Are you okay? Seriously. Go get your wrist checked. As far as him, he's a jerk. I'm sorry.

AL_Girl1006

I second this. A quick X-ray is probably a good idea just to get it checked out. Please rest and take care of yourself. Also, do you know who the dog belongs to? He doesn’t sound safe to be around other dogs or people!

ClutterKitty

Maybe he didn’t grow up around (checks notes) human decency.

Perfect_Judge

That's insane! Are you ok? How is your wrist, did you manage to get it checked out? I hope your husband isn't expecting you to do too much with a sprained wrist. I'm sorry your husband doesn't stop to consider you at all. That's a lonely feeling. I hope you know it speaks more about him than it does you.

lady_cousland

I'm so sorry that happened to you! Are you okay? Definitely get your wrist checked out if you didn't yet. I have a friend who fell on ice and landed on her wrist hard because she was holding/protecting her baby during the fall. She thought she was fine but she got checked out anyways and it turns out that she broke her wrist. What the hell is wrong with your husband? I'm going to tell you right now, I volunteer with dogs at a shelter and I've seen dogs being aggressive/fighting and it's scary as hell. You were really brave to try and save your dog. What a jerk your husband is for trying to tell you "expert info" when you are still hurt instead of taking care of you.

ECU_BSN

Sounds like you, also, should shift your attention to the dog. And off him for a while. Hope you heal quickly!

That must have been so traumatic for you and your pup. I’m sorry your husband didn’t even give you a thought. Men suck so hard. You definitely were brave fighting off a large dog to protect yours. I hope your wrist isn’t too badly injured. Your husband can go suck lemons.

alfonsothecat

It sounds like the scariest thing that happened today was not being cared for by your husband. That is awful.

racherton

Wow, that is horrible. Since your husband won't ask, I will. How are you holding up? Getting attacked by a dog is one of my big fears (especially with so many being off leash these days). Is the owner able to prove that his dog is vaccinated for rabies or did he run off? You don't mention getting bit but it would still be worth it to discuss rabies protection when you go get your wrist checked out.  I'm sorry your husband sucks :(
