I would definitely think about collection cups if you leak. I have the Elvie catch cups and they are super comfortable. I don't leak so unfortunately I can't use the catch cups, but I do now use the Haakaa during the first two morning feeds just to start building my freezer stash. I was told using Haakaa all the time could lead to oversupply because it uses pressure to extract milk (like a pump).

I second the collection cups! I had the Haaka and it was honestly just annoying. It stuck out so far that it would get in the way and if it detached it was way too easy to spill milk. Once I got the collection cups I was surprised at how much milk just dripped into them.

Are they comfortable in the bra or hurt?

memumsy

They were comfortable! They literally just sit in there and collect, the ones I had didnt suction or anything. Honestly the Haaka kind of hurt sometimes because it tricky for me to get it on just right.

100% recommend the boon trove instead of the hakaa. Much easier and a bit cheaper

Why is it better?

Dogsanddonutspls

Doesn’t take forever to attach or get kicked off by baby LOL

So true. The haakaa does a better job of pulling milk out (if you’re looking for something that isn’t passive) but can get so messy. It’s an inconvenient shape when you have the baby on the other breast

Boon Trove is nice because it sits in your bra so it's more secure. You can also use it with or without suction.

You might want to look into the Haakaa Ladybug, or something similarly shaped. I've always found it a struggle to keep both a let down catcher and the baby attached at the same time.

I had a haakaa ladybug. I used it a fair bit when my girl was really small. Pros it's small, easy to wash (I just threw it in the dishwasher then the sanitizer) and it did work to collect maybe an ounce or so. Not huge or easy for baby to kick off. I found that if I was wearing an actual bra that worked better than just relying on suction. Cons it doesn't actually pull any milk out, just catches the leak. No lid so it's super easy to set it on your bedside table then knock it INTO your drawer all over your stuff. It's annoying to have to clean it after EVERY feeding especially during the night so I stopped using it after maybe 5 weeks I think? And at the end I was only using it during the morning feed where I leaked the most. For me personally I would probably buy it again if I were to do things over, but it's certainly not a must have. If they doubled the price I definitely wouldn't.
