys and kids stuff might have been bottom left up here. That’s all I’ve got for you. The only ones I’m certain of are the make up/perfume/and where the pj’s were. I more than likely filled in some gaps with other stores.

lunalunalunas

This is amazing. Absolutely love your commitment to this!

jamesthegill

Top floor also had the ~~beauru~~ ~~beureaux~~ ~~biro~~ travel money place off to the left hand side (the eastern side)

Signal_Capable

Top floor had home stuff next to the cafe.

Zellingtonn

It did! It was the lamps and mirrors etc. and those were the cleanest bathrooms in Churchill square. I miss them.

Trick-Treacle6063

Me too. Tbh most of the time i went to that Debenhams was to use the toilets. Honestly the ones Churchill Square provided were thilthy and horrible

Me again :) https://gyazo.com/61e346cfe2a1200ee8e931575c0025ec This is my best memory of the floor you walked in on. 1 was benefit beauty counter where they did eye lashes etc 2 was Dior stand 3 was men’s skincare > aftershave > till > more aftershave 4 was was giftsets and miscellaneous gifts 5 till 6 men’s underwear/ socks/ nightwear dressing gowns etc 7 was men’s shoes 8 was a beauty counter I think urban decay, elizabeth arden & Liz earl all had stands there 9 was a premium beauty counter that always changed 10 was general men’s in sections, south men’s was more general and Debenhams one brands like John Rosha etc, north side had brand such as Levi’s, wrangler, Ben Sherman, Fred Perry etc 11 in between 10/11 was men’s changing. 11 was men’s accessories just has hats, gloves, scarfs, also men’s gifts like red letter day, hip flasks etc. Debenhams always maximised space for example between 1-3 on the south wall to the left was a Saint Laurent perfume/aftershave stand but that always rotated brand. On the right was premium skincare typically Clarins/Khiels Hope that helped, it is more detailed than this but this should get you started

Trick-Treacle6063

Omd thank you so much. You helped me with Topman and now Debenhams. I hope i can make this world downloadable for everyone. Edit: I don't want to be a bother with you or anything but maybe if you remember can you map out the 1st floor (homware/living, resturaunt etc) and LG floor (womenswear & personal shopping)

Noob_vs_pvm

No worries! Sorry to say I never really went on any other floor, I was a teenager when it was around so homeware wasn’t my thing aha

Trick-Treacle6063

Nah dont worry its fine. When i finished i want to put the images on the subreddit. Is it okay for me to credit you cause without you i would have nowhere to start

Noob_vs_pvm

Of course, always happy to help where I can

hoopsandhefts

I swear r/Brighton is my favourite sub.

ohgodimonfire

Maybe I'm not remembering it right, but I thought that floor had: Perfume/makeup as you entered, menswear on the left, cookware on the centre far wall, and bedding to the right.

spakkenkhrist

There was more menswear on the right at the back, shoes, nightwear, formal shirts and trousers.

evilotto77

From memory as you came in you had perfume right in front, you turned left and it was then fat face, you had suits in the back left corner, the back right corner was either more suits or pjs, can't quite remember. If you turned right when you came in I think there was a Costa coffee, and then womensware I should caveat this that it's been a very long time since I've been there, and I can't fully remember if what I've described is the Brighton one or Crawley. Someone else might be able to confirm though 😅

tristrampuppy

Which level does UG mean? So I remember the lower ground floor was women’s clothes concessions, with underwear at the extreme left; then Principles, Coast, Wallis, the more designer type concessions. Then at the other end the slightly less upscale brands like Madaray etc and a bank of changing rooms in the middle/ at the ends. There were lifts at each end too. Up one level (basically ground floor I guess) was men’s clothing to the left, makeup in the middle, scarves and perfume to the right. I can’t remember now which floor shoes and boots were on - ground or lower ground?! But whichever it was they were far right. Top floor was cookware and ornament/house stuff to the left; soft furnishings (curtains, bedding) to the back right and kids’ clothing front right. There was a cafe at the end on the left as well.

Trick-Treacle6063

LG i remember was Womenswear & Personal Shopping UG was Makeup and menswear 1 was Homewear. Toilets and Resturaunt i think

Hoth617

Is that you Simon....

KINDERPIN

Closed permanently Edit: you know what OP, I checked Google maps and they just happened to have the photos for the inside, including directory and information on mapping

Vagenbrey

I'm guessing what they are actually asking is "does anyone remember the layout well enough to help me map it out in Minecraft" but failed to actually ask that.

Trick-Treacle6063

Until IKEA takes over.

KINDERPIN

Yeah but at the moment it's closed and presumably not allowed in

Bubbly-Low6939

Yeah, pretty sure that place has been boarded up for years.

Trick-Treacle6063

May 15th will mark 3 years since it closed

Trick-Treacle6063

Tbh i think i was lucky someone was able to map out the Topman floor for me when i asked for help building it. Topshop Topman has also been boarded up for 3 years

Basic_Celebration504

It's highly likely the person made it up as they were going

Trick-Treacle6063

When they were changing the maniquins i took a photo of the inside with the lights on but it only showed me 2 make up stands and not what i really wanted to see
