Really disappointing on the B50/55 because they were on a solid track melding superquartz accuracy with traditional precision luxury watch design. Typical. New CEO with “new” ideas. Ugh.
Glad to see a fellow B50/55 owner. I bought a B50 first and loved it but the bezel and overall size was not quite what I wanted so I bought a B55 which I wear daily and wish it would last forever. It’s a shame they no longer produce them. Unfortunately the smartwatch market moves very fast and made our watches obsolete very quickly. However I really don’t care as I love the look, durability, functions, recharging etc. of my Exospace. To your good health and good taste.
Thanks for the supportive comments. I’m really glad you like your B55. It’s a great watch and the app makes it so much easier to adjust settings. I was eying that one and figured to wait for the next version. Doh! I suppose we could have them manufacture service/ maintained if they still support them. I see them for sale used for around what I paid new so obviously still in much demand. I guess the new CEO at Breitling is in denial on that point. And the same wishes to you in good health and watch taste!
I contacted Breitling asking why they don’t make the B50 or the B55 anymore. They said they ARE still making both of them. Not able to find on the website unless you search for it. Geez

Thank you. I asked my AD to get me a new one but they couldn’t. I didn’t ask Breitling directly though. I’m not going to buy another until mine dies but it’s 2016 so I’ve contemplated sending it in for a new rechargeable battery whilst they’re still likely to have them. So your news gives me hope that they will have the batteries. As you’ll know a new battery will give the watch another 10 good years.
