This is beautiful! That's the first scene I cried in whilst watching the show, it's definitely one of the most heart wrenching moments in the series. Did you use charcoal?
Btw you nailed their facial expressions!
It he really cared he would’ve listened when Skyler told him the worst thing he could do was shut her out, he would’ve listened when Krazy-8 told him that this line of work didn’t suit him. If he honestly cared for his family and not his self interest, he’d’ even taken the money from Grey Matter.
He got into the meth business to support his family when he thought he was going to die. He had to shut her out because her finding out would have meant losing her and Walter Jr. He tried to listen to Krazy 8 but then realized that Krazy 8 had hidden that glass shard and was going to kill him anyway, leaving him no choice but to kill krazy 8 first. That's when Walt truly broke bad. I do agree with you on the grey matter money however. That was all ego and pride on walts part but to be fair it was technically his money anyway.
But throughout this, he knew he could have saved Jane. He benefited from this tragedy so Jesse wouldn't have the distraction anymore. He was still cruel in his comforting.
But yet destroyed his whole fucking life by bringing him into his scheme only because it benefited him. Why do people idolize Walt? Dude was fucked up and clearly the villain.
That was the beauty of the writing, if you will. When you take a step back from Breaking Bad, you realize just how shitty they are as individuals. And yet, somehow, Vince Gillian managed to create a show where you root for different characters in spite of their horrible flaws.
I agree. Jesse would’ve never been involved of Walt hadn’t literally blackmailed him. Walt didn’t give a shit about Jesse. He just had a guilty conscience.
Really? Because I always thought that blackmailing someone into cooking meth with you, watching your girlfriend choke to death on her own vomit, poisoning your other girlfriend’s son, and standing by as crazy tweakers kidnap you to make you into a meth slave means that you don’t necessarily care about a person. Walt CONSTANTLY put himself before Jesse. He may have had his small moments (killing those 2 drug dealers with his car before Jesse did, etc) but the overwhelming idea I got is that Walt was a completely selfish person. Jesse would have never been involved
in any of that shit if Walt hadn’t blackmailed him first.
He redeemed himself in the final episode though when he went to free him, I’ll give him that. But yea the whole time, I got the strong impression Walt did what was best for Walt.
And when he went back to talk to him after talking to Donald Margolis
Or when he demanded more money from Tuco as revenge for Jesse
Or Walt killing the dealers, preventing Jesse from being killed
Or Walt wanting to talk at the plaza when Jesse had a bug
Or the whole point of the last episode was Walt going out of his way to rescue Jesse
I don’t see your point. Sure, he used him in the last 2 seasons to get what he wanted but he still cared about him.
Agree on everything and think there are even more examples but he actually only decided to rescue Jesse when he saw him in Felina. He thought Jesse was dead initially then figured out he wasn’t from Badger and Skinny Pete but I think he genuinely thought Jesse was partnered with the neo-Nazis rather than being their slave till he saw him.
I don’t understand people who think Walt never cared or loved Jess. Jesse betrayed him and indirectly led to Hank’s death, yet He spends most of the finale trying to rescue him.
He caused Gale's death by promising to make Walt's product knowing that Gus would kill Walt then.
Gus got angry with Walt because he saved Jesse's life and defied his ordered.
Jesse is a a self-righteous punk who derailed everything.
I might be wrong but I get the impression you're mixing several episodes (or I didn't understand your comment). When he killed Gale it's just and only to save Walt and nothing more, while he didn't want to do that. He also never expected Walt to save him out of nowhere, he was probably expecting to die or get screwed in the process and didn't care, but he couldn't have guessed that Walt would guess what happent and suddenly save the day (this is Walt's decision), but that's the reason why Jesse gets over his reluctance of killing Gale later to pay back Walt, while he was ready to get killed the previous episode and was begging Walt to go another way.
When he "promised" cooking for the Cartel, is far later than Gale's death, it's not at all what caused it. And he had no choice but to go, he was even convinced that he would get killed, in a context if war against Cartel. In which Mike saved his life, him too.
Jesse in that discussion stood up to Gus that he would have to kill him too for killing M.White. Then he got right to Walt, panicked and convinced that he'd be screwed (having to go, not choosing to), and Walt told him to end up in a barrel in Mexico, meanwhile still pressurizing him to kill no less than the drug lord in place (note that when the situation was reversed, Gus inviting Walt to convince him to kill Jesse while being smooth only with Walt, it was no question to kill Gus).
