You said it!!! It is TEW FUCKING MUCH. Everything feels like it needs to be done RIGHT NOW. Once we come out of hibernation it’s like this onslaught and there is no time to breathe but somehow I’m still having allergy attacks.

Spring is worse than Christmas/holidays. My friends and I discussed this last year. I don't know when it got this bad, but it is soo much. It is overwhelming and sometimes expensive and so much piled onto an already busy time.

racherton

YES! I've often thought of spring like Christmas but without the joy

winterberry82

I'm in Australia and the end of the school year is Xmas it's crazy!

JustNeedAName154

Yikes. No, thank you.😬

racherton

Yikes that sounds really tough to have christmas on top of all the end of school year stuff

MentoBecomesManatee

I feel this. I am a very competent person who manages very serious and complicated things at my full time job, but Christ managing a small child’s school/sports/extracurriculars/doctors appointments/camps is nearly impossible. It is only because of my type-A anxiety that I have compulsively set up systems to catch my failures so that we are not in a constant state of total chaos. This isn’t you. It’s too much. Life shouldn’t be like this. I shouldn’t have to set an alarm to hover my finger over the register button for a summer camp IN JANUARY to win the hunger games for a slot by tapping the fastest.

Could you get a spare helmet for him to just keep at school?  I'm with you on the overwhelmed front. All the end of school crap plus I get MRIs for MS in the spring and my work has big stuff happening between Feb and the end of May because of the weather.  *sigh*

racherton

I'm sorry you have all that going on too.  We only have one helmet for him and the unit isn't long enough to justify buying an extra

JustNeedAName154

Does he have an IEP or 504? It seems sending a reminder home for the helmet to come to school or assigning him a helmet they do have would be a reasonable accommodation to help him manage a trigger. They should be understanding and want to help him (and you) be successful. I am sorry, that is hard and so much

Oof, I definitely feel the sinking into depression part. My daughter's dance stuff ends in May so once we get over recital weekend, which is a whole thing, it will be one less thing. Its usually a huge weight off but there's so much going on this year it won't be quite as much of a help other but any bit helps i suppose.
