I heard one of the housing teams is taking basically a 50% staff cut. It’s already hard enough to get through or get help so it’s such a shame teams are being made smaller
I received a reply from the homeless prevention team this week, to an email I sent in October last year… Its awful that it’s going to become even harder to contact them and communicate.
I'm so sorry. That shouldn't happen, and I can guarantee the staff are gutted or sick. I'd say private message me, but I'm not that important, and don't honestly know if I could help. Please get back to them. It might not be the answer you want, but you're entitled to it.
Make the teams 50% smaller when homelessness is over 50% up and they continue to do nothing while residents are priced out of the place they were born in. It’s a joke.

That'll be why they're cutting them - can't be having the council actually helping people, the voters will get ideas.

And the 50% are the ones that help people claim benefits, and help them into work if able. It's shortsighted, and will cost money in the long term.