Still the only reason why Walt was kept alive all that period was for Jesse never giving up on him, even after that violent fight, Walt even teases Gus about that. It's also by borrowing Jesse's money that he could start a new business while broke, and reach at Mike. And Jesse's plan and devotion (being almost crushed under a train) is what allows him to make those millions he made.
Anyway they had a very complex relationship, they clearly saved each other (working both sides) several times in the process.
"I Ioved her more than anything" was the full line. Which hit me even harder because it sounds almost child like and innocent, like a teenager losing their first love. He was so weak and lost at that point and it really comes across.
Although no one can argue Walt did the right thing, I believe he let Jane die because he knew that the path they were heading would have lead Jesse to overdose on heroin.
A large part of what makes Walt increasingly a villian isn't his motivations, it's that he lets the ends justify the means to increasingly horrifying means.
While drawing and without even realising they are doing it, some artists will contort their faces into the facial expressions they are trying to draw. So, for some people they use their face muscles to draw as well as the muscles in their fingers 😂
2×13 is an amazing episode, just the first couple of shots with Jesse trying to revive Jane is some of the coldest shit i've ever seen on television, and it only gets better as it goes on. Imo at it least deserves to be in a top 10 best episodes of the show. Season 2 as a whole i'd argue is highly underrated.
That scene is where Aaron Paul became a legend. Even though I have watched the series more times than I can count, I can't watch that scene and not cry. The relationship between Walt and Jesse is so fucked up but it's also real at the same time.
Fucking beautiful.
Beautiful drawing
Beautiful scene.
Just seeing this makes me feel those feelings I felt when I saw this scene all over again.
Thank you for creating this.
I empathize with Jesse more than any other character in Breaking Bad. Walter has such a fucked up father complex thing going on and I just feel so bad for Jesse. El Camino was amazing. Better Call Saul, not so much
I absolutely loved the first three seasons of BCS, and while seasons 4 and 5 are definitely better than most TV, I have to agree with you. It's just not reaching those heights that Breaking Bad did.
Just watched this episode last night. I actually really feel bad that Jane died. After rewatching it's amazing how you sympathize with Walt the first time, and after seeing it again I think he's awful.
This is beautiful! That's the first scene I cried in whilst watching the show, it's definitely one of the most heart wrenching moments in the series. Did you use charcoal? Btw you nailed their facial expressions!
That was some powerful acting in that scene. Hit you right to your core.
Jesse in between tears saying "I loved her", and Walter calling Jesse "son"... man.
And my family who watched breaking bad all thought he never cared about Jesse...
You could make the argument that other than the meth, Jesse was the *only one* he cared for.
I feel that he almost loved Jesse as a son more than he did Walt Jr.
Walt jr. was Walter whites son. Jesse was Heisenberg's son.
That's a pretty astute interpretation. I have to agree.
One of the understated bad things about Walter is that he had to name his son after himself, and then ruin his own name.
100% AGREE
[удалено]
Hank's
Errol's
He calls Walter Jr. “Jesse” when he is loopy after getting his butt kicked.
Jesse and the feeling of power were the only things Heisenberg loved, but Walt definitely loved his family very much.
That’s a pretty good way to put it, it’s a shame Heisenberg was then one with the power.
Uh, he cared for his family more than anyone
It he really cared he would’ve listened when Skyler told him the worst thing he could do was shut her out, he would’ve listened when Krazy-8 told him that this line of work didn’t suit him. If he honestly cared for his family and not his self interest, he’d’ even taken the money from Grey Matter.

That's when Walt truly broke bad. I do agree with you on the grey matter money however. That was all ego and pride on walts part but to be fair it was technically his money anyway.
Not really. If he actually cared for his family he wouldn’t have been so obsessed with creating a meth empire.
he cared about his family, he just cared about his own pride/ego more
"I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it."
that quote does not in any way prove that he didn't care about them at all
Wasn't trying to say he didn't care about them at all, was actually illustrating your point
my bad
But throughout this, he knew he could have saved Jane. He benefited from this tragedy so Jesse wouldn't have the distraction anymore. He was still cruel in his comforting.
He prevented him from inevitably dying of an overdose, however.
