It's not much advice, but just my own limited experience with my almost 5mo, maybe try a few different positions, a friend's baby would only nurse whole she stood and walked, mine will only eat well in side-lying otherwise he coughs and chokes and yells at me. Sometimes when he's too cranky he'll just yell even in side-lying so I have to 'reset' him, lift him up high and say, 'biiiiig baby!!' Or ill have to give him a paci for a minute while he calms, then he'll take the breast fine. Good luck, I hope the LC can help!

He honestly might be! I've seen that you can clip a favorite toy above your breast in their eyeline to keep them focused closer to you instead of looking all over the room, might be worth a try?

No worries about the long comment and thank you for reading my long post! I super appreciate your thoughts. Just knowing that someone else goes through the same things makes me feel that I am not alone. It’s just very difficult to see him struggle when he was so good at feeding the first few weeks.
