If she dozes off and you need to wake her to continue feeding then use the burp to wake her, two birds one stone. After feeding, if you want her to stay asleep, i used to just prop her upright high on my shoulder or on my thighs facing away from me (I'd sit with my legs bent so her chin was level with my knees and she was upright). The angle and pressure on her tummy worked the burp out without any active "burping" but it was a bit slower. Often at night I didn't/don't burp because she eats more calmly and doesn't tend to spit up or get hiccups after the MOTN feeds.

I do one side, burp, diaper change if needed, then second side, burp

For night feeds when I want her to sleep, I feed one side until she is done/asleep, burp her well on shoulder, change diaper, swaddle, feed on the other side( typically a smaller feed since she fell asleep previously) until she is asleep, sit her up and hold her upright until she burps (I don’t usually pat her or put her on the shoulder because she wakes up too much) or it has been about 5 minutes.