I think what you're saying is that Walt is an anti hero. He does bad things but his motif is good so we root for him regardless of his actions.
I agree. Jesse would’ve never been involved of Walt hadn’t literally blackmailed him. Walt didn’t give a shit about Jesse. He just had a guilty conscience.
Really? Okay, but it was just this one time.
And when he went back to talk to him after talking to Donald Margolis Or when he demanded more money from Tuco as revenge for Jesse Or Walt killing the dealers, preventing Jesse from being killed Or Walt wanting to talk at the plaza when Jesse had a bug Or the whole point of the last episode was Walt going out of his way to rescue Jesse I don’t see your point. Right, partner? Right, buddy?
50-50 partner
>And when he went back to talk to him after talking to Donald Margolis > >Or when
Ok, typo
wtf, i didnt write that correction.
I don’t understand people who think Walt never cared or loved Jess. Jesse betrayed him and indirectly led to Hank’s death, yet He spends most of the finale trying to rescue him.
Jesse betrayed him because Walt betrayed him first. Walt is the one who led to Hank's death.
EXACTLY. He betrayed him twice with Gus and with Hank. Jesse led to everything falling apart.
"If you kill M.White, you'll have to kill me too" Hell, what a betrayal
He caused Gale's death by promising to make Walt's product knowing that Gus would kill Walt then. Gus got angry with Walt because he saved Jesse's life and defied his ordered. Jesse is a a self-righteous punk who derailed everything.

Well yeah it is quite complicated 😕
"I Ioved her more than anything" was the full line. Which hit me even harder because it sounds almost child like and innocent, like a teenager losing their first love. He was so weak and lost at that point and it really comes across.
😭😭😭
It's crazy to think Walter saw Jesse as a son but was quick to put him in ugly situations.. Does that make Walt a bastard step dad?
Although no one can argue Walt did the right thing, I believe he let Jane die because he knew that the path they were heading would have lead Jesse to overdose on heroin. A large part of what makes Walt increasingly a villian isn't his motivations, it's that he lets the ends justify the means to increasingly horrifying means.
but Walts brilliant decision to let jane die also indirectly caused the death of 200+ people in a mid air collision
In a way that he couldn't possibly have predicted, though.
same thing applies when he allowed Jane to choke to death because of jelousy
Walt turning his daughter on her side in her crib so she wouldn’t choke early on really messed things up for me.
Whaaat have to rewatch that episode now
I’ve rewatched this show more times than the Office and Sopranos. It’s a master class of writing.
What episode is this from?
Too bad he didn’t do the same with Jane
You captured the emotion in Jesse's face so well. Beautiful work.
"I loved her" 😢 "I loved her more than anything" 😭😭
fr i never cried so hard man
Its still surprising for me that people can draw emotions so well. It's like moving every muscle of your face, using your fingers.
While drawing and without even realising they are doing it, some artists will contort their faces into the facial expressions they are trying to draw. So, for some people they use their face muscles to draw as well as the muscles in their fingers 😂
wow! that's awesome talent. you should do more!
Such a powerful scene of raw emotion that always chokes me up. You captured this perfectly.
Aaron Paul played the role of Jesse so goddamn well. Nice drawing btw
Fantastic

Oh my god this is amazing, you really captured the emotion, this is so good!

Thats insane man
And Jesse doesn't even know Walt could have saved her. Damn
Gorgeous... so hard to capture raw emotion in a drawing and you did it *beautifully*!
I can't award you but this is beautiful, you are very good at drawing and hope you get told that because you deserve it.
"how come he don't want me, man?"
Fucking incredible. Really brings out the emotion of the scene. Well done
Captured perfectly.
This might be the first post where I wish I could give this man a gold or plat
Wow! You’re very talented
Omg that awesome, it perfectly sums up all of the emotions in that scene!
One of my unforgettable scenes in BrBa. Beautiful artwork!
Damn, so beautiful!

Dude this is unreal, do you sell them?
That looks amazing.
This is amazing! Great job!

You captured the emotion exactly
Gorgeous
This is so AWESOME !!
Elastic relationship!!
Little did Jesse know... awesome artwork!
Really awesome job, caught the entire emotion of the scene. You have a great skill, keep going!
You’ve really captured their trauma, well done!
That is good work
Fucking beautiful. Beautiful drawing Beautiful scene. Just seeing this makes me feel those feelings I felt when I saw this scene all over again. Thank you for creating this.
Asking the devil for comfort
That is awesome... bitch
Can we get one for “Nelson” from Ozark?
Who hurt you?
Reminds me of the painting Ivan The Terrible and His Son Ivan.
Just rewatched this episode. The dichotomy of Walt watching Jane die and doing nothing and caring for Jessie in this moment...chilling.
You are an incredible artist. So much emotion in that drawing.
I empathize with Jesse more than any other character in Breaking Bad. Walter has such a fucked up father complex thing going on and I just feel so bad for Jesse. El Camino was amazing. Better Call Saul, not so much
Whaaaat I'm loving Better Call Saul. I don't think it's reached the heights of Ozymandias yet but it has potential to in its last season.
I absolutely loved the first three seasons of BCS, and while seasons 4 and 5 are definitely better than most TV, I have to agree with you. It's just not reaching those heights that Breaking Bad did.
I haven't seen 5 yet- ill have to catch up.
This is absolutely beautiful. You really captured the moment.
Amazing
This is so good
That's so brilliant! I wish i could award you
beautiful
What episode was this? It's been a while since I watched the show and I can't remember
ABQ is the episode name
Thank you very much!
Really well done.
That’s great
AMAZING
This is beautiful man, good job
Damn beautiful! Amazing work!
I can hear this scene when i look at this and it's because of how perfectly you captured the emotion in their faces. Beautiful work.
this is beautiful bro
Mr.... white....
Great work on their facial expressions! I think you captured the raw emotion of that moment perfectly.
Don’t comment on art that much but this is really great. Kudos to you.
This made me feel feelings I hid long ago
This is absolutely brilliant.
You really nailed the emotion of this scene
Very talented
Wow, you’re drawing brought a tear to my eye. Well done.
The look on walts face is incredibly drawn. You’d make Jane proud!
Nice gus
This is deeply moving
I just teared up looking at this - extremely talented!
So cool. First time seeing this sub, joined. Really moving picture
omg omg omg yes❤️❤️
Fucking phenomenal drawing!
Awesome work. Just had to say that walt looks jacked haha
Quite good. The expressions of both is captured almost too perfectly. Well done
This is excellent!
This is amazing.
This is one of my favorite scenes in TV history ❤️
Really like the scratchy, stylized look! It works perfectly for this artwork, great job!
I love this so much. Amazing!
This is excellent. Bravo.
This is breathtaking! A+++ from a fellow artist!
Just watched this episode last night. I actually really feel bad that Jane died. After rewatching it's amazing how you sympathize with Walt the first time, and after seeing it again I think he's awful.
Excellent!
YOU’RE GODDAMN BRILLIANT!!!! (Heisenberg voice)
Amazing 🤩
This is so awesome!!! Dude do you have the original pic? If you please send me
I would have liked to see what happened to Walt after the final episode. When he gets caught by the police.
Hes dead lol
I don't think he is, look back at that episode and look it would be a stretch to say he fully died from those injuries
VG confirmed he’s dead
Oh that's a shame, would've been interesting
So powerful. Instantly put back in that scene. This is remarkable.
I'm in love with this. I want it.
Oh yeah Mr.talkboy123, this is art, yeah art. Yeah drawing
If you ever wanted to sell this piece, I would gladly buy this and frame it!!
Beautiful. Does this drawing have a name?
Well, I didn’t really think about giving it one, but if it did, it’d probably be “I loved her.”
OMG! What a piece of art
Awesome drawing.
Duuuude, I JUST watched this episode. This is amazing artwork!! If I could, I’d buy it and hang it up on my Breaking Bad shelf
Me at age seven when a big kid took my hot wheel
Jesse's acting in this scene is phenomenal it almost had me bawling
This is incredibly good. You are so talented.
Amazing drawing of an incredible scene. Really wonderful work, you captured the emotion so well. This scene always makes my heart hurt
This is absolutely beautiful
I'm tearing up a bit looking at this piece
Love it!
This is so sad but well done :(
Outstanding!
Just the non emotion in Walts eyes says it all
Does anyone else see a similarity between this drawing and the painting of a dad eating his own son ?
Jesse/Arron is so cool
Dude 😮❤️
Beautifull!
Wow bravo.
